A member has mentioned Revelation 11:18 in some posts in reference to the future judgement and reward........aka PAROUSIA OF JESUS".
It is a rather fascinating passage with some rather unique Greek words.

I translated Revelation 11:14-18 word for word from an interlinear, using the correct tenses and putting strong's # next to certain words in case members want to look them up.
Please feel free to discuss this.

Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke's Temple/Jerusalem Discourses harmonized

Matthew 24:3
Yet of Him sitting on the Mount of the Olives, the Disciples came toward to Him according to own saying "be telling to us!
when? shall these be being,
and what? the Sign of Thy parousia<3952>,
and full-Consummation<4931-5055> of the Age.

parousia and full consumation in the same sentence, that's too much.
Yes indeed.

I actually created a thread on the Greek words for "full consummation".

EXEGETICAL (ORIGINAL LANGUAGES)

Expositor's Greek Testament
Revelation 11:18.
ὠργ. = defiant rage (cf. Revelation 16:11), not the mere terror of Revelation 6:17, at the messianic ὀργή. The prophets are as usual the most prominent of the ἅγιοι. If the καὶ after ἁγίοις is retained, it is epexegetic (as in Genesis 4:4, Galatians 6:16), not a subtle mark of division between Jewish and Gentile Christians (Vólter) or (in a Jewish source) saints and proselytes. The same interpretation (for φοβ. cf. Introd. § 6) must be chosen, if καὶ is omitted (as, e.g., by Bousset and Baljon), but the evidence is far too slight to justify the deletion.—διαφθ. “When Nero perished by the justest doom/Which ever the destroyer yet destroyed” (Byron). Contrast the exultant tone of this retrospective thanksgiving with the strain of foreboding which is sounded in Revelation 12:12 before the actual conflict.
====================
Cambridge Bible for Schools and Colleges
18. destroy them which destroy] The verb used twice over is ambiguous, and perhaps has a meaning that we should express differently in the two places; as in 1 Corinthians 3:17. Thus neither the marginal rendering nor the text is wrong.

Bengel's Gnomen
Revelation 11:18.
Καὶ ὁ καιρὸς) that is, ἐστίν. For ὁ καιρὸς does not seem here to be joined with ἦλθεν (although often in other places time is both understood to be, and is said to come, and that, in one place, jointly, Psalm 102:14), since that sentence, τὰ ἔθνη ὠργίσθησαν, και ἦλθεν ἡ ὀργή σου, is now finished. In like manner, ἐστὶ is understood after the verb ἔρχομαι, ch. Revelation 22:12. In like manner, ὁ καιρὸς (namely, ἐστι) τοῦ ἄρξασθαι τὸ κρίμα, 1 Peter 4:17; πότε ὁ καιρός ἐστιν, Mark 13:33.—τῶν νεκρῶν, of the dead) of mortals and the departed. The German Exegesis quotes many passages of Scripture speaking in this manner. Add the son of Sirach, before noticed, on Judges 1:4.—κριθῆναι) This verb, equally with δοῦναι καὶ διαφθεῖραι, is spoken concerning God, and answers to the Hebrew נשפט, which is likewise spoken of God. Isaiah 66:16; Ezekiel 38:22, in the Hebrew; and Ezekiel 17:20; Ezekiel 20:35-36; Joel 3:2, in the Hebrew, and in the Septuagint, where, however, the reading is not κριθῆναι, but διακριθῆναι; and Jeremiah 2:35; Jeremiah 25:31, in which the Septuagint has κρίνομαι. There is an allusion to the wonderful συγκατάβασις (condescension) of the Supreme Judge, whereby, for the sake of showing the justice of His cause, He blends discussion [“controversy”] with His unbending judgment. Ὅπως ἂν νικήσῃς ἐν τῷ κρίνεσθαί σε, Romans 3:4, note.

