Yes the COVID-19 is real, but don't believe the media for everything they say - take it with a grain of salt and pray for the truth. The truth always comes out in the end.
Take precautionary measures (wash your hands more frequently, go out less, take 2 showers, etc.) but more importantly, trust God! Look to Him and have no fear.

Look at what's happening in Italy and Spain. The bible, in Proverbs and elsewhere often compares the wise man to the fool. It's a time not to panic, not to be in denial but to be wise. The return of the Lord is soon and this virus is part of the birth pangs. God Bless You

It's not "harmless" for anyone. Everyone who catches it and manages to survive must still heal from it, and some people will heal less fully than others.

Many who survive will still suffer enduring or even permanent lung and kidney damage.

I am confused then why are so many cases considered mild? That does not add up ( not saying you are a liar by any means, but sense most are recovering and few ( compared to how many get it are you serious or worse condition I fail to understand what you mean by "manage to survive as currently that appears to be the outcome for the vast majority of people ( especially those who are younger and/or have no underlying health concerns. By no means am I trying to make light of this or anything, but I am confused by "manage to survive".

Well, to err on the side of caution, is more reasonable than to act as if nothing is occuring. Even if you so happen to believe there is no pandemic,(which is false) there most certainly is a virus going around killing people.

What I see, and what concerns me is the constant daily fear inappropriate content. We have people hoarding toilet paper because this has been ramped up to such a hysteria. A Lot of people I have spoken with have the hurricane hype vibe about them concerning this virus. These are the people that have never been thru a cat 5, so one bearing down on them is exciting. They will actualy get 'disappointed' if the storm doesn't hit their area. I saw this with hurricane Maria. Boy did people get upset they didn't get to 'see' their 160 mph winds.

I get the same vibe with this virus. You tell people anything contrary to the sensationalism they get aggravated. It is like people actualy want to hear nothing can be done. All is doom, and death.... there is no hope at all.

And yes, like it or not. There is a real political aspect of riling up the population, causing fear in the markets, panic among constituents concerning the perception of this virus, and how it is 'mishandled'.

I don't know the truth of it's origin... or the truth of it's severity. We do know that people are dying from it, which is sad...

I will say that whatever the cause... the governments of the world, and the media.. are using it full well in their agenda's.

I would like to know.. If China knew about it in November... why did they wait till January to say anything and the big WHY.. that everyone at my work, and probably yourself, wants to know... This thread is a veritable clinic of nutty thinking. If it weren't my concern that some of you will be out and about, taking no precautions and thereby endangering us, I would think this is kind of funny.

Amidst all the lunacy, note how consistent and clear the message is from the experts - you know, the ones with real degrees from real universities:

- This is not "just like the flu";
- This is really, really serious;
- We need to act now, not tomorrow;
- Social distancing is exceedingly important.

Regardless of how it started, it's real now. People are getting sick and the virus is exponentially spreading. While Jesus followers don't need to live in a state of fear and panic, God gave us brains for a reason, and a healthy brain would indicate that it would be reasonable to take precautions, if not for ourselves, but for the health and safety of those who are most vulnerable.

Even IF there is some conspiracy, it is something that is outside of the control of most of us, so we need to focus on what is in our control, and that is doing what we can as a community to limit the spread of the virus.
