The problem with masks with the healthy is they are often misused and actually pose a greater risk. Stuff like pulling them down to talk, constantly taking them on/off, leaving used ones lying around like a car/house, not changing them frequently, etc... so I think generally for the healthy it's better not wear them. But for health care workers, the sick or vulnerable it should be worn. For cultures that value group thought over independent, have a lot of control and/or less value for critical thinking are going to operate with a lot of fear and will just default to a mask because they react more and want to keep away fearful of what they don't know.why is the U.S. so different re OP
husband travels to China for work so has friends there
they've said they can't believe we're all NOT wearing masks
from the get go, Americans were told not to buy/wear masks as they wouldn't help prevent plus they want them for health care workers
article I read THIS week is now saying, they DO offer some protection & some protection is better than no protection
I've been going out for supplies but now going to let husband because since he has a wood-working mask he can wear which he had bought for his hobby
