  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This supports what I said about faces and genitals matching.

Yet they don't always match, at least in a perceived sense.

Humans are constantly evolving. Different races have different levels of neoteny. If you look at skulls of prehistoric women, they have faces that are more masculine looking. There's always going to be a spectrum and outliers to the norm.

I think for the vast majority of people's faces most people could correctly get the sex right. Doubt a 100% success rate even with a fairly normal looking population. In extreme cases I've heard from women born with very masculine features that they occasionally genuinely get mistaken as trans-women despite dressing feminine and all that. Something which really bothers them. You can in fact still be cis and suffer with dysphoria. Even if probably fairly rare.

What you said about women with very masculine features and trans women and dressing feminine agrees with what I said about distinct masculine and feminine faces. Contrary to what the doctor said, dysphoria has a connection to appearence, which has a connection to genitalia.

But even on that spectrum and outliers, there is still a basic masculine or feminine face, even if its distorted and might not properly match their genitalia.

Regarding what you sid about different races, there is still a masculine neotony and a feminine neotony. Human evolution hasnt changed that.

I do not really see how it does, but alright. I do have a hard time understanding your posts.

I dont think there ever was a situation where someone married someone whose face and genitals naturally had an appearence that didnt match. This has to do with your post about less neotonous women having dysphoria and being mistaken for trans men, not this post.

Yeah but I thought we were talking about perception. In the case of that, male and female faces are not always distinct to the observer. You can probably find men and women in history that looked like identical twins face wise.

Everyone has different tastes. There is a segment of the population that like dominate looking women. Look up Louis Theroux and female body builders, lol.

Look up tv tropes opposite gender clones and twins. They look similar but they still have a male female distinct look. how are male and female faces not always distinct to the observer? And what do you mean about perception?

Yeah whatever, if you were told to rate 100 faces I doubt you'd get a 100% success rate.

As far as perception, I mean from the observer. One person might think one is a female and another male. Everyone is a little different genetically, and the way our brain perceives things is probably also slightly different.

Thats because some people have short or long hair. Natalie portman with short hair looked very different from a man or a boy with long girly hair.

So you think looking male and female is just about recognizing potential mates?

Sorry, I wrote this in another section, but I don't think that section is very active. So, I am going to repost it here.

Do you find it disrespectful when young men or any man refer to women as chicks? I don't understand why they do this. There is this chick outside and she was like this or that, is what I hear a lot. My brothers refer to women this way.

Why can't they just say there is this lady outside?

For me, i see no problem in calling the female of the sex, b.i.t.c.h. Woof!

Males and females relate to people differently. This supports what I said about distinct faces and physical features.

Eh.. you should see some of them.. lol. Although to be fair, I think steroid abuse contributed a lot to their facial appearances. Not to mention there are men who like trans-women. While notenous faces are the average norm, within a population there are always going to be genetic mutations that arise a diverse set of attractions and fetishes.

Most men prefer women around the age of 22, yet some men are born with an innate attraction to women in their 90s. Obviously such attraction is not beneficial for survival, so the numbers with this unusual attraction will always be small. Despite genetic mutations always occasionally wiring some men in such a way.

I thought we were talking about facial features? Hair is pretty shallow. I was talking about a test whee you see nothing but the face. Excluding the hair. More just a mask.

So you think differences in how genders relate to one another is related to reproduction and reproductive hormones?

Long haired men and women do look very distinct at least to a certain degree.
