Actually, it was a pretty good one. When you know someone is playing the room, of course you will feel distain. What parts do you disagree with?
I was bothered from the beginning that this supposed PhD professor and researcher would act like a timid little girl. Psych profs tend to be very arrogant and bold. I also find it very hard to mesh that she would have little knowledge about how to heal and recover from traumatic events.
look at how the senators treated bk vs how the senators treated fordLook at how Kavanaugh behaved, like an entitled child throwing a tantrum. Yea, he has had it rough but he came unglued as opposed to Dr Ford.
Not really. Before they started asking questions, he started off with an angry, aggressive lecture. I think it put the senators on the defense. I'm not a democrat, nor a repub, so it's not a partisan issue for me. I tried to be objective. I hope that it is a mistake in identity on the part of Dr Ford, but honestly, I have little hope that the FBI will bring a resolution to this. It will still come down to, who thinks he is credible enough to ''deserve'' the nomination.look at how the senators treated bk vs how the senators treated ford
she would have behaved worse than he if she had been treated even half as bad as he was treated
he was firm and strong - not angry and aggressiveNot really. Before they started asking questions, he started off with an angry, aggressive lecture. I think it put the senators on the defense. there was just truth - everything he said about everyone and everything was true
ralphing or ralphed my cookies means throwing up in my experienceWHITEHOUSE: Let’s look at, “Beach Week Ralph Club — Biggest Contributor,” what does the word Ralph mean in that?
KAVANAUGH: That probably refers to throwing up. I’m known to have a weak stomach and I always have. In fact, the last time I was here, you asked me about having ketchup on spaghetti. I always have had a weak stomach.
Is Ralphing about spaghetti? Is that part of the everything that he said about everything that is true?
can you clarify? - i don't understand this partIs Ralphing about spaghetti? Is that part of the everything that he said about everything that is true?

You don't finish a doctorate and gain a position as a researcher and professor if you are stuck in a teenage girl mentality. I am not buying it.It’s been said that when traumatic events happen to some people, they tend to stay somewhat “fixed” in the age that it happened. She’s very intelligent and accomplished but that could explain why she comes across as a teenager in her communication style.
She was also speaking about an event that happened decades ago in front of the senate and had a national audience. I commend her bravery. I don’t think such a situation is easy. Look at how Kavanaugh behaved, like an entitled child throwing a tantrum. Yea, he has had it rough but he came unglued as opposed to Dr Ford.
i would like to know what bk says to that to know for sureI quite agree. As does Kavanaugh.
Now, in what context is it likely that Kavanaugh is "Beach Week Ralph Club — Biggest Contributor" as recorded in the yearbook?
Is it that Kavanaugh ate many spicy Italian foods during Beach Week, causing him to be the largest up-thrower?
Or is it that Kavanaugh drank alcohol beyond his limit to a greater extent than his compadres during Beach Week, causing him to be the largest up-thrower?
Or some other option?

While the paper by Ford and several other co-authors focused on whether various therapeutic techniques, including hypnosis, alleviate depression, it also discussed the therapeutic use of hypnosis to “assist in the retrieval of important memories” and to “create artificial situations” to assist in treatment.
It cited a controversial 1964 paper on the use of hypnosis to treat alcoholics and claimed that “hypnosis could be used to improve rapport in the therapeutic relationship, assist in the retrieval of important memories, and create artificial situations that would permit the client to express ego-dystonic emotions in a safe manner.” The study by Ford and her co-authors also used “self-hypnosis” to help treat their randomized sample of patients.
I drink very little but yes, people who drink too much tend vomit. You don't have to be at the pass out stage. It is one way the body gets rid of toxic substances like alcohol. And drinking to the point you go to sleep is not the same as blacking out. You can remember what happened before you went to sleep but you have memory lapses when you blackout.i would like to know what bk says to that to know for sure
i don't drink - never have - never will - so i have no experience on this subject - same with smoking or taking drugs - i met Jesus as a kid and His goodness saved me from all the messes kids get into - got into sports and community service as a kid - that's why i kinda understand bk - except for the issue of drinking beer
are you saying that when people drink too much they throw up?
bk said when he drinks too much he falls asleep
i've heard of hazed kids dying from a toxic level of alcohol - i don't remember hearing they threw up - i imagine if they would have thrown up that might have saved them from dying of alcohol poisoning
i would need more info to answer properly
that makes sense and it matches what bk saidHe doesn't deny drinking. He also said he has a weak stomach. I bet his friends had fun grossing him out to see how many times they could make him puke during that week. I have a iron stomach and did that a few times in my day. My husband was so visual that I had to watch my words or he couldn't eat. I love guacamole but he couldn't eat it because it looked like the contents of a baby's diaper. You don't have to be wasted to ralph
is drinking to the point of falling asleep just short of drinking enough to vomit?I drink very little but yes, people who drink too much tend vomit. You don't have to be at the pass out stage. If her research area includes psychiatric traumas then she was most definitely putting on a show. You can't be a helpless victim and an expert too.And it's characterised by some as a right-wing conspiracy, since The Federalist apparently broke the story, but there's a May 2008 article in the Journal of Clinical Psychology in which Christine Blasey was a contributing participant: “Meditation With Yoga, Group Therapy With Hypnosis, and Psychoeducation for Long-Term Depressed Mood: A Randomized Pilot Trial”
Here's The Federalist article: https://thefederalist.com/2018/10/0...-study-citing-use-hypnosis-retrieve-memories/
The paper, "cited the use of hypnosis as a tool to retrieve memories in traumatized patients".
The key angles being explored in this regard are whether or not Dr. Ford has been hypnotised in conjunction with either therapy (as perhaps to help in recovery from assault trauma) or her own research for the 2008 article; or whether or not something even more sinister may be at play, since she's testified to hosting Goggle staff in her home and they perhaps aided her in scrubbing her online presence sometime prior to her appearance before the Senate Confirmation Hearing Committee (which, to me, seems quite understandable), erasing a lot of her previously public online political activities and opinions, or perhaps even underwent hypnosis (administered by herself or others) to artificially construct ("create artificial situations") her claim against Judge Kavanaugh, to assure believably and passing a polygraph evaluation. I'd hate to think the worst of that were true.
I'd actually be very surprised if she didn't practice meditation with yoga and at least have tried self-hypnosis at some point. If her research area includes psychiatric traumas then she was most definitely putting on a show. You can't be a helpless victim and an expert too.
Both were unimpressive in demeanor to me.It’s been said that when traumatic events happen to some people, they tend to stay somewhat “fixed” in the age that it happened. She’s very intelligent and accomplished but that could explain why she comes across as a teenager in her communication style.
