Final question: what do you think is meant by a veil lifting. Should a believer be able to see this or are they protected by the Holy Spirit, who offers a sound mind. God is not the author of confusion.

I may have drifted from the original post...but it is related.

From my understanding, the veil is the "crust in the eyes" we have for REALity - our blindness to true reality. This way, if someone has rejected the Most High God after an apocalypse (lifting the veil), then they know exactly why they end up where they are.

I do think there is something to the Mandela effect. The entity that comes will be able to manipulate the laws of physics as we know it. Its proximity to this plane of existence causes disturbances that we falsely equate to things like the Mandela Effect.

The namesake and paradigm is just a way for rulers to get ahead of what is coming, and to control it.

The veil is darkness, simply put.
When Yahuweh removes the veil, in Christ Jesus, no more darkness.

But why can't everyone feel it? Some are living beautiful, blissful lives.

Believers in Christ Jesus are set free from all the deception, sometimes immediately, sometimes over time, perfectly as God directs and says in His Word and Spirit.

The illusion of "beautiful, blissful lives" is part of the deception, or so it appears.

I don't know anyone who ever tried to confirm it, per se.

(The idea comes to mind though - the lepers - when they were healed. As Jesus told them, they went to the one appointed to verify they were healed. Yet only one in ten came back and thanked Him.)
(so also a person's testimony changes completely when they become a new creation in Christ Jesus)
When a person is walking in the light, a new creation, it is obvious to some others, or even to many others - they see the total change in life that is required by God and provided by God.
The person though, might not even be aware themselves of what others see clearly - because the new creation is not self-absorbed nor even 'self-conscious', rather being God-conscious ! Totally looking to God, Godward, with heart and soul and mind all set upon Christ Jesus in all the thoughts and hopes and dreams and goals and aims and all in all > CHRIST JESUS !

Scripture says those who taste of salvation and fall away, are as if they were never saved at all.

God 'reversing time' is not the right image. Picture a motorcycle wheel, with a hub and a rim. God exists in the hub, and time runs around the rim.

Now insert a spoke. That is God reaching out and touching time.

Now insert another spoke, randomly or as is practice across to the other side of the rim. God has now touched a different point in time.

And continue. Lace the wheel, each spoke touching time, both before and after the previous one in time.

That is how God interacts with time.

And how He can make something as if it never happened.

This is the worst news of all time, honestly. And I dislike that this can even happen to a human being. God is everything...all powerful. Why should we fall away?

We can warp reality with enough faith - which is why these things press on people worried about their salvation: they know very well the feeling of worrying about salvation, ever seeing the Most High God, and their ultimate fate in hell. And, they want as many of the Most High God's kids to feel just as bad as they do, because what they try to convince us of is what their fate will be.

If you can't hurt The Man Himself, go after His kids...

That feeling that you don't belong in this world? It's because you don't belong to this world. Paul wanted to move on, but chose to remain. God says above all perseverance is the key. It's a war of attrition, with the benefit of knowing who wins in the end. May that be our strength in a life time of trial.
