The Holy spirit is really close in some pentecostal churches, with the manifestations of the Holy spirit, i have first hand experience with miracles with some ministers, Happy now?
That is all i know because i never went to another church, but if the Holy spirit is present, something is being done right.

Yes i have, i don't like to boast or something, i am a person with defects and not a super spritual person or anything like it, also God chooses to manifest himself to simple people sometimes that are not too perfect let's say. I felt the glory of God too, after attending church, and in church i entered the Holy place, so something is done right there God is not going to manifest that kind of things in a church full of 'heretics' like this cessationists say about pentecostals.

my question was not a challenge of you. i was asking in order to establish where your coming from becaseu some things you have said are commonly held notions in many churches but not supported by actual scripture .

You don't see that the life, of Abraham, Moses, Paul, etc. was built around 'experiences'??? They acted by faith because of those experiences, and learned from them, Paul learned all the gospel with 'experiences'.

the New testimony refers to a quickening .. of the holy spirit .. this is a stirring into action from within .because the holy Spirit is within us . when he has to stir us that way it shows we are unaccustomed to being led of the Holy Spirit -later as we become familiar with the lords voice IN us we are led without being driven .
where as the word anointed has absolutely nothing to do with shaking ,laughing ,energy, vibrancy, force, power and any such thing what so ever . it has nothing to do with What a person can "feel". feeling " is not anointing . so seeking after feelings is seeking after that which the natural senses desire ..it is there fore sensual and carnal- may church push this carnal based seeking of feeling . don't get caught up in it[ i was for a number of years - it led to having devils cast out ] . faith is never based upon what we feel but upon what the lord JESUS has already done and said .

The Holy spirit can be quenched by our actions, but we can get Him back after we resolve our sins.

Alithis, I agree with you about not seeking after a feeling, but when the anointing is very strong on me or in me, I do feel it sometimes. Perhaps we should "argue" about it in the charismatic thread. LOL

However when i received the Holy spirit i felt Him, and i felt the Glory of God in my house i was speechless, i did not want to move a finger, i did not think that it was even possible to experience that, when you feel something from God is not your 'feelings', you feel like when someone is touching you, you senses tell you that someone is touching you, these are not your feelings, you get testimony inside that it is from God, i personally just know it is from God when its him, the devil can make you feel things too, but about God, moses i am sure he felt the glory when he was in the mountain, Its not good to despise that kind of things, because some people feel something, when in reality is their flesh, or the devil.
