I am sorry brother your just repeating yourself again. It seems we will have to agree to disagree as your ignoring the posts, scriptures and questions provided to you and you will not respond to my posts. You are free to believe as you wish I do not judge you. We all answer only to God come judgment day *JOHN 12:47-48.

I have spent considerable time going through each of your posts section by section and answered your questions with God's WORD. I refer you to the most recent post which also has links to your answered questions in post # 805 linked click me. In return you have chosen to ignore my posts and the questions asked of you. So this is not a discussion. If you are happy to respond to my posts and the questions in them I am happy to continue a discussion with you. If not we will have to agree to disagree. Do you agree to respond to my posts and the scriptures and questions in them? YES/NO?

If your not able to brother it is alright, I wish you all the best. :)

May God help you as you seek him through his Word.

Here is where your link takes me to post number 764.

Hello JBL,

I have answered your question already. Why are you only half quoting me. This was what was posted to you and answers your question. (re-post below)

.............

Well that is not true. I have answered your post many times in different places already you must not read the posts and the scriptures provided to you.

Not sure why you think there is a command to assemble for a Church service on the Sabbath. I have posted the 4th Commandment to you several times already. Here let's go through God's 4th Commandment again and show what it says.

This is all you ever say.

This is not an answer to my question as you well know.

Saying you have answered my question is just repeating the same ole cut and paste.

So your answer would be no, it’s not a sin to go to Church on Sunday?

If that is your answer, then what is the purpose of all the threads about the Sabbath, whereby you tell us to repent.

What are we to repent of?

Do you believe it’s a sin to work on the Sabbath?

  • How does Jesus instruct the Church to keep the Sabbath Holy?

  • Do you believe it’s a sin to go to Church on Sunday rather than Saturday?

  • Do you believe it’s a sin to work on Saturday?

  • Do you have any scriptures where Jesus or His Apostles command the Church to assemble for a Church service on the Sabbath?

  • Do you have any scriptures where Jesus or His Apostles command the Church to do no work on the Sabbath.

  • Do you have any scriptures where Jesus or His Apostles give specific instructions as to how the Church is observe the Sabbath under the New Covenant.

The only place the Sabbath was a commandment was the law of Moses, and the law of Moses has been abolished.

Personally I think it is a waste of time arguing about which laws God wants you to follow, those laws are written in your heart and mind, and I do not subscribe to the view that: Through the law you may or may not become conscious of sin. But that's just me I guess
The Apostle Paul did indeed say that through the law he became conscious of sin. So, the concept is biblical. We need to weigh that against another thing he said, sin was before the law. So, if sin was before the law, were those sinners not conscious of any wrong doing? They had a conscience to take care of that. This whole business of the law making us conscious of sin is ONLY to promote the TCs. Since they claim that THE law that makes us conscious of sin is the Ten Commandments.

Sorry if I am misunderstanding you. It sounded like you were saying you can know God's WORD without the WORD that is why I was asking how can you know what the Spirit of the LAW is if you do not know the letter of it? God's Spirit works through his WORD not outside of it.
I will just respond to this, but will not continue a debate with you. As a child, I wondered why thou shalt not covet was one of the ten commandments. It didn't seem as important as the rest to me, but then, in those days I reasoned it only referred to material goods, such as desiring/coveting your neighbours car or house for example. Though christians should not do that, it seemed almost insignificant compared to the other commandments.
Anyway once I reached puberty, I instinctively knew lust/dwelling on impure thoughts was sin, but I still did not understand the tenth commandment any better by reading what was written in ink in the bible. But instinctively I did know what the tenth commandment truly required within my heart and mind. I did not know by reading what was written in ink concerning it. So the Holy Spirit, by writing the law in my heart and mind, did not need me to firstly read what was written in ink to understand what that law entailed

Thanks for sharing your experience. When I read your post it seems to support what I have been sharing with you already, it shows me that it was through you reading the letter of the WORD of God that lead you to have the Spirit of the WORD written in your heart. Maybe we are saying the same thing but in a different way?

But they do not believe as a hard and fast rule, that through the ten commandments we become conscious of sin. For sda members believe, through the fourth commandment written in the mind and placed on the heart, you may well not become conscious of sin concerning it

No, it was definitely not through reading what was written in the letter written in ink that I understood what the fourth commandment entailed as I have made plain.
A further example. When I first ventured onto internet debating websites, I could not recall what all of the Ten Commandments were, so in order to better debate others, I read up on them. I found that nine of them, as written were in my mind anyway, I knew in my mind I should live according to what was written in them, and in my heart I wanted to obey them.

This is indeed a confusing post and not quite true (or I am not understanding it if so please forgive me). As posted earlier it all depends if someone has received a KNOWLEDGE of the truth and has decided to continue in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN. Your coveting post is a good example. In regards to God's 4th Commandment many sincere Christians in all Churches have been lead away from God's WORD in order to follow the teachings and traditions of men and do not know any better. In times of ignorance God's winks at but when he gives them a knowledge of the truth he calls on us all to repent and believe and follow his Word.

SDA members believe the fourth commandment, as written is written in the mind and placed on the heart of all believers. But they also believe you can sin in ignorance of it. Hence:
Through the law you may or may not become conscious of sin

Which ever way you look at it. It all comes from the Word of God. If you have no WORD you have not faith you have no Spirit.

Then again you can sin in ignorance of any sin. Your coveting story was a good example.

It is important to understand the sequence the new covenant is based on:

This is the covenant I will make with them
after that time, says the Lord.
I will put my laws in their hearts,
and I will write them on their minds.’b]'>[b]

17 Then he adds:

‘Their sins and lawless acts
I will remember no more. Heb10:16&17

You only get a saviour from sin because the law is written in your mind and placed on your heart. So if you only know what law you should follow, by firstly reading what is written in ink, you have no saviour until you have read it, and then it is in your heart and mind

You said in your post you did not understand the sin of coveting when you first read about it until latter in life.
I said I knew I committed sin by lusting and dwelling on impure thoughts, though I did not understand what thou shalt not covet entailed in that regard by reading what is written in ink

This is why Timothy says that the law is good if it is used lawfully *1 TIMOTHY 1:8. God's eternal law (10 Commandments) is the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTOUESNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; JAMES 2:10-11; PSALMS 119:172. It makes nothing perfect but shows us that we are all sinners in need of a Saviour and leads us to the cross of Christ that we might be FORGIVEN by FAITH and free to walk in God's Spirit *GALATIANS 3:22-25; GALATIONS 5:16; ROMANS 8:1-4. You cannot have God's Spirit however without first having faith in God's WORD *JOHN 17:17.

Yes but latter God gave you a knowledge of what that mean't right? That is why I referred to sinning in ignorance until God gives us a knowledge of what his truth is. Sometimes this is an ongoing life-long process (Sanctification). As we grow in grace we learn more and more of the Word of God in order to believe and follow God's WORD and be more like Jesus.

The Holy Spirit dwells in all believers. All you need to know to become a believer is Jesus died for your sins at calvary, repent of that sin and ask Christ into your life as Lord and saviour of it. A minister can tell you that in a church service without having to firstly read the ten commandments to you

I was not sinning in ignorance, I knew I was sinning before I understood what the written words of thev commandment entailed. Why is that so very hard for you to understand?
