Romans 3:31

Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

This is a verse missed by many and it says so much. I have heard many say that the Law was given by God to give us a guide to follow or that you are expected to follow it to be approved by God. This is just not the case. It was given to show us that we need him and not a set of rules.

Regarding the 10 commandments, I hold to the belief that you should love God and your neighbor and you will be more able to live a Godly life than a complicated set of rules. I am not saying that I am completely successful at it but that is where the mercy of God kicks in.

Can a person give verbal disobedience to a parent and stay saved

Honor your father and mother is not really just obedience in general if you are an adult. It is about respect and helping them in love but not at the expense of preaching the gospel and helping the poor. Not honoring your parents is like breaking the 2nd greatest Commandment (To love your neighbor); See my post #129 (below) to see my references in Scripture.

Anyways, Jesus talks about those who break the command to dishonor their parents by the sake of their own tradition:

3 Jesus replied, “And why do you, by your traditions, violate the direct commandments of God?
4 For instance, God says, ‘Honor your father and mother,’ and ‘Anyone who speaks disrespectfully of father or mother must be put to death.’
5 But you say it is all right for people to say to their parents, ‘Sorry, I can’t help you. For I have vowed to give to God what I would have given to you.’
6 In this way, you say they don’t need to honor their parents. And so you cancel the word of God for the sake of your own tradition." (Matthew 15:3-6) (NLT).

Let's just say Jesus was not too pleased with the Pharisees over this. In fact, he called them hypocrites because of this. In fact, Jesus says if you will enter into life, keep the commandments (Matthew 19:17). For the New Covenant believer today: This would be the commands given to us by Jesus Christ and His followers because we are under a New Covenant (with the Old Covenant having become obsolete - See Hebrews 8:13). But this does not mean there are not Moral Laws for us to obey in order to stay right with God. For God is good, and His people are good, too. For they are a reflection of God (working in their life and proof that He is living in them).

Sunday is not the weekly Sabbath.
It is Saturday from Friday to sundown to Saturday sundown. But Paul says in Colossians 2:16 that we are not to judge according to Sabbaths. So the Saturday Sabbath is not a binding command anymore (Also see Romans 14:5).

No. Coveting is one of the sins listed by Paul as being a grievous sin that can keep you out of God’s Kingdom.

"For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God" (Ephesians 5:5).

"For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows" (1 Timothy 6:10).

That is what I asked you to do!! There was plenty of Sabbath keeping in the NT.

Act_1:12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.
Act_13:14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.
Act_13:42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
Act_13:44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.
ct_16:13 And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.
Act_17:2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
Act_18:4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

And we will continue to keep it:

Isa 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
Isa_66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
Paul preached to the Jews in the synagogues on the Sabbath. But they tried to kill him several times for teaching against the Sabbath and Moses.

Last post of the night for me. I hope to help you see that you cannot separate Law from LOVE because under the NEW COVENANT of LOVE God's 10 Commandments are an EXPRESSION of LOVE to GOD and LOVE to man.

Please I ask you take the time to look at these scriptures and do not ignore this post as you did the other post. It will not take too long to read and shows that God's 10 Commandments are how LOVE is expressed under the NEW COVENANT.

Let's look at the scriptures...

There are two great commandments of LOVE to God and LOVE to mankind that Jesus talks about in *MATTHEW 22:26-40. These two great commandments of LOVE are not new commandments. They are quoted from DEUTERONOMY 6:5 and LEVITICUS 19:18 to sum up God's 10 commandments.

Besides being in the OLD TESTAMENT scriptures the Jewish lawyers already knew that LOVE to GOD and LOVE to MAN was only a summary of how to obey God's LAW as OBEDIENCE to God's 10 Commandments is an EXPRESSION of LOVE. The Jewish experts in the Mosaic laws understood this application in the OLD and NEW Testament scriptures.

For example, in the NEW TESTAMENT...

LUKE 10:25
[25], And, behold, a certain LAWYER stood up, and tested him, saying, Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

The GREEK word used for LAWYER here is different to the way we would understand the use of the word today. The GREEK word used here is ἐκπειράζω ; ekpeirazō it means in this case an expert in the Mosaic laws.

