I think it's hilarious in a head-shaking sort of way. Kids graduate from high school and can't find their own state on the map. Now that there, that's funny.

But a lot of these graduate come from Conservative Christians family.

I think he'd be sympathetic to the anger that would lead to topping his statue over. He was an interesting man, not sure if they have made a proper movie about him.. but it's a good story to film. Might be up Quintin Tarantino's ally.. even though he already did Django Unchained.

The statue was torn down because he was a white man. That he fought against the Confederacy is irrelevant.

I'll have to look into that. During this whole frenzy there might be other groups who have other ideas and want to get rid of statues of black people. Or maybe the statue is so incompetently made it is hard to tell if it's a black guy or not, lol. Than again some of these soldiers may be mixed. Although I'd like to believe Frederick Douglass would be a little harder to miss. Maybe the right angle or pose especially in statue form where the idea of a white guy may be more default in the mind, it might be hard to tell he's a black guy and maybe some of these statues are not really marked or named. Heh.

There's a word for hatred of people based on their skin colour. That word is racism.

I don't think it's reasonable. Just wondering why statues of black men would get knocked down.
