The department of meteorology is a government funded department, they just measure temperature everyday. They don't need to deliver results or findings, they just measure national temperature.

The department of meteorology is not bidding for some funding or a contract. The department of meteorology couldn't care less what government is in power. They just measure temperature that is pretty much all they do.

If you think the department of meteorology is lying about the recorded temperatures, then approach them with your temperature measurements. Refute them and you have my full support, I have been after them for years.
Evidence is all you need.

diaphtheirō (dee-af-thi'-ro) The word used for destroy means to ruin by corruption. Or having been ruined by corruption. But it's sated 'implication' or what is implied is to destroy.

We find the same word used in (Luk 12:33) for example:

Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. G1311

Again the moth does not corrupt/destroy it.

Then we have the words of Jesus:
Luk 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

The days of Noah were of such profound corruption God sought to destroy man. So the way I take this is destroying those who morally corrupted the earth. Not those who destroyed the earth by pollution.

And if we should take care of the earth as you so state, then we should reduce carbon emmisions, pollution of all kinds, fracking, destruction, dumping of toxic waste in poor communities, etc. regardless of the climate debate.
The deniers are the ones who want to full on continue to harm the planet...for example, Trump's deregulations in almost every, if not every, environmental area...propping up coal, opening up drilling in the artic, etc., rather than supporting a clean environment and clean alternative energy solutions.

On the contrary - we know there was an ice age many centuries ago and we know that today is not the ice age. From point "A" to point "B" is absolutely a warming trend.

How "else" did you propose it??

What is more .. we know that before that - God created the earth and that Adam and Eve were not living on a frozen patch of ice but rather a world that had a mild temp all over - much much warmer average temp than we have today. And that would be before the ice age.

All you said is true but Trump was elected to elevate the USA. Trump was not elected to manage the natural world environment.

You have crossed the wires. Governments manage countries and are elected to manage the economy.

We don't really have an upper level of government that manages world affairs except for the United Nations. They don't have the money or the power to really do anything about the global environment.

If you are alarmed at global warming then that is your problem. There is nothing much you can do to stop a hundred nations from developing industrialization and massive emissions. The game was over decades ago and we have passed the point of no return. With the development of China, India, Pakistan and the rest of Asia. Global climate change will accelerate very quickly in the coming years.

Full steam ahead into a frightening new world.

Right, I don't see how the historical grammatical context warrants it. It seems flagrantly anachronistic.

There are much better places to go to in order to argue for good stewardship of the earth. Genesis 1-2 for example. And while it may seem nit-picking, one context is "apocalyptic" and so conjures up end-of-the-world scenarios and mentalities while the other just points out that we ought to be good managers and administrators of what God has given us.

Our elections are mainly conducted over economic management of the economy. We don't want a tax on carbon and the greens and the left wing can take a flying leap.

Your rights may be way down that list.

I post this one because I think many on the more "right" side of the political spectrum see climate change alarmism as really just a power grab by socialists or worse. And your statement that the government is elected to "manage the economy" seems to verify those concerns. You just want government to micromanage their lives, control their property, and "control the economy" - in some people's eyes (so I think).

I think if you want to persuade people to your cause you ought to start with axioms that ensure their natural [God given] rights are secure first, then argue for solutions. Just an observation.

Oh and what to do about living in an environmentally sustainable fashion? The answer is right in front of you. Right now as we speak. A true environment catastrophe is taking place. 2\3rds of humanity in the developing world is dumping their raw sewage and toxic industrial waste directly into the water and air. Just like the developed world was doing 100 years ago. What changed in places like the United States where we no longer do that? It was called wealth and that wealth was created because we culturally adopted many Biblical principles found int he scripture. We now have the luxury, the disposable income to live in an environmentally sustainable fashion. The developing world is raping the environment to survive.

So the answer to saving the planet is to do what most of the developed world has done. Create the wealth to be able to live in an environmentally sustainable fashion. The problem is the anti science religious green movement thinks wealth is the problem not the solution. So they seek to stop economic growth. The inspiration behind that movement is anti Christ. Plain and simple.

I was answering posts regarding climate change and it's implications. Why the governments of the world are hamstrung about acting on climate change, e.t.c.

What any government does or does not do is irrelevant in the end. The climate change scenario cannot be stopped.

For decades we were told the Arctic ice caps were melting, (Gee were is all the flooding?) Yet they purposefully ignored the fact that the Antarctic ice caps were setting yearly records. Which simply means there is more solar radiation in the northern hemisphere earth's cyclical wobble on its axis. The only time the record Antarctic Ice made the news was when weather conditions made it drop. Then all of a sudden it was big news. Not to worry though. I had just read an article a few days ago it was back up setting records. Strong Arctic sea-ice growth this year

We simply have to avoid wasteful living.

It's probably a good idea to take a close look at Western lifestyle and see if such life exemplifies denying ourselves, hating our lives (for the sake of Christ), and of not loving money.

Think of the all the money we would save if we do and use that money to help the less fortunate fellow servants in the Lord. (reference to the Parable of the Faithful Servant).
