My point is that people believe on faith alone what they are told by an authority figure and then think people skeptical of that authority figure's motives and methods are just stupid or evil heretics. A quite simple minded POV IMO.

. I’ve got a biology degree so I’m not saying this on faith nor am I relying on other scientifically illiterate opinions . I can see some of it . Direct observation! I do understand that making unverifiable claims is how some religious people get knowledge but scientists are different. When Scientists make claims they have to demonstrate it with evidence not just spout mere words . And journalists making claims in family magazines isn’t evidence.

Climate change is most certainly a real effect. It is man made, and the rising levels of CO2 in the atmosphere are well documented. They are measured daily.

Unfortunately there has been a deliberate attempt to stifle and confuse the debate by people with money. They pay trolls to create all kinds of disinformation ... with the intention of stopping legislation that might affect their profits. It is shameful, and it should be criminal.

The principal problem at the current time is global overpopulation. That is our #1 problem. Climate change is making things more difficult because billions of people depend on natural rainfall and climate seasons for their survival. Any changes can have a terrible effect on their prosperity and survival

Attempts to fix the climate with technology ... these are mostly science fiction right now. It would take a huge amount of energy to fix the atmosphere or the oceans.

ocean acidification, kidney problems, less nutritious plants , expanded range of disease organisms sounds like a win to you? Whatever flips your cookie! But it sounds likes a problem to me since all of these things are happening faster than living species can adapt to them and it’s causing extinctions. Humans are not the only species on the planet and a lot of these are crucial for our survival as a species. High numbers are not a guarantee against extinction either . Read 200 year old descriptions of passenger pigeon flocks blackening the sky with their numbers and realize that there isn’t a single one left .
Our society would never have tolerated the vast numbers of passenger pigeons. The carnage that they left in their wake would, today, be an environmental emergency.

They died off due to the fact that they must have enormous populations and vast areas of land to survive.

Just to correct my fellow Canadian's (timothyu) description of Canada: Our healthcare is abysmal. One must often wait many months for medical procedures that are critical. My Dad nearly died waiting for heart by-pass surgery. Folks in my church, crippled by severe joint pain, are typically waiting more than a year for orthopaedic surgery. And the average Canadian does not have access to the very best surgeons and specialists available in the country. If one does not live near these medical experts, one is referred to a less skilled doctor or surgeon in one's area. Some of them are quite awful, leaving their patients in worse condition than when they first encountered them.

Canadian taxes are becoming obscene - especially for those who are wealthy and create jobs for many others. The outrageous federal carbon tax has been rejected by five provinces so far, the premiers of each promising to repeal the tax as quickly as possible. Our Prime Minister is an idiot of epic proportions, a radical SJW with a god-complex, virtue signaling at every turn and pushing Canada aggressively toward socialist communism. He has humiliated himself on the international stage and angered a great many Canadians.

Canada, then, is not a country to emulate. We have a good many social and political problems, not least of which is the incredible antagonism of the government to anything Judeo-Christian. We've recently got hate speech laws that for the first time in all of British Commonwealth history dictate to Canadians not just what they must not say but what they must say. And so it goes.

they died off because they were slaughtered in huge numbers for food too. You’re correct that our society wouldn’t have tolerated those pigeons in such large numbers but we also could be having them in our supermarkets right now too. They’re also not the only species that had large numbers and have died off.

. No offense but only a science illiterate would do those stupid things and encourage other in the same stupid behavior
I think that those people who are driving this global climate panic.... want to keep the vast masses as illiterate about science as they possibly can...

Seriously?

I believe it is the other way around. Every once in a while you will hear a bona fide weather professional make a report on a news site that denounces the whole "hockey stick" farce of a graph or explains the lack of rising sea level and the dynamics of the growing and diminishing of ice caps and glaciers...

All the facets of this global climate that are clearly controlled by the powers that be, to present an event that is not even happening.

None of Al Gores panic points have been realized.
The mantra of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, that the world will end in 12 years... is never going to come to fruition either.
Every once in a while the truth shines through this veil of deceit and scaremongering.

. It’s not a panic but to see it all you need is to be over 50 years old and live in an area where they used to have severe winters . NYC has record snowstorms that last at most 2 days before they melt . When I was a kid the snow would last most of the winter. The USDA maps also reflect this. NYC and environs used to be zone 5 it’s now zone 7 which means that the city has weather like North Carolina used to. So even laymen can see it if they know where to look.

These birds came by in flocks that would block out the sun for hours, if not days.... They were not all eaten... The flock depended on it's numbers and it's vast tracks of land...

When I was a kid, my mother showed me pictures of green Christmases.... I could not fathom that ever happening... well, it did... and that cycle will continue. Soon, the winters will bring the mega amounts of snow. Cities will have no budget or equipment to handle the amounts of accumulation...

But.. it will be blamed on CO2 and "Climate Change".... and.........people will swallow it whole... and choke on the nonsense.

In the 1900's there was a concern of shrinking ice caps and warm weather in Iceland and Norway.... then.... the cycle continued... as it will.

I don't know if any of you have seen the polar bear commercial but it says that because the icebergs are disappearing the polar bears are in jeopardy having to swim farther between the dwindling icebergs. They evidently need them to live and most are now covered with mud now and aren't white because of it but I don't understand that part of it I believe it is affecting most parts of the world. It has to and I don't understand those that believe that it is having no affect. For those that believe it is having no affect please explain your stand, thank you.

Global warming may not be occurring now, but it is a reality that is coming.

2Pe_3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2Pe_3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

you wouldn’t notice rising sea levels as it’s about 1/8 in per year . And up until recently was mainly due to the fact that things expand as they get warmer even water. Soon that will no longer be the case as glacial and ice sheet meltdowns get more frequent. Since neither Gore nor AOC are scientists I don’t see your point. The fact that a laymen misunderstands some aspect of science is par for the course in America because we tend to be poorly educated in the sciences.

in the north east ,global warming will bring increased precipitation and yes, that includes snow . No one disputes that . You think it’s not an aspect of global warming but it is. Warmer oceans and a warmer atmosphere holds more water vapour. That means more precipitation

That's about all that a Global Warming activist can say about it, isn't it? But of course the predictions were that it would already be evident by now, not just coming!

Or would it be more accurate to say that it is believed by devotees of this cause that it HAS already happened.

What a shock, therefore, was received recently by yet one more shipload of climate change fans who had set out from Norway to see the ravages of Global Warming in Arctic regions only then to be icebound where they supposed there would be only open water.

They sent for helicopters to come and save them. ;)

Extremely misleading commercial. There are more polar bears alive now than at any other time in history as I understand it. The lie about global warming is causing many to become earth muffins instead of following Christ. The Bible makes it very clear after the flood that we will have our seasons and our harvests, our hot and our cold until the end of the world.
Gen.8

  1. [22] While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
They had a type of symposium some years ago and purposely did not invite the world’s leading authority on polar bears to attend. Unfortunately science is not pure and you get what you pay for often. This is not true in engineering things like bridges and hard science.

Yes, that was funny. I read the article in Breitbart whose title asked, "What is that hard white stuff?"
