CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have to sit through an orientation today that is scheduled to last the entire day. Forced socialization. Presentations of information that can easily be gleaned from perusing the Internet. A (most likely) very unsatisfying vegetarian lunch provided. No actual 'work' getting done today.

I had not been keeping up with this thread for a couple months for reasons. How has everyone been doing?
Not physically well today, I'm afraid, Knightess. And I have another 24-hour turnaround from work starting here in a few minutes. I am sure I will get through it, though. Not so down from health complications that I cannot get to church tonight, I am sure, and it has been a while since I last went. I'm sure that will cheer me up a little. ^-^
Also OMM: Advice for those guys who have done this before and are also the type to complain about not having an SO or never attracting women, ... try not calling them by a derogatory name like (w)itch when referring to the female race in general. So long as you exhibit that kind of behavior and seeming misogyny, you are likely to remain in the single state that you also lament over. At least, a woman with self-respect will not likely be coming your way anytime soon.
