Thank you,
I appreciate your thorough answer.
Again thanks for taking the time instead of just linking to 56,025 search results.
Is it OK to ask Sabbath questions on this forum?

Yes it is. You can also ask it in the Traditional Adventists Forum.

Do either of you know what the mark of the beast is?

How could you not know?

We know for sure that it is not "Sunday Worship".

We also know for sure that this mark acts as a seal for the followers of Antichrist and the false prophet.

The false prophet (the second beast) is the one who causes people to take this mark. The mark is literally placed in the hand or forehead and is not simply a card someone carries.

Rev. 13:
"And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666."

The mark of the beast will be an end-times identification required by the Antichrist in order to buy or sell, and it will be given only to those who worship the Antichrist.

I do not mean to be sarcastic in my response but all of this IS found in the Bible.

The bible is very clear on many things even though it is written in mostly symbolic terms.

Rev_13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
Rev_13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
Rev_14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
Rev_14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

What do all these say---it all centers around worship. That is not a secular objective. It is religious in nature. What was really behind Satan's temptations of Christ in the wilderness?

Mat 4:9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

It is what he wanted from the start

Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Throughout scripture the symbolism of the forehead and the hand is mentioned.

Exo 13:16

So let it be a sign on your hand and a symbol on your forehead, for the Lord brought us out of Egypt by the strength of His hand."
Deut 6:8

Bind them as a sign on your hand and let them be a symbol on your forehead.
Deut 11:18
"Impress these words of Mine on your hearts and souls, bind them as a sign on your hands, and let them be a symbol on your foreheads.
There are over 23 verses dealing with the foreheads---it is a symbol of the thoughts--in other words, the brain of man, then mind.
The symbolism of the hand is even more prolific in the bible-- countless verses--it refers to action. In Revelation these are not actual marks either. It is symbolism --as are the beasts. The forehead symbolic of the mind, the hand symbolic of action, the beasts symbolic of powers, kingdoms, authority. It so throughout scripture.

This means that this kingdom, power, authority in control of a people, has not only secular power, but also religious power for it demands both religious worship and has the power to decline the right to buy and sell to anyone which is a secular power. If the mark is not a literal one--which it obviously isn't--
then the question would be what is the mark. It is what that power claims it as it's sign of authority. This power demands obedience to it either in mind (actual believe in its authority, or in outward conformity to it)--that at the end tines both sides are sealed by a sign of authority is stated in scriptures.

Rev_7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
Rev_7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

The mark or seal of God is on the forehead alone. The mark or seal of the beast is on both forehead and hand. God wants not just an outward conformity--His seal is on the heart. It prevents an outward conformity to anything else. The question then becomes, what is the seal, the mark the sign of God and what is the seal, the sign, the mark of this religious/secular power?

Precisely where does it state anywhere in the passages you referenced that worship is on, or not to be on, a particular day of the week? I assume that it is against your religion to worship God on any other day than Saturday. I worship God every time I thank Him for my daily bread.

There you go again--twisting what I have said. Why do you go from 7th day worship to I must not believe worshiping God any other day?? That is such a stretch of what is being said,. If you keep
God in your heart--you live for Him every day--and He says He--He, not I, has chosen one day in which to commemorate Him as the creator of all. It is His day--not mine. He chose it at the beginning of time, at the end of creation week as a memorial to His creative power. We are to live for Him every day but He sets aside one day to think of Him and worship Him all day, to set aside the world and all our work and to think only on Him. We have to work the other 6 days--only one day does He want for Himself--why is everyone soo selfish that they do not want to give Him the lousy 24 hours in a week that He asks for? It is His by right of creation, not mine, nor my church, but His. Out of 168 hours, He asks for 24 to be His alone. We have 144 hours to do the things we need to, always still, under His guidance.

Okay. You believe that the Mark of the Beast is worshiping God on Sunday, do you not?

Do you believe that Saturday is the day to worship God or will Sunday do just as well?

Doesn't matter what anyone thinks--it is what God thinks that matters.

Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exo 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

It is God that designated it--actually Jesus Himself for
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
It is Jesus that created everything, and it is He that asks us to remember Him as creator on that one day a week.

So much controversy about Sabbath keeping, so please explain;

Sabbath KEEPING -
Is 58:13 do not engage in any secular activity
Ex 20:8-11 "the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD (YHWH)" a day of rest not secular work.
Ex 16 "Tomorrow is the Sabbath" -- the very day.
Lev 23;1-3 a day of "Solemn assembly" and "holy Convocation".
Is 66:23 "From Sabbath to Sabbath shall ALL MANKIND come before Me to worship" for all eternity after the cross in the New Earth.
Lev 23 "from evening to evening shall you celebrate the Sabbath"

Isaiah 56:6-7 gentiles specifically singled out for Sabbath keeping
Mark 2:27 "the Sabbath was made for MANKIND"

1 Cor 7:19 "what matters is KEEPING the Commandments of God" where those commandments are the ones where "the fifth commandment is first commandment with a promise" Eph 6:2

Please quote chapter and verse in the answer.

Done.

Adventists do not believe that people that are attending worship services on Sunday have the Mark of the Beast.

The Mark of the beast is not "how to keep Sabbath"

But since you are interested in the topic - I have started a thread with your "mark of the beast" question where I credit the OP here
4 minutes ago #1

===================== which day is the Bible Sabbath
The Bible says "the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD (YHWH)" Ex 20:10
"Tomorrow is the Sabbath" Ex 16.

and the bible says Jesus was resurrected "early on the FIRST day of the week" -- week-day-1

The mark of the beast will be an end-times identification required by the Antichrist in order to buy or sell, and it will be given only to those who worship the Antichrist.

I do not mean to be sarcastic in my response but all of this IS found in the Bible.

Why is it a sin according to Rev 13 and 14 to be "identified" or to have buying/selling under some sort of control/monitor? (Hint it is not a sin to monitor, to have a credit card, SSN etc)

You yourself have said that God is to be worshiped only one day a week. All other days are for work.

Now that that has been settled, do you believe that the Mark of the Beast is only for those people who worship God on Sunday? For example, Muslims worship Allah (God) on Friday. Are they then free of the Mark of the Beast?

No--God (not me!) said that one day a week is solely for Him, 6 days for our work. I also said--(or are you just picking out words to slam on?)that we are to keep Him in our hearts every day---you sound as though you didn't even read what I said. No one has the mark of the beast yet--the beast has not come into power yet, when that happens and there is a mandated, governmentally imposed day to worship that is opposed to what God has said--then the decision has to be made--do we serve God or man? This is imposed on everyone.

It was you who asked me if I knew what the Mark of the Beast is. When I answered in the affirmative you responded to Major1 that we are wrong and you are right in knowing what the Mark of the Beast is.

Is the Mark of the Beast worshiping God on Sunday or not? If it is not, please tell me what you believe it to be.

There you go again---I never said you are wrong and I am right. I presented what the bible says and the interpretation from the bible itself, not my opinion. The 4th commanded plainly states that God's day of worship is the 7th day. When the beast power comes into control, it will have it's own day of worship--and it will be Sunday for it will be the Catholic church that once again has control over the religious and secular world as it had before. And they claim power over God Himself by having made Sunday the day to worship instead of the 7th. They claim it as their sign that they have the authority to change the word of God. NO ONE HAS THE MARK YET FOR THAT POWER HAS NOT GAINED CONTROL.

Where in the Scripture do we find that there will be a government mandated day of worship????

Can you explain then what Rev. 13:16 means for us...……..
"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:".

Does "RIGHT HAND and FOREHEAD" mean something else than what it appears to mean?
