What do you guys think about Yoga? Is it truly Satanic or is it harmless?

Have you wondered why Jesus ( and all the saint also ) appears in pictures doing those hand signs? They are called "mudras" and they are just like a "yoga posture", they are useful for your body, for the flow of energies within your body. These mudras are also used in hinduism and buddhism, the sign you do when you pray is also a mudra so you have been used this special sign without even knowing about it and its origins.

Have you wondered why Jesus appears in some pictures with one of His hands pointing up and the other down? Do some research, in satanism, their god, baphomet, has the same exact posture but it's more clear, they call it: "as above so below"; Jesus said in the Lord's prayer: "on earth ( below ) as it is in heaven ( above )".

So do some research guys, the truth is so much deeper...... I have studied these things for quite some time... it's incredible of what one can find if he/she seeks for himself/herself.

I don't think its satanic, strictly speaking. Some christians brand too many things satanic. If something involves interacting with satan in some way, it is satanic. That said its not being satanic does not mean its necessarily harmless, or spiritually neutral. The "opening your third eye" thing would concern me. What does your instructor say about that?

Is it really necessary at your college that you do a course of yoga to get a health credit, are there not other ways to get that?

Sorry, but no. This idea is like saying adultery or rape is OKAY, as long as you don't feel bad about it !

Doing yoga, where you stretch your body, which edifies it, and "open your mind" which, like meditation, is just quieting the monkey chatter of the mind, and being still,

is not like

forcing someone to have sex against their will, which is of violation of loving your neighbor as well as a law in all countries, nor committing adultery, where you have sex with someone that is not your spouse, usually without telling them, have to lie to the spouse repeatedly to cover up what you are doing against them, breaks your vow to be faithful, one of the 10 commandments, and grounds for divorce.

I've taken yoga. We may be asked to be mindful, stay in the present, be conscious of our movement, quiet our minds, but there is no talk of praying to a deity. Most people approach it as the same way they would an aerobic or spin class.

As for meditation, when I began, I couldn't sit still for 5 minutes. "Emptying your mind" that some Christians claim is an opening for demons is ridiculous.
After some practice, I went from:

min 2 I wonder how long I have to do this. Oh, I need laundry detergent. whoa come back. Center. Be still.

Min 30: Stillness, feeling the consecutiveness to God.

And I remember the verse: Be still, and know that I am God.

The meditation helps calm my mind so it is easier to hear the HS speak, and he does quite frequently, only before, there was a crowded bar of thoughts he had to shout over.

The yoga helps my body as all stretching does. And that's where I leave it.

However, I do want to read about how the West has appropriated Yoga from the people it originated from

Oh boy. Off the top of my head I know the hand sign is the greek(I think) symbol of Christ. Like it’s supposed to spell his name.
And who knows if the “satanists” or occults actually got the above/below from the Lord’s Prayer. Satan is a counterfeiter; it would make sense to mirror and distort it to confuse. Also, black mass is basically a catholic mass just with blasphemy.
I think it’s best to avoid thinking they’re similar.

Sources for God the fathers “wife”? Also, For the Egyptian “yah”, while it is transliterated as Yah into English, we are not sure if it was pronounced the same as the Hebrew pronunciation.
I think it’s best to remember that confusion is not of God.

It's harmless. It's relaxing and also improves physical strength and can help with a variety of issues. I do it to help ease back pain. There's nothing wrong with it. God knows why I do it. Case closed.

I agree, so why are you spreading fear of false gods and not fear of the Lord? You give power to that whom you tell us to fear. The Lord our God is One....besides Him there is no other.

I would advise against spreading the idea that there are others besides God that we can worship and should fear.

I would advise against condoning people to partake in the worship of false gods with ritualistic activities such as yoga, but that’s just me. Calling gods false and encouraging people to not participate in the worship of false gods is not “spreading fear”. That’s silly.

It wasn’t me that said “have no other gods in my presence”.

Knowingly participating in false deity worship is not fearing the God of Jacob.

And a good example why there is nothing supernatural in Yoga is Tai Chi. Tai Chi does have yoga in it and also shares the same "beliefs" with chi energy and all that. These Tai Chi beliefs have monks to sensei's saying that "once they harness their energy to their center, they can't be moved or hurt", it has had this hype as the most powerful martial arts because of these beliefs..

However take that guy, even if he has 100 years of exp, to an MMA fighter of only 3 years experience and that Tai Chi guy is going to get knocked/chocked out in a minute. Hence it's all fiction. The true thing is that it is physically health but it's scientifically explained. There are Christians who really need to stop being so against getting educated, it just shows your faith is all ego.

However, I'm not going to say it or Yoga has absolutely no supernatural influence within them. All the video proves is that the Tai Chi guy couldn't fight.

Relax. I meditate and stuff all the time, and it's honestly brought me closer to God and helped me be a better Christian. Opening your mind can let God in; I know people say it lets the devil in, but if you open your mind with the intent of letting God in, then the devil isn't going to just strong-arm God out of the way and take control. God is all-powerful.

Granted, yoga teaches some stuff which may or may not be true. But if it doesn't directly contradict the Bible (and I don't mean any of these 'implied meanings' that people use to twist Scripture'), then it's a silly fantasy at worst. Regardless, just pray to God about your problems. He's the only one who can give you a good answer. And remember, follow what God says, not what people tell you God says.
