Yes, I disagree. The description of a pandemic is a wider/global spread of an epidemic, which is a rapidly spreading disease in a localised community.
I would agree that the information being passed out by certain instrumentalities may be corrupted by emotive or political influences.
If I was him, and in his elected area of responsibility and implied authority, I would be asking God as to why He has let this virus loose on society, and why so many nations in the world that claim to be Christian seem to be the hardest hit.
Then I would be saying to we Christians, we must adhere to our government’s directives, even if we don’t agree with them, unless they go against God’s moral laws. I would then say that we Christians, having done that, shouldn’t be fearful of the virus, or of dying from it or anything else, because as Paul said, “absent from the body, present with The Lord”.
The speaker implies that anyone or government can be deceived by the evil one, and he is right!
