He posted all correctly , in line with ALL GOD'S WORD - instead of trying to say sinning is okay by ignoring most of God's Word.

Paraphrasing your own conclusions has no argument power.

He posted all correctly , in line with ALL GOD'S WORD - instead of trying to say sinning is okay by ignoring most of God's Word. So he's good, right with God, as God's Word and Spirit Confirm together.
Not so , those are not good, when anyone is twisting God's Word out of context, promoting sinful unrepentant life.Yahweh's Word are all over the place - Alpha to Omega, Beginning to End, Everywhere through all time.Whoever REJECTS Yahweh's Word, has already rejected Yahweh.

My posts usually include at least half scripture. I call that a good thing.

James 4:17
So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

1 John 1:8-10
If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Psalm 51:5
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Galatians 5:16
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

1 John 5:17
All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that does not lead to death.

Genesis 4:7
If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it.”

James 1:15
Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.

John 8:34
Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin.

Paraphrasing your own conclusions has no argument power.
Testing everything always, by all of God's Word, refutes and proves wrong those who think God's Word is wrong and though they pretend to want to be something, they rebel against all of God's Word, though they quote it a lot as if that will save them, perverting both His Word and their own minds and spirits and souls with the pollution of sin --- unrepentant sin causes harm to themselves and to others around them.

Simple command: One Simple Command: Jesus Says first and last: "REPENT" (of all sin, perversion, adultery, greed, thievery, idolatry) ..... simply repent. (to start with).

But no, instead of repenting, the posts that advise others wrongly that sin is okay , that try to tell others that perversion is fine with God,
totally contrary to the GOOD NEWS of JESUS CHRIST.....
thus wallowing in the muck and the mire , self-deceived, willful and proud in sin... saying "I will" instead of "God's Will " be done.....

more and more dark, more and more sin, more and more obtuse - instead of
simply repent.

WHY? < shrugs > .... doesn't matter why, does it ? He who sins without repentance dies without forgiveness.

Better to repent of sin, be immersed in Jesus, buried with Him in baptism, and raised up with Him in newness of LIFE ! RESURRECTION LIFE !

'DO' what is good and right . Pray to walk in the light , free of the darkness.
God have mercy.

My posts usually include at least half scripture. I call that a good thing.
There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end of it is destruction.

Quoting some Scripture, while ignoring Jesus and ignoring the rest of Scripture,
is
the epitome of "having (or trying to have) the FORM of RELIGION; but denying the power thereof" --- rejecting Jesus command to repent, denying Him , denying the power of Jesus to save from sin.....

Those who continue walking in sin, willfully, without repentance, without acknowledging Jesus as Lord, but claiming they are okay , (1 John),
are walking in darkness, and there is "NO LIGHT" in them. The whole body is darkness.

I stopped attending sermons years ago.

Scripture research has taught me much since I was a legalist conservative in the past few decades. I am now a clear leftist progressive as scripture requires of me.

Matthew 7:12
“So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Luke 6:31
And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.

Matthew 7:1-5
“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.

Mark 12:31
The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

1 John 4:20
If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.

Luke 6:32-42
“If you love those who love you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to get back the same amount. But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.

Again, you said those commands are obsolete.

Happy to repost. These passages are ignored by so many.

Hebrews 8:13
By speaking of a new covenant, He has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear.

Hebrews 7:23
Now there have been many other priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office.

Hebrews 8:6
Now, however, Jesus has received a much more excellent ministry, just as the covenant He mediates is better and is founded on better promises.

Hebrews 8:8
But God found fault with the people and said: "Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.

Luke 22:20
In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is poured out for you.

2 Corinthians 3:6
And He has qualified us as ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!

Hebrews 1:11
They will perish, but You remain; they will all wear out like a garment.

Hebrews 7:22
Because of this oath, Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant.

Hebrews 8:8
But God found fault with the people and said: "Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.

Hebrews 9:15
Therefore Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, now that He has died to redeem them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.

Hebrews 12:24
to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

So ? Did you ever turn to Jesus ? Your posts I've read, as others have said for years also, trying to warn you (and others so they won't fall into that trap) , are totally contrary to His Written Word (Scripture) .
Scripture research never saved anyone -

As shown by the Scribes and Pharisees who sought to kill Jesus, are the best examples of the results of "Scripture research" without repentance and without obeying nor following Jesus..

Those descriptions of yourself are not "Christian" ways according to God's Word.

Scripture research has taught me much since I was a legalist conservative in the past few decades. I am now a clear leftist progressive as scripture requires of me.

Scripture requires repentance. Not politics.

QUOTE="W2L, post: 73564025, member: 388513"]1 Peter 3:10 For,

“The one who desires life, to love and see good days,
Must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.
11 “He must turn away from evil and do good;
He must seek peace and pursue it.
12 “For the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous,
And His ears attend to their prayer,
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”[/QUOTE

I don't remember ever seeing that post from him saying that he "desires life, nor to love and see good days" .... did you see any such post ?

His posts all seem to desire politics that can remove God's Judgment , instead of repenting of sin,
rather to get
politics that can give approval to sin, to doing evil, ..... so his 'neighbors' and others he knows or knew would not perish on judgment day. (they might have been saved, or might yet be saved, if they repent,
SAME as EVERYONE else - repent, and be immersed in Jesus' Name, for the forgiveness of sin

I hate to judge others and defy forum rules too. I hate doing that.
So don't judge anyone. Learn how to be free of sin from SCRIPTURE, from turning to JESUS, instead of trying to defend sinfulness as you continually have openly done in posts.

You're totally twisting the scriptures. You say the NT commands are obsolete but then you quote the NT commands thereby making them not obsolete. Then to justify your illogical assertion you post random scriptures about the NC.

The new covenant written in our hearts has replaced the old one.
The old written law is obsolete.
We can't keep the new one either because the heart of the natural man
still deceives and if we could, Jesus could have vacationed in Hawaii instead
of obeying mans law, and accepting the crucifiction by local law, God's law.

I hold (others) in the same esteem, as I would wish others to think about me.
This is the foundation of the Law of Moses and of the teachings of the prophets.

We , Ekklesia, the assembly of called out ones, born again ones, born by the WILL OF OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN, not by the will of man (politics), nor by the desire of the flesh (perverted sinful flesh), but BY GOD'S WILL !
We Ekklesia see his posts clearly in the LIGHT, in line with all Scripture, as also his testimony for years on this forum and in his life in Jesus.

"paraphrasing the truth" is TOTALLY better than twisting and distorting Scripture in quotes as if politics can eliminate God's Certain Judgment of Sin.

QUOTE="W2L, post: 73563874, member: 388513"]Ephesians 5 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; 2 and walk in love, just as Christ also loved [a]you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.

3 But immorality [c]or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among [d]saints; 4 and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this you know with certainty, that no [e]immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not be partakers with them; 8 for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light 9 (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), 10 [f]trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even [g]expose them; 12 for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things become visible when they are [h]exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. 14 For this reason it says,

“Awake, sleeper,
And arise from the dead,
And Christ will shine on you.”

15 Therefore [j]be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, 16 [k]making the most of your time, because the days are evil. 17 So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.[/QUOTE