Pulpit Commentary
Verse 18. - And the nations were angry (cf. Psalm 2:1, which appears to be in the mind of the seer, for ver. 9 of the same psalm is referred to in Revelation 12:5). "The nations" raged in the period of their persecution of the Church, as set forth under the visions of the seals. They were angry, says Hengstenberg, at the progress of the kingdom of God, after the Word was made flesh. And thy wrath is come; thy wrath came. This verse points conclusively to the judgment day, the events of which, however, as before remarked (see on ver. 15), are merely indicated, not fully described. This is the last final infliction upon the wicked, the seventh of the trumpet plagues. And the time of the dead, that they should be judged; to be judged. Vitringa and others understand this judgment to refer to the dead martyrs who are now vindicated; but the meaning probably extends to all the dead, both classes of whom are referred to in the following part of the verse. And that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy Name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth; and to give their reward... and to destroy, etc. Though μικροὺς καὶ τοὺς μεγάλος, "the small and the great," is in the accusative ease, it is in apposition with the preceding datives, προφήταις ἁγίοις, φοβουμένοις, "prophets, saints, those that fear." The wicked are those who "destroy the earth," since it is on their account that the world is destroyed; they "destroy the earth" also by corrupting it, which is the force of διαφθεῖραι. In what way this destruction of the wicked is accomplished we are not told.

Hello M C. That would make for an interesting study.

Curiously, the phrase "land of Israel" occurs only in the OT book of Ezekiel of the Prophets:

Genesis 1:1 (NKJV)
"land of israel" occurs 31 times in 31 verses in the NKJV.

Eze 7:2
“And you, son of man, thus says the Lord GOD to the land of Israel:
‘An end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land.

1st time used in NT.

Mat 2:20
saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought the young Child's life are dead.”
==================================
The Prophet Jeremiah uses the "Land of Judah".
Genesis 1:1 (NKJV)
"land of judah" occurs 26 times in 26 verses in the NKJV.

Jer 31:23
Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: “They shall again use this speech in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I bring back their captivity: ‘The LORD bless you, O home of justice, and mountain of holiness!'

Only 1 one time in NT:

Mat 2:6 ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, Are not the least among the rulers of Judah;
For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel.' ”

Second woe passed is that John was shown already what the first and second woe were. The third woe takes place when the seventh trumpet sounds, according to Revelation 8:13.

Which the third woe is Satan cast down to earth having a time, times, half time left.

Revelation 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

First half of the 7 years - Revelation 12:6, the 1260 days.
Then the war in the second heaven. Revelation 12:7-9.
In the remaining second half of the 7 years, Satan earth bound for a time, times, half time.

Some of us disagree with you about that. a time, times, half time, is referring to the GT. The GT precedes the 7th trumpet, not follows it instead.

David, the beginning of the great tribulation precedes the 7th trumpet. The great tribulation begins when the AoD statue image is setup in the temple.

The 7th trumpet sounding, is after the great tribulation begins, but is still within the great tribulation.

If you look at my chart, that is what I have. The great tribulation beginning on day 1185 and ending on day 2520.

Revelation 16: A Preterist Commentary - Revelation Revolution

In this Preteri5st commentary on Revelation 16 the reader will see that the seven plagues of Revelation 16 are a very accurate description of several notable events throughout the course of the Jewish War.

The pouring out of the seven bowls of Revelation 16 is a reflection of the pouring out of drink offerings during Pentecost. During Pentecost in A.D. 66, Josephus and Tacitus record what appears to be the departure from the Temple of the seven angels with the seven bowls. Immediately thereafter, the Jewish War began. During this war the seas and rivers turned red with blood as predicted in the second and third bowls.
A multitude of miraculous signs were witnessed in A.D. 69, one year before the climactic siege of Jerusalem in fulfillment of Revelation 16:14: “They are spirits of demons performing miraculous signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle . . . .” Amidst these miraculous signs, the kings of the east, Sohaemus and Antiochus, crossed the Euphrates to meet the other Roman forces near Mt. Megiddo (Armageddon) as indicated in Revelation 16:12 and 16. During this time a great thunderstorm and earthquake simultaneously rocked Jerusalem while both Rome and Jerusalem were divided by separate and concurrent three-way civil wars as predicted in the seventh bowl in Revelation 16:18-19: “Then there came flashes of lightening, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. . . . [and; T]he great city split into three parts.” When the Romans arrived in Jerusalem in A.D. 70, Roman catapults hurled boulders into the city. These stones were white and weighed about one hundred pounds as predicted in Revelation 16: 21: “From the sky huge hailstones of about a hundred pounds each fell upon men.” In the following preterist commentary on Revelation 16, the reader will be exposed to the evidence.

