There are thought to be only around 137,000 JWs in the UK...Well, we have got the Jehovah's Witness. I don't know if they are YECs although they do try to peddle the old "<blanks> must be designed, they're so amazing!" argument.
I talked to a couple who came to my house a few months ago, a middle-aged woman and a young (late teens?) girl. I was gardening, so was happy to chat. For every 'amazing' revelation the woman informed me of, I found I was able to give a reasoned and fairly detailed account of why I thought it was mistaken, didn't happen, etc., and give what I thought was a more plausible alternative explanation. The woman was rather nonplussed and unable to give any coherent argument to support her 'wonderful' claims, but quite accepting that my views differed. The girl said nothing, but seemed quite amused that her elder was unable to defend her position - I got the feeling she wasn't very interested in the whole house-to-house thing. I don't know if anything I said was retained, but it was an interesting exercise.
