God's word is the true Light that lighteth every man and you have not one scripture that says Ephesians 4:11 is not for today. All these gifts are needed and they are needed UNTIL we all come unto the unity of the faith unto the perfect man.

I wouldn't say he is committing the unpardonable sin by his doubt. If he has an understanding that no prophets can speak today, he is wrong, but he is not so much sinning as he is misunderstanding and not seeing the mystery.

We have the apostle's writings in scripture. Just as the early Christians did.

We have the apostle's writings in scripture. Just as the early Christians did.

and their writings nowhere say the gifts for the church HAVE ceased. In fact they say they are needed until we all come into the unity of the faith unto the perfect man.

Paul writes for churches to Let the Word of Christ dwell in them richly and to wait on their gifts and to seek prophecy and he speaks to them about letting prophets speak two or three. He speaks of different gifts set in the church firstly apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers. He never says they have ceased or will until the end.

He may be. If God is speaking audibly to one of his children and another makes a claim that it isn't God, this may be, depending on what the accuser believes is speaking, the unforgivable sin.

Do you think the NT is scripture?

Yes and said nothing else. What I have said was that when the writers of the NT were speaking of scripture in almost each instance it was about OT scripture.

We believe the books of the NT is scripture because the early Catholic Church, through the Holy Spirit, confirmed the NT canon to the Catholic Church. Before that, some of the books of our canon were not considered scripture in some areas and other books were.

Paul says; “so that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ; who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye be unreproveable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, through whom ye were called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.” (1 Corinthians 1:7–9)

Notice, when Jesus is revealed he will also confirm us to the end, placing his revelation before the end. So this Revelation is not at the end of the world as charismatics say.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show unto his servants, even the things which must shortly come to pass: and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John;” (Revelation 1:1)

John uses the same Greek word as Paul speaking of the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

So John's book of Revelation is the same revelation Paul spoke of. Telling believers to come behind in any gift until then.
