Who gets cast into the everlasting lake of fire?

If all sinners go into the fire, we are all doomed.

You are NOT seen as a sinner, if you confess and repent of your sins (daily would be nice!).
If you do this, the Trinity will see you as being righteous!

This has been a good discussion for me.
... I mean how many of us take in the homeless and feed the hungry (noting these are things I do),
and visit the sick and them in prison? But I fall short still. Grace then is my hope and salvation!

God's incredible GRACE, and our FAITH, and our GOOD WORKS ... ALL play a part in our salvation.

Yes you got that part correct, very good. I'm investigating the Catholic Church to become a member so I know the importance of good works for those capable of providing good works. Faith and Good Works

I figured you were more of the "three free sins" crowd...which really means indefinite free sins. The only sin that is gonna take you to spiritual death is unbelief, but the other sins are means that can get you there.

Spiritual = pneumatikos

Death = thanatos

Does anyone you know today live like the disciples did in ACTS , trusting the heavenly Father with ALL....

I say this, because I think it important for non-believers (who visit this site) to know .... they can receive Jesus at any point in their life and be saved ... and begin a new life with Him, here on earth ... and receive eternal life with Him in a world that has no more pain, sorrow or death ... for eternity.

Does anyone you know today live like the disciples did in ACTS , trusting the heavenly Father with ALL....

They learned how to walk with Him .... we choose to learn how to walk with Him ... and people are in different stages in their "walk" with the Lord.

I agree. One of the outcomes of the baptism of the Holy Spirit is boldness, not to be confused with arrogance.

I’m not sure that boldness is something that all who possess the Holy Spirit will receive. I know many believers who are too afraid of confrontation to witness to nonbelievers. Paul is clear that the Holy Spirit gives different gifts to different people.

This morning, as part of my ongoing word study on fire, flame and burning, I came across something in my KJV which may not set well with some who have posted on this thread:

“You have conceived chaff, you will give birth to stubble; My breath will consume you like a fire. The peoples will be burned to lime, Like cut thorns which are burned in the fire. You who are far away, hear what I have done; and you who are near, acknowledge My might. Sinners in Zion are terrified; Trembling has seized the godless. Who among us can live with the consuming fire? Who among us can live with continual burning?" Isaiah 33:11-14

God answers His own questions with what can be summed up as, The Righteous.

There are a lot of Christians doing ministry work in Muslim areas who are risking their lives for the gospel. I must say that I do admire their faith and their courage and I pray that God will help me to grow into a faith that strong.

Sometimes people need to walk before they can run. Many people often change their beliefs as they grow in their knowledge of the gospel. I’ve often wondered if God intentionally made the scriptures to be a bit ambiguous for the sake of discussion and debate as a way to motivate us to study His word more closely. Just a thought.

There are two fillings of the Holy Spirit; I'm talking of the second one for ministry and ministry gifts 1 Cor. 12

My friend, if someone accepts Jesus with a sincere heart ... they will be saved .... when they do Jesus will begin His work in them, changing their hearts and their thinking ... and if they continue in Him out of love ... they will see eternity.

so obviously they die in their sins and trespasses..

and so will we ... we all need a Savior, and that is Jesus.

Unless the Father grants (understanding) from Heaven, a man is not able to receive it...
no matter how much 'study' or 'debate' or 'discussion' (re: scribes and pharisees) ....

Yes, I was going to point this out also.
IMO, the NT does NOT say that any gift of boldness is given to a Spirit-filled believer.
I have it in spades, but part of that is because He has totally protected me and provided for me,
which does great wonders for one's STABILITY ... leading to BOLDNESS.
But, I don't see much in the NT about boldness being given as a gift (or otherwise).

Not only that, but I am one of those who believes (from the NT) that
man is totally unable to believe in Jesus and His Gospel on his own;
God must provide the necessary faith for man to believe!

People might be totally "sincere", without trusting Him.

Isn't it an old saying " the road to <the bad place> is paved with "good intentions" " ?

A lot of multitudes seem to have (and state openly) they have a "sincere heart", but remain on the wide (popular) road to destruction .... disobedient transgressors, unwilling to repent.

There definitely are many levels of spiritual Truth in the NT.
IMO, the more effort one puts into learning the NT, the deeper God will lead him/her!