Preterist Bible Commentary

A FULFILLED ESCHATOLOGY COMMENTARY ON REVELATION: THE SEVEN TRUMPETS AND BOWLS
“THE RIVERS AND SPRINGS OF WATER BECAME BLOOD.” (Rev 16:4)

“They shed the blood of your saints and YOU HAVE GIVEN THEM BLOOD TO DRINK.” (Rev 16:6)

“THE SUN SCORCHED PEOPLE. THEY WERE SEARED BY THE INTENSE HEAT.” (Rev 16:8-9)

The Romans killed 15,000 Jews from Gadara at the Jordan River. (Wars 4.7.4-6) Here one can see how “the rivers” “became blood.” (Rev 16:4)

During this massacre, the Romans pushed many Jews into the bloody water where they drowned (swallowed water into their lungs). Here we see how the Jews were given “blood to drink.” (Rev 16:6)

During the siege of Gerizzim, many Samaritans “died that day from the heat” (Wars 3.7.32) fulfilling Rev 16:8-9: “the sun scorched people” and “they were seared by the intense heat.”

PRETERIST EXPLANATION OF THE BLOOD THAT FLOWS UP TO A HORSE’S BRIDLE FOR 1,600 STADIA
Hyperbole like that in Rev 14:20 is common in the Bible and Jewish historical literature: “I will drench the land with your [Pharaoh’s] blood all the way to the mountains, and the ravines.” (Ezk 32:6) “Manasseh shed much innocent blood until he filled Jerusalem FROM ONE END TO ANOTHER.” (2 Ki 21:16) There are 3 different units of stadia. The one used in Rev is the itinerary stade. 1,600 itinerary stadia is 251.2 km, the exact length of the Jordan River (and Palestine itself). Thus Rev 14:20 echoes 2 Ki 21:16 in which blood fills the land “from one end to another.” Josephus uses similar language concerning the Jewish War: “Galilee was all over filled with fire and blood.”

“BLOOD FLOWED AS HIGH AS THE HORSES’ BRIDLES FOR 1,600 STADIA.” (Rev 14:20)

The hyperbole of Rev 14:20 is identical to how the Jewish massacre at Bethar in the 2nd century A.D. is described: “They [the Romans] slew the people [of Bethar] until the horses waded in blood up to the nostrils, and the blood . . . flowed into the sea [staining it] a distance of 4 miles.” (Midrash Rabbah Lam 2.4)

In Rev 19:11-16 Jesus rides a “horse” with a “robe dipped in blood” as “He treads the winepress of God’s wrath.” This image of blood flowing to a horse’s bridle depicts Jesus coming in judgment on Israel in Rev 19.

The Jordan is EXACTLY 1,600 stadia and was bloodied when Roman archers and “horsemen” killed 1000’s of Jews from Gadara in the Jordan during the Jewish War. (Wars 4.7.5) This v. pictures these horsemen treading this bloody river.

Do you believe Revelation is worldwide?
The verse is speaking about all the life in the sea - all the fish and sea mammals, not just the sea itself turning red.

Revelation 16:3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.

A third part of the creatures in the sea had already died in second trumpet.

Revelation 8:9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

Not even close to being fulfilled back in the 1st century. Nothing died in the sea because the Romans were not capable of having the means that would kill life in the sea. And God had not passed that kind of judgement. Jerusalem is how far from the sea?

