It’s a matter of what you do with that belief that is important. You could, for example, believe that black people are inferior; no one can prevent you holding that belief. But, come on a forum like this and begin voicing that belief, or attempt to ban people on the basis of race and you might just have a problem..

If my belief means that I must be obedient to Christ, then, by your own arguments, I must proclaim the gospel. And you should respect that. You don’t, however, need to reply.

It's rude because when you do it, you are telling me that you don't care what I have to say about myself. You come in having already pre-judged me and you don't give a damn about what I have to say. This may be a surprise for you, but as an atheist, I really don't care about the threats your holy book makes regarding me, since I don't believe it's anything more than fiction to begin with.

And again, I ask that you don't derail the thread with your general apologetics.

You seem intent on derailing this thread and turning it into general apologetics. Confine your discussion to the OP and if you want to have a thread where you can go off on how your beliefs tell you what atheists are like better than the atheists themselves, you can go and start your own.
