It will be interesting to see what the Muslim population do in support of Sri Lanka ...my guess is nothing like our leaders
At the moment they are being busy with fleeing a wave of retalatory violence.

Might have to live in a sharia law country to find out what the difference there is. It might also help if you are female to really feel the difference.

Are you concerned by the growing murder/terrorist activities of the Islamic factions?
Of course I'm concerned, that's why I live and share the gospel right in the heart of the ISIS strongholds here in the southern Philippines. In my opinion, the best way to defeat these groups is by showing those who may be at risk of joining these extremists groups the love of Christ.

While terrorism is growing in some parts of the world, it has been dropping in most others. Globally terrorism, including Islamic terrorism, has declined significantly since the historic highs we saw in 2014.

The decline continued in 2018, but the final data will not be released until later this year.

That is a good sign that there is a movement afoot towards human kindness rather than wickedness towards our fellowman. We will have to continue to pray for our world of people and all its flavors.

Millions of Arab Christians would be shocked to hear that.

Is that what you believe? Do you believe that Arab Christians call God of the bible Allah? Or, are they all too familiar with the god of Islam's name in their countries?

Arab Christians used the term Allah, before Islam even existed.

I see no need to do either of those things.

Have you?

I see Christians being slaughtered and no one calling them Christians .....
There was a Synagogue shot up today and no one, not even the President, called the victims Jews. Instead they were referred to as "Passover worshipers." Obviously a global antisemitic conspiracy.

As said before Daesh and the various other terrorist groups Islam has spawned in recent years do not have a superficial view of Islam. They most often know the Quran better than moderate Muslims and their motivations are more clearly religious and nothing else.
This is not correct. Only those in the highest positions of leadership of these terrorists groups have extensive knowledge of Islam. They use this knowledge to manipulate and radicalize those who are ignorant of Islam with a perverted version of the religion in order to pursue their agenda. In developing countries many of the members of Islamic militant groups are uneducated and are often illiterate. Not only can many of them not read the Qur'an or other Islamic texts, those who are literate have difficulty comprehending what little they do read. They only know what they are told about Islam, and if those who teach them are extremists, then what the extremists teaches them is what they will believe.

...documents of some 4,030 foreign recruits who entered Syria to join the outfit between 2013 and 2014. Some 70 percent of the recruits were listed by their handlers as having only "basic" knowledge of Islamic law; only 5 percent were considered "advanced" students of Islam; just five recruits were found to have memorized the Koran.

The Islamic State "preys on this religious ignorance" of its foreign recruits, "allowing extremists to impose a brand of Islam constructed to suit its goal of maximum territorial expansion and carnage as soon as recruits come under its sway."

In Africa concerning Boko Haram:

In all the states surveyed, there is unanimity that initial ignorance of religious teaching is the leading factor influencing the adoption of extreme religious views, especially among youth. (PDF)

The same is true here in the Philippines. Many of the rank and file members of the groups aligned with ISIS wouldn't recognize a Qur'an if it fell out of the sky and hit them in the head.

Leaders of Islamic extremists groups and anti-Islamic propagandists found online and in certain media outlets are very similar in this way as they both exploit people's ignorance of Islam and distort this religion to push their personal agendas.

But the causes of the long list of terrorist atrocities you attribute to Christians are at root ignorance and the continued dominance of tribalism, greed, personality cults , power and others motivations over newly found faiths.
This is also true for Islamic terrorism and conflict as well. Ignorance of Islam, past grievances, historical injustices, greed, and personal gain are primary motivators for those who join these groups. Religious ideology would be somewhere near the very bottom of the list as being a driving force. Even the Islamic State is driven by greed.

To use this massacre as a way of forcing Islam on students is nothing short of disgusting.

That's not what it was about. It's a show of sympathy, nothing more.

I used to go to a church at one time where many women covered their heads, similar to Muslim women, and fasting was a normal part of the Christian life, that didn't make us "Muslim".

This simply shows an ignorance of how Islam works. It is a top-down command - obey structure. If the guys at the top have an in depth and Muslim view of what their terrorism is for founded on the Quran then these are the motivations and reasons for their actions. It is irrelevant in such a structure to point out the ignorance of the canon fodder these men use to achieve their purpose.
