Dinos existed. We have the fossils to prove it. Millions of years ago.

People take Genesis too literally. Its not as simple as reading it in black and white. There is more to it.

God gave us science. God has given us an outline of His creation.

The Bible is NOT a science book people.

No it is not! It is a book that speaks of the glory of God! But when it speaks of matters that are scientific it is absolutely correct!

And yes it is as simple as reading it in black and white. The language, grammar and construct give it to be taken literally!

The only ones who will not take it literally are those who have been convinced that the first 11 chapters of Genesis are a lie! the evidence against a 6,000+or- year creation is very very very weak and undefensible by the scientific method.

Yes dinos existed and thrived! But it wasn't millions of years ago. That is only contrived by a now empirically proven fatally flawed dating methodology!

We can indeed calculate using the genealogies the time from after Adam and Eve lost access to the Garden and the Tree of Life, and entered the mortal world of normal time as we know it.

That mere time duration from after they left the Garden, we can indeed calculate, as you point to, but....consider --

Does it really matter even then precisely how long that genealogy time was as a mere numerical number -- as just a quantity. Just a specific amount of years? Like if it is 6,020 that would be crucial, and 7,050 would somehow be a problem?

No, that's not what ever matters at all I bet you agree. What matters instead for the genealogies I think you'd agree is how they show as the fulfillment of prophecy. Yes?

Then we shouldn't overemphasize the genealogy numerical year calculation as special or notable. It's not a key thing in any way, but instead what matters is belief. Since belief is what matters, the number is a distraction and even a wrong direction, really. What you need to say instead is that dinosaurs existed according to God's plan, and they went extinct according to God's plan, and never get side tracked into mere numerical assertions about only time periods as if that matters to faith, because it will trip and destroy some people, and then you'd be held accountable on the Day of Judgement for emphasizing a number at expense of some souls....

A very helpful chapter about this is 1rst Corinthians chapter 8.

We at times must give up some personal preference/freedom we might personally enjoy, if needed, when using that particular freedom would destroy someone weak around us.

Here on the internet, you are as if in a huge church of many thousands, and there will absolutely then be 1 Cor 8 situations.

Lets try this again. Please, no page long answers or riddles my brain can't handle them.
Was there anything prior to Genesis?
Were there Dinosaurs and where do they fit in?
Were there Neanderthals and where do they fit in?
No more polls, I just mess them up.
Thanks for giving your opinion.
I believe the dinosaurs were destroyed when Satan rebelled against God and our Heavenly Father made the earth void and without form. This is called the Tohu Va Bohu in the Old Testament and the Katabole in the New Testament.

Well how long it was from the time Adam was made by god and he sinned is unknown, but it was nto billions or even millions of years to accommodate the believers in evolution!

what is known is that god created everything in 6 24 hour days! He made that a very specific point. If one cannot accept that- that is their problem. We should not hide from bible truth! The fact that God commanded Adam and Eve to procreate and fill the earth would preclude centuries between their creation and fall. So these things are important!

Do you take Revelation as 100% literal too?

It amazes me that people think that random unplanned accumulated mutations could take the non living to living and to the present biodiversity we see, given all we know and can prove of mutations!

But yes I take Revelation literally too! I know it uses much symbolic language (that is easy to see if you have a second grade grammar level of understanding), but those symbols have literal meanings!

Genesis 1-11 does not use any grammar that would imply it is symbolic of anything. Also one can write the story of evolution in even the most rudimentary language form. Why would God inspire HIs people to write an account that is so untruthful and in direct opposition to the way He did things is He did it all by unplanned random events?????
People who would believe that are what astounds me!

So, you dont believe in science obviously.

The Bible is NOT a science book my dear friend. It doest set out the creation step by step, particle by particle, atom by atom.

The account in Genesis is brief. It doesnt go into great detail. There is a LOT more to creation than what is written in Genesis. If God wanted to explain everything in detail to man, then man would need thousand upon thousands of books to write it in!

God bless you

Or, He simply tells us.

"Science" of society, is pernicious, according to the Author of All Scripture.

That means (and He Says) here and now, do not trust it, period.

Yahuweh says it is dangerous , always, maybe? , to laugh at His children who BELIEVE HIS WORD. ....

The results are in HIS HANDS (it is a TERRIBLE THING to fall into a consuming fire!) ...

So then it appears that most believe there were neanderthal and dinosaurs before Genesis. Were they created by God? Why do you think he started with them and then there was such a long separation before he created us, perfect man?
Creation & Theistic Evolution

The only idea that makes no sense to me it that they were in Genesis. Dinosaurs and humans? Nope. JMHO

No, they existed during Genesis. Before Genesis, there was no Earth. They obviously were made by God - Genesis says so.

What makes no sense is people believing dinosaurs and Neanderthals (who were created millions of years after the first humans) lived before Genesis. "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." It is clear God created all land animals on the fifth and sixth days, not before the planet existed.

There is a VERY BIG difference between believing His word and having your very own opinion as to what it means or what it is telling you my dear friend.

I did already, in context. If you want to know the truth, prayerfully and slowly read the book of Galatians. If you don't want to know the truth, then don't read it.

Obviously you cannot give me the scripture. Typical.

God bless you my friend

What ? NOTHING was created millions of years after humans. Humans have not been around more than six or seven thousand years, according to the Creator Himself.