And no one was saying peace and safety back in 70AD days, thinking that they were in that state of existence.

1Thessalonians 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

Luke 21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Fulfilled upon 70AD Jerusalem [Revelation 18]

Daniel 12:1
"And in that time/season Michael shall stand-up, the great chief prince, the one standing over sons of thy people. And becomes a time of distress<06869>, which not occurred since to become of a nation until that time.
And in that time, thy people escape<4422>, everyone being found written in the scroll. [Luke 21:23-36]

Written before 70AD and fulfilled in 70AD

Luke 21:23 “But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people.

36 “Yet be being vigilant/watching in every season, beseeching that ye should be being strong to be escaping<1628> all these, the being about to be becoming, and to stand before the Son of the Man.

1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape<1628>.
Jer 8:10
Therefore I will give their wives to others, And their fields to those who will inherit them; Because from the least even to the greatest Everyone is given to covetousness; From the prophet even to the priestEveryone deals falsely. 11 For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of My people slightly,
Saying, ‘Peace, peace!’When there is no peace.

Rapture refuted

The day on which Titus encompassed Jerusalem, was the feast of the Passover ; and it is deserving of the very particular attention of the reader, that this was the anniversary of that memorable period in which the Jews crucified their Messiah ! At this season multitudes came up from all the surrounding country, and from distant parts, to keep the festival. How suitable and how kind, then, was the prophetic admonition of our LORD, and how clearly he into futurity when he said "Let not them that are in the countries enter into Jerusalem." Luke xxi. 21.

Nevertheless, the city was at this time crowded with Jewish strangers, and foreigners from all parts, so that the whole nation may be considered as having been shut up in one prison, preparatory to the execution of the Divine vengeance ; and, according to Josephus this event took place suddenly ; thus, not only fulfilling the predictions of our LORD, that these calamities should come, like the swift-darting lightning" that cometh out of the east and shineth even unto the West," and " as a snare on all of them (the Jews) who dwelt upon the face of the whole earth " (Matt. xxiv. 27, and Luke xxi 35,) but justifying, also, his friendly direction, that those who fled from the place should use the utmost possible expedition.

Daniel 12:1 Not fulfilled in 70 AD because the book and vision have been sealed until time of the end when knowledge and travel increased. Meaning cars, jets, trains, planes. And internet, all dependent upon the discovery and application of electricity.

Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

There are still wars and rumors of wars - so the end is still ahead.
The End is associated with the destruction of Herod's Temple as shown in Revelation 11:1-2

Matthew 24:1
And Jesus coming out, departed from the Temple.
And His Disciples approached Him to show to Him the buildings of the Temple.
Mark 13:1
And He going forth out of the Temple,
one of His Disciples is saying to Him “Teacher! behold! what manner of stones and what manner of buildings
Luke 21:5
and of some saying concerning the Temple,
that to goodly stones and votive-offerings<334> it has been adorned<2885>

Matthew 24:2
And Jesus said to them, “ are ye not seeing all these?
Amen I am saying to ye,
not no may be being left here stone upon stone, which not shall be being thrown-down<2647>.”
Mark 13:2
And Jesus answering said to him, “thou are beholding these, the great buildings.
Not no may be being left here stone upon stone which not no may be being thrown-down<2647>
Luke 21:6
These which ye are beholding.
Shall be coming days in which not shall be being left stone upon stone here which not shall be being thrown-down<2647>
[Luke 19:44]

Which Temple/Court/Sanctuary is shown in Revelation 11:1-2--Herod's Temple or Future?

Revelation 11:
1 And was given to me a reed like-as rod saying "rouse! and measure! the Sanctuary<3485> of the God and the Altar[Golden Altar] and those worshiping in it
2 and the Court/fold<833>[laver, altar of sacrifice/priests] outside of the Sanctuary, be casting-out!<1544> out-side<1854>, and no it thou should be measuring, that it was given to the nations
and the holy City they shall be treading forty two months.