So we have an expert in the Mosaic law standing up to try and ask Jesus a trick questions and test him, saying what must I do to inherit eternal life?

[26], He [JESUS] said unto him, What is written in the law? how read you?

Listen to the response of the expert in the Mosaic law...

[27], And he answering said, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.

Sound familiar? Jesus then says...

[28], And he said unto him, You have answered right: this do, and you shall live.

Here is another accasion this time Jesus was answering...

MATTHEW 22:35-40
[35], Then one of them, who was a LAWYER, asked him a question, testing him, and saying,
[36], Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?
[37], Jesus said unto him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.
[38], This is the first and great commandment.
[39], And the second is like unto it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
[40], ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS HANG ALL THE LAW and the prophets.

Notice the same answer given by the expert in the Mosaic laws but Jesus adds;
ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS HANG ALL THE LAW and the prophets.

WHY? because these two great commandments of LOVE TO GOD and LOVE TO MAN SUMMARIZE our duty of LOVE as EXPRESSED in the OBEDIENCE of GOD'S LAW through faith. OBEDIENCE to GOD'S 10 COMMANDMENTS is HOW LOVE is EXPRESSED to GOD and to MAN.

Now did you notice in the first set of scriptures above that [LUKE 10:25-28] what question was asked by the expert in the MOSAIC laws? He tried to test Jesus by asking the question;

* What shall I do to inherit eternal life? (Luke 10:25)

Jesus says that he gave the correct answer; LOVE GOD with all your heart (Deuteronomy 6:5) and LOVE YOUR NEIGHBORE as yourself (LEVITICUS 19:18)

Now notice how Jesus answers the very same questions asked by the Lawyer in Luke 10:25 by the rich young rule and how the very same question he answered earlier by saying to LOVE GOD and LOVE your neighbore and on these to HANG ALL THE LAW and the prophets...

MATTHEW 19:16-21
[16], And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

Same question asked by the Lawyer in Luke 10:25 where the answer was to LOVE GOD and your neighbore. How does Jesus answer the question?

[17], And he said unto him, Why do you call me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if you will enter into life, keep the commandments.

Which commandment some might say? If we stopped here some would argue cannot be the ten commandments. Let's read on..

[18], He said unto him, Which? Jesus said, You shall do no murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness,
[19], Honor your father and your mother: and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
[20], The young man said unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
[21], Jesus said unto him, If you will be perfect, go and sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Did Jesus answer the same question correctly? Absolutely! WHY because OBEDIENCE to the the 10 Commandments are how LOVE is EXPRESSED to GOD and MAN. The first 4x commandments in * Exodus 20:3-11 are our duty of LOVE to GOD. The next 6x commandments are our duty of LOVE to our neighbore * Exodus 20:12-17.

LOVE TO GOD and LOVE TO MANKIND as an EXPRESSION of LOVE is SUMMED up in the 10 COMMANDMENTS and is why Jesus says "ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS [LOVE TO GOD AND LOVE TO MAN] HANG ALL THE LAW and the prophets.

PAUL is saying the same thing in ROMANS.

ROMANS 13:9-10, [9], For this, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, You shall not covet; and if there be any other commandment, IT IS SUMMED UP IN THE SAYING, namely, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. [10], Love works no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

................

CONCLUSION the two great commandments of LOVE are EXPRESSED by OBEDIENCE to GOD'S 10 commandments which show our duty of LOVE to GOD (Exodus 20:3-11) and our neighbore (Exodus 20:12-17). LOVE sums up the 10 Commandments and LOVE is the fulfilling [doing or establishing them] * ROMANS 3:31

The practical application here can be seen in these examples.

LOVE GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART MIND AND SOUL (Deuteronomy 6:5)

* If you love God will you have other gods before him? (Exodus 20:3)
* If you love God will you make yourself idols and worship them? (Exodus 20:4-5)
* If you love God will you take his name in vain (Exodus 20:7)
* If you love God will you forget his Sabbath memorial of creation? (Exodus 20:8-11)

LOVE YOUR NEIGHBORE AS YOURSELF (Leviticus 19:18)

* If you love your neighbore will you dishonor your parents? (Exodus 20:12)
* If you love your neighbore will you kill him? (Exodus 20:13)
* If you love your neighbore will you commit adultery with their spouse? (Exodus 20:14)
* If you love your neighbore will you steal from them? (Exodus 20:15)
* If you love your neighbore will you lie to them? (Exodus 20:16)
* If you love your neighbore will you covet or be jealous of them? (Exodus 20:17).

