  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I ... really need prayers and well wishes right now, if you would please, everyone. I am feeling very discouraged and a bit sad after working my tail off today - on the go and quite frantically so from 4:55am to 5:10pm today at work with only a 15-minute rest at one point, and yet I feel I maybe got only 3/4 as much accomplished as any of the others in my section would have been able to, and with fewer mistakes. I know it is early days yet, but it still feels like I should be more on top of the game this time around unlike my first ever lab job being in this same place.

Please pray that God will help me to improve, even in ways I do not really know how I can at this point other than by His miracle, and not be a burden to anyone who works there with me. I know I tried, and very hard, but somehow these days it just doesn't seem to be good enough. :(



On the plus side, for real, congratulations, @Toro and @Swan7. Don't disappoint us here, now. :)

My last living grandparent died last year. Although she was mentally ill and not nice. Only met her once as a kid, but she wished that I'd fail and have a horrible life. Still, somewhat sad when she passed on.
