  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is the land restoration to the nation of Israel found in the new covenant?

If someone shows up at your church who needs to move to the middle east, and claim a piece of land, should you tell them this fact?
Haven't had that happen yet, have you?
I wonder how much longer the Mods are gonna let the merry go round thread go on............
I am just glad I am a Preterist and don't have to worry about which Tribe I come from or which piece of land I am entitled to........

It is believed that those among the Gentiles who feared and worshiped God were the sheep outside the fold of Israel to whom Jesus was referring. After the book of 2 Chronicles, the Bible no longer makes a distinction between the Jews and the other ten tribes. They are all called Jews. From that point on, there is only Jew and Gentile. The promised land will indeed be cleansed but the righteous among the nation of Israel will be those who are left when Christ returns.
The Jewish people have retained their identity. The Northern tribes of the House of Israel have lost the knowledge of their ancestry, as God planned it.
But God sent Jesus to save them and the Christian Western peoples are the successful result. The Jews have had 2000 years of God's grace to accept the Messiah; they have failed and now they face the wrath of the Lord. Only a remnant will survive. Isaiah 6:11-13

The people who inherit the Land are every faithful Christian, Ephesians 3:6, Romans 8:16-18, + John sees them all there; Revelation 7:9 They are there when the AC conquers them; Daniel 7:25, Revelation 13:7 and it is them who welcome Jesus at His Return.

What you should worry about is what the Lord will say to you.
You have promoted and taught the idea that Bible prophecy is all fulfilled, excepting for the final Return of Jesus. This idea contradicts just about every prophecy, let alone the historical record.
I would not like to be in your shoes. James 3:1

I will continue the conversation for as long as anyone else is willing. When did I ever say that I wanted to quit? Are you willing to continue?

Certainly. You asked why I ask questions.

Do you ever ask questions?

Who forbids us to ask questions?

The Bereans must have had questions for whose answers they searched Scripture. (Acts 17:11)

Every merry-go-round comes to an end eventually. In the event that the administration decides not to interject itself, the participants will eventually tire of this thread and drop out. Someone always has to have the last word and there always has to be a last man standing in this test of wills. I do declare that the reason why this thread has gone on for as long as it has is that the most active participants do not wish to appear weak and therefore will continue to engage until they've run out of answers and tricks.

Of course I ask questions. No one forbids anyone to ask questions. I am not afraid to be asked questions, for if I were, I would not have gone the distance in this thread that I have, but then again, the same could very well be said of all of us who have engaged in this thread as actively as we all have done.

True.

So why did you ask why do I ask questions?

God's grace has not run out for the Jews anymore than it has for anyone else. Yet in the end what remains of them will be those who finally call out to Jesus for deliverance during a time to come upon the world that is far worse than anytime before it or afterwards.

2 Kings 6:16 points out a distinction between the people of Judah and Israel but that distinction disappears after the seventy year captivity in Babylon. It must also be noted that not all of the people of the ten northern tribes were taken into captivity (2 Chr. 30:5-6, 10-11, 18) and according to James, they had not lost their identity because his Epistle is addressed to those Israelites in the faith belonging to the scattered tribes. (Jas. 1:1)

And according to the book of Revelation, all the tribes appear to be accounted for because a certain number of each are called out for a specific purpose at a specific time yet to come. (Rev. 7:1-8)

I did not ask why you ask questions in a general sense, but it had to do with certain questions such as the following you challenged me with in post 931:

"So now when God goes looking for qualifying Jews, He must consider not only their DNA, but also the land in which they dwell?

What if they should happen to be traveling outside of the land when He goes looking?

Don't talmudic converts qualify? That's not fair."

The above are the kind of questions that would be asked by someone challenging the omnipotence and fairness of God.

If they were asked by someone who was not challenging the omnipotence and fairness of God, would you answer them?

So you agree that I agree with Galatians 3?

If you stand upon it in sincerity and in truth, then I agree that you agree with Galatians chapter 3.

What reason would someone who does not doubt the omnipotence and fairness of God have to ask such questions in the first place?

Someone who does not know of God's omnipotence and fairness might look at your list of qualifications, and consider such questions to be perfectly logical and reasonable.

In such a person's shoes, so would I.

Would you answer his/her questions?