ROMANS 13:8-10, [8], Owe no man anything, but to love one another: for he that loves another has fulfilled the law. [9], For this, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, You shall not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying, namely, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. [10], Love works no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

ROMANS 3:31 [31], Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

CONCLUSION: IF you are breaking any of God's 10 Commandments that define our duty of LOVE to GOD or LOVE to MAN you are not LOVING therefore you stand "UNDER THE LAW" guilty before God because you are still in your sins (Romans 3:19).

I hope this helps brother. God's LAW of LOVE is not new it was written in the OLD COVENANT pointing to the NEW. If you are breaking any of God's 10 Commandments which are our duty of LOVE to GOD and MAN then you do not LOVE and are still "UNDER THE LAW" guilty before God of sin.

Those who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will not enter into God's KINGDOM (Hebrews 10:26-27).
No body is talking about unrepentant sin. We are talking about the sin of rejecting the New Covenant and replacing it with the Old. Which is what you are doing when you place yourself and others back under the law.

Of course the "works of the Law" do not justify, as any Christian truly understands, but just as the book of Isaiah, Jeremiah, and other prophetic books talk about, exactly the same as Jesus Christ declared, as well as the Apostle Paul, that through Repentance and Faith in Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit of God is given to those that are his, enabling us to learn and put into a very real action of abiding in Jehovah's Law from a true heart and soul that has the Holy spirit Dwelling within. Jesus is not just our Savior and lord, but the pure example of what it means to abide in Gods Law and it all hinges on two things...Love the Lord with all your being and Love our neighbor as we would ourselves regardless of the expense it cost us. Never would I see my abiding in Gods Laws as a means of justification, nor should any true believer, but striving and abiding in His Laws, is out of Love and Reverence for the Creator that knows better than myself or anyone else. Again, just as Paul says, and we cannot ignore it by just quoting off another verse that suits the misconstrued idea that "salvation is not of works" means that justification is just some agreement we intellectually acknowledge with our minds in order to change our destiny after we die. Justification is By Gods Grace through Faith(belief, trust) in the Messiah Jesus alone and a new life follows.

Now I ask anyone, that comes to try and rebut what I say with some random out of context verse to support a meaningless salvation only as a ticket to heaven, to really think about what I am saying and gauge yourself. Ask yourself this one question, "What Law of God is grieveous to you?" What Law are you in disdain with to go to the place of quoting scriture like Romans 20 in order to avoid a life of following Gods Law? Then i say to you, Go read the Sermon on the Mount and seek to understand what the purpose and substance of Gods law actually is. Its not a mere set of rules, but that which God has declared right.

Fyi, synagogues are places where Jews congregate to worship God and preach/read Moses Law. By your logic, Gentile Christians should now be required to go to Jewish synagogues every Sabbath to learn to abstain from defilements of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

Jews and Jewish Christians going to their synagogues every Sabbath to hear Moses Law being preached and read has no connection whatsoever to the exemptions from the Law given to Gentile Christians at ACTS.15:28-29. It is a bit of a stretch for you to connect the two.
....... It's like saying, "Jesus Christ died on the Cross on the Sabbath and Passover day. So, people can only be saved on the Sabbath and Passover day and Gentile Christians must also keep the Sabbath and Passover day."

Also, ACTS.15:28-29 exempted the Gentile Christians even from the Biblical or Jewish or Old Testament Sabbath law if it proved a burden to them. Today, in most countries, the Biblical or Jewish or Old Testament Sabbath law is definitely a burden for Gentile Christians, similar to the Circumcision law and Kosher foods law.

MATTHEW.23: = 1 Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, 2 saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. 3 Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do. 4 For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. 5 But all their works they do to be seen by men.

