If Jesus took the punishment for all sinners, why doesn't he go to Hell?

Hi.

This is a serious question. Im questioning everything at the moment, maybe its just a crisis, maybe the Holy Spirit is guiding me, because i pray to be led in all truth and to see all lies...

If Jesus took my punishment - hell for eternity - why then got he resurrected to sit on the throne? Even tho he was without sin... if he takes my punishment it must be the same punishment or not?

The old testament says that the punishment for sin is death. "If you eat from the tree of knowledge, you must die", not "you must go to hell".

I mean... Jesus took a lot of damage and pain for us. But what is that compared for one person being burned alive for eternity?

Please don't answer to just trust that all this is just rightous, and Iam too human to comprehend it. There is too much deception going on and Im no longer willing to accept anything blindly.
He actually did go to hell. Peter says that He went "to preach to those spirits which were in prison". Then He took the keys of death and of hell away from Satan and rose from the dead.

And what about the heart of the earth for 3 days doesn't sound like a lake fire?

Not in the slightest. There was no fire in Christ's tomb, let alone a lake of fire.

The heart of the earth doesn't sound fiery? It's currently believed to be a fire sphere of molten metals.

How deep do you think they dug tombs? They didn't go into the literal center of the Earth and neither did Christ.

Jesus won victory over death by ressurection. Now he has power over sin and death and can free anyone from death/hell.

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

Hmm if that's the case, maybe Jesus continues to suffer even now. If the salvation is complete, and the outcome is eternal, then Jesus paid the price (and continues to) so we could enjoy eternity.

quite the question to live in for sure.

That sounds more like you're explaining near death experiences. Tell Jesus that? That's not what he said clearly.

To the Jew first. He was the sacrificial lamb. He took the place of the Temple sacrifice, a lamb. Christ is the Sacrificial Lamb, innocent and with no sin yet gave Himself to humanity as payment for our sin. There is no condemnation in that.

He does and did. He died the death that was ours and suffered the second death just as we will without Him. On the 3rd day He was raised from the dead.

No, it doesn't sound like that at all.

It is common knowledge that "the heart of the Earth" was a reference to the tomb his body would lay in for the 3 days and nights. No scholar/biblical teacher thinks it's the molten core of the Earth or the lake of fire.

The punishment for sin is spiritual death. We will all suffer physical death, we already know this.

Jesus did suffer separation from his father on the cross, that's why he cried out, "Father, why have you forsaken me?".

The point wasn't for Jesus to stay dead, but to free us by his resurrection. You now have the opportunity for eternal life with Him, praise God!

The prophecy of Jonah, which is of Christ, says that he was beneath the mountains, and the bars of the earth imprisoned him. That is obviously a reference to him being in Hell. After all, Isaiah 53 says his SOUL was made an offering of sin.

Please state the verse that says the penalty for sin is spiritual death. The soul that sinneth it shall die. It doesn't say it say die spiritually. God did not tell Adam and Eve if they ate of the tree they would die spiritually, it says they would die.
Jesus died. The penalty for sin is not eternal burning, it is death--not eternal dying.

I'd imagine there's a difference between the first death and the second death.

Death of the Spirit would indicate the negation of God. All those in hell no longer feel God's presence. They are cut off spiritually. As stated, we all will suffer physical death.

Here's your scripture:

But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Did Adam and Eve physically die after eating the fruit? No. They died spiritually. They were cut off from the garden of Eden and could no longer talk to God. Jesus has restored our LIFE and spiritual relationship with God. Those who have Christ have LIFE. He is the truth, the way and the LIFE.
