  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

Good thing I like ya, or I would defriend you right here and now for liking nothing in your coffee.

When I did a cleanse the other day (I do a cleanse every Wednesday), you can only drink tea or black coffee unlimited. I almost passed out from shock.

Whewww dodged a bullet, thank you for your mercy! :satisfied:

Oh, another traveler like myself.

Where have you traveled so far?

And I used to drink Monster and Mountain Dew constantly (I've lost over 100 pounds by working out and eating right), and my stomach can no longer digest it. I hate it. Because once in a great while, I'd love to have a Mountain Dew or a Monster but it messes up my stomach for, a week straight.

Hong Kong - (my absolute favourite), Beijing, South Korea, Japan (only Tokyo), The States, The Netherlands (more times that I care to count), Germany (nowhere near enough of it), Belgium, Spain (I hate Spain - that was honestly the worst trip ever), and France (eh, it's alright). I did all of that within eighteen months, so not bad.

New York - as you'll be pleased to hear, is my favourite place in America. I try and make it over at least once a year for the Brooklyn vibes and the hazy beers. I'm not crazy about Manhattan - the Subways are disgustingly hot and humidity is just awful. Don't get me wrong, the Lower East Side is fun. But Brooklyn is better.

Next trip will be upstate though. All I've ever seen is the five boroughs.

Hong Kong I love so much that I'd actually live there, I'm hoping to do six months at some stage - then I might see about emigrating.

India is a pretty big one to tick off given my love for Indian music, and South East Asia is up there too.

Obviously, I'm bias towards London. I do think we have the best city in the world.

That's a shame about your stomach, what were you living on? Jelly Babies? Lol. The most severe thing I ever did was low carb. With enough dietary fat it actually works really well, but it's such a needy diet and very hard to get right. I did it for about a year, and then ate a cookie one day and ate nothing but carbs for about a month.

I am honestly still confused about how to navigate through this forum

It can be a very confusing site because there are so many forums.

I was supposed to be in New York now and South Korea and Japan for 5 weeks later this year.

Not sure how long it'll be before we can travel again safely, but I doubt it's going to be any time soon.

When all this is over and done with we'll have to meet up in London. I am a member of a club there if you fancy a whisky and cigar which I think I remember you're also partial to.

I landed in Beijing. But, didn't stay there. Went to Xi'an. Amazing experience. I can never eat Americanized Chinese food ever again Really wanted to check it out some more. Planning to take a huge trip to either London (it's awesome you live there; it's been a dream of mine to teach over there and will need to look into it more once I graduate) or Germany once I graduate with my Bachelor's (only have to do my student teaching and that's in January!).

Hahaha, I lived off of Doritos and Mountain Dew. I think just because my diet consists of clean eating, if I ever fall off the wagon (which I do give myself cheat meals or a cheat day), my stomach can hate me for days afterwards depending on how overboard I can get.

How long were you in NYC for? I don't live near the city. I live more up north. I really like Boston. I also travel to California regularly and down south! :) My plan is to hit all 50 states and go overseas often.

Morning :) :coffee:

Have an idea for an interactive thread, you might see it later. Or I might get distracted and forget and you might see it tomorrow, lol
Where.
Is.
It?

So beautiful out today... nearly 80*!
It was amazing today! It rained later. Did it for you?

Did you do anything specifically to enjoy the sunshine? :)

About to eat a Grilled Chicken Salad with extra Pineapple. :D

Also God is really working in my life, and I'm feeling a lot better mentally today. :satisfied:
Aw, glad you're doing much better! Sometimes, we can have a lot of off days. I'm glad you're doing better <3

Bummer about the traveling bit :(

That is unfortunate. What were you going to do in NY, South Korea, and Japan?

I came back home from running to a kitten hiding on my steps. I tried to lure her in with promising the world and she ran to hide in the bushes. She thinks she can outrun my love. It is cute.

I used to be in Piccadilly every Friday night for a smoke - it's a shame that little luxury will probably be heavily restricted for at least the next year.

I'm not a member of any clubs, but I do have one or two very good friends who work in the bottle shops. One actually scans my bottle and uses her staff discount code as if she was the one buying it. Mind you, that's a reciprocated thing, so I'm not really profiting.

When you eventually get to South Korea, head to Itaewon. I had the most fun of my life in Itaewon, they say NY is the city that sleeps - er, it isn't. Seoul is.

Flew over Xi'an, looked amazing from 40,000ft - so does Russia, actually. The good thing about London and Germany is that you can do both. Stay in London for a bit, then take an EasyJet into Europe, it's really cheap. Gatwick to Schiphol is a very regular commute for me. Crazy how it's cheaper than a train ticket. Then if I feel like it, I hop on the train to Frankfurt for about the same price. So, for £60, I hit London, Amsterdam and Frankfurt. (My sister lives in the Netherlands, so Europe is really accessible for me anyway.)

Sounds a bit like me with my superhot peppers. I love a good chilli festival, and I tend to do very well in chilli eating contests, but my digestive tract will literally cry. My mouth is as hard as nails, but my gut is but a dainty little flower.

I always stay in NYC for three weeks to a month. It's a bit of a second home to be honest. I could walk into the 7-Eleven in Delancey St. now and they'd know who I was lol. I'm probably known as that "two cans of Monster peach tea guy".

I'm fond of Chicago too. The city - as incredible as it looks, has a weird "out with your auntie" vibe about it. Everyone was just so natural, at least when I was there.
