  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You need a better analogy than that if you are looking at disproving Intelligent Design and Creationism.

I for one would not have a problem with both things and could believe them simultaneously. That the pool break, little break, I suppose a microcosm of the big break, aka Big Bang. But that there was a kind of "guiding force" if you will to the process and especially when it comes to origins of Life etc.
There may be, but there is no theological necessity that it be manifest in the behavior of natural phenomena as explored by science. A fully naturalistic abiogenesis and a fully naturalistic evolution are entirely consistent with divine creation.

Sure if they can ever make their case I could go from being a Christian Old Earth Creationist to a Christian Evolutionist.

But people don't realize just how much stuff is tuned to for human life. It's staggering. And pool hall analogies are not going to cut it.

Or human life is fine-tuned for the "stuff."
