What do you guys think about Yoga? Is it truly Satanic or is it harmless?

I've joined a Yoga class to get my health credit for school. I need the credit to graduate HS. I've only had one class so far and right on that first day we did the child's pose, tried to stimulate our third eye and we "opened our minds" it was pretty alarming to me because I'm going to be stuck doing this for the next couple months and probably committing idolatry with those yoga poses.

So, do you find yoga satanic as well? Do you think it's nothing? Discuss!

The standard version of yoga is probably a little bit of too fake spiritual for a Christian.

My wife was into it for years before being born again.

In third grade she teaches a toned down version to the kids in her classroom. It seems to help them learn how to calm down inside. These kids are very hyper these days.

Think there is also a Christian type of yoga available?

It is definitely not harmless.

It seems even in the best of 'circumstances' to be putting trust in some other entity or method instead of in God,
and whatever is not by/of/ faith according to Scripture is sinful.

There's a host of Biblical sites online showing this from many Scriptures.

Wear ear plugs or a headphone radio and just do the physical part.
If the Teacher objects, ask to speak to her privately to explain your problem about religion.

Not called yoga though.

If the goal is PEACE (that cannot be shaken nor taken), then the Bible says clearly,

"he whose mind is stayed upon Christ, is kept in perfect peace" Perfectly in total Harmony with all Scripture, all of God's Plan and all of God's Purpose, with no shadow and no iniquity.

(i.e. also, blessed (happy and joyful and peaceful) is he who meditates on God's Word consistently/ daily/ frequently)

Yoga is totally fine. It is a means to stretch the body and control/direct one’s thoughts through calm and movement. It is the thing that finally helped me make a breakthrough in my recovery from anxiety and PTSD.

Stretching and breathing and relaxing is certainly not satanic.

It's very useful. Having control over your thoughts is tied with control over your body.

But you actually have to provide evidence of harm.

Good example provided frequently the last few years and dozens if not hundreds of posts:

But you actually have to provide evidence of harm.

If you can show that, then it's worth considering.

Frequently found opposed to all Scripture in the content of posts, and if I remember right denies
Scripture is God's Authoritative Word and opposes the Apostle Paul, indicating a rejection of Jesus as written in the Scripture .....

Evidence of harm or else you have misread scripture.

Let us assume scripture is correct for a minute.
Then there is evidence.

If no evidence, then scripture has been misread or misapplied
by you.

Just because you think something, does not make it so.
Lot's of people make that mistake.

Lets say....."nuns are evil!" Check the records.
Few nuns in Jail....then we are wrong about nuns.
I guess we misread about nuns.

Confused? Do not assume Scripture is correct.

Scripture is always correct.

People are almost always wrong (since they usually reject God and Scripture as in your own posts).
