CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I haven't really "done" Christmas for about four years now. I was getting so bored of the same old tired routine every year, so I just kind of ditched it and carried on as normal.
And the birth of Christ? Well, celebrating that is the basis of what I do. Daily.

I'm tired
As am I, having just gotten back from work. And yet I must stay up quite a few hours longer so that I do not wake up too early before work again in 23 hours. =/

Yeah I hear you, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to keep your sleep schedual intact. Mine has been sort of off this week since pulling an all-nighter to write a paper. I find it usually fixes itself on Sunday because of church.

I'm tired
I am also in the tired group.
But for me it's not because I had to stay awake but because I just haven't been sleeping well for no apparent reason again. 
Not to mention that the entire month of November has been very busy and now it's time for all the Christmas busyness.Hope you both can get some good sleep soon.

Yeah, same here. For the past couple nights I've been waking up every few hours for no reason.I am also in the tired group.

May I ask for prayers from everyone for two friends of mine from Magnolia whom I have known for a long time. One is a person about my age who I went to SAU with and also used to be a member of my home church there, John, who just let us know that his father had to go through emergency surgery this morning, for a retinal detachment. He said it went well, but still.
And the other is for an elderly friend named Regina who is still a member of my church and along with her husband Dennis once kindly took me in for this program the church held once where older couples in the church opt to "adopt" one of us college students who had no family of our own in town, just doing random acts of kindness and encouragement. Regina has been battling cancer for years now and every time her treatment seems to get her a few steps ahead, eventually a new problem arises that renders that treatment method virtually useless and takes her just as many steps back. She sounds upbeat and hopeful throughout it regardless, at least.

Well, Samus is great and all, don't get me wrong, but as far as video game heroines go I am sort of hoping that Rosalina from Super Mario Galaxy appear under my tree this year.

Can the Lion King remake really be called "live action"? Aladdin, Dumbo, Beauty And The Beast and The Jungle Book all have humans in them, but The Lion King doesn't, so the cast will be all CGI talking animals. I thought in the Jungle Book remake at least the landscapes were real but I watched the making of and turns out the landscapes were CGI too, and the director of The Jungle Book is directing this remake too. So can this Lion King remake really be called live action.

I'm really not feeling it. I don't understand the obsession for real-life talking animals, and you're never going to match the artwork and the graphics of the original in a million years.
It's a timeless classic, leave it alone.