Paul says that the Moral Law (like: Do not murder, do not covet, do not steal, etc.) is the equivalent of loving your neighbor (Romans 13:8-10). Paul does not mention the Sabbath here.

Not loving your neighbor is a salvation issue.

Love your neighbor (Mark 12:31).
Consequence if disobeyed:
(a) “He that loveth not knoweth not God.” (1 John 4:8 ) (cf. John 17:3)
(b) Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. (Matthew 25:41-46) (cf. with Luke 10:25-37; For in Luke 10, we learn that to help the poor is to love your neighbor).

Love one another (i.e. Love the brethren) (1 John 4:7)
Consequence if disobeyed:
(a) “Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.” (1 John 3:15).
(b) “He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.” (1 John 2:9). (c) “In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.” (1 John 3:10).

The command to love your neighbor originates from Moses Law, ie ...

Leviticus.19:17-18 = 17 ‘You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him. 18 You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.

In effect, you are stating that salvation is by keeping the Law.

Christians will only lose their salvation if they lose faith in Jesus Christ or renounce their faith in Christ or depart from the faith of Christ or '- faith'. Salvation comes by faith alone. At LUKE.23:43, an about-to-die but repentant robber who was crucified next to Jesus Christ was even saved from hell by faith in Christ.
....... Nevertheless, not loving your neighbor or not keeping the Law, either fully or partially(for Gentile Christians) may jeopardize one's faith in Christ, eg ...

1CORINTHIANS.5: = 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5 deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

There is indeed an objective moral law that remains in effect. But the 10 commandments, which obviously reflect that objective moral law, are part of the written Law of Moses. And the Law of Moses has been retired. Paul is clear about this, not least in Romans 7 and Galatians 3.

Yes, the Law of Moses was fulfilled by Jesus the Savior. Those who believe in Jesus are covered. Usually, what's not as clear is Israel's civil laws. I've heard the Ten Commandments cover the following:

"Murder (Exodus 21:12-14; Leviticus 24:17,21)

Striking or cursing a parent (Exodus 21:15,17)

Kidnapping (Exodus 21:16)

Failure to lock up a dangerous animal that results in someone’s death (Exodus 21:28-29)

Sorcery and Witchcraft (Exodus 22:18, Leviticus 20:27, Deuteronomy 13:5, 1 Samuel 28:9)

Bestiality (Exodus 22:19, Leviticus 20:16)

Working on the Sabbath (Exodus 31:14, 35:2, Numbers 15:32-36)

Incest (Leviticus 18:6-18, 20:11-12,14,17,19-21)

Human sacrifice (Leviticus 20:2-5)

Adultery (Leviticus 20:10; Deuteronomy 22:22)

Homosexual acts (Leviticus 20:13)

Blasphemy (Leviticus 24:14,16, 23)

False prophecy (Deuteronomy 18:20)

Refusal to obey a decision of a judge or priest (Deuteronomy 17:12)

Perjury in capital cases (Deuteronomy 19:16-19)

A woman falsely claiming to be a virgin before marriage (Deuteronomy 22:13-21)

Sexual relations between a woman pledged to be married and a man other than her husband to be (Deuteronomy 22:23-24)

Rebellion against parents (Deuteronomy 21:18-21)"

I would say working on the Sabbath is not a sin, but the rest are covered by the 10C.

Let's just say Jesus was not too pleased with the Pharisees over this. In fact, he called them hypocrites because of this. In fact, Jesus says if you will enter into life, keep the commandments (Matthew 19:17). For the New Covenant believer today: This would be the commands given to us by Jesus Christ and His followers because we are under a New Covenant (with the Old Covenant having become obsolete - See Hebrews 8:13). But this does not mean there are not Moral Laws for us to obey in order to stay right with God. For God is good, and His people are good, too. For they are a reflection of God (working in their life and proof that He is living in them).



Sunday is not the weekly Sabbath.
It is Saturday from Friday to sundown to Saturday sundown. But Paul says in Colossians 2:16 that we are not to judge according to Sabbaths. So the Saturday Sabbath is not a binding command anymore (Also see Romans 14:5).



No. Coveting is one of the sins listed by Paul as being a grievous sin that can keep you out of God’s Kingdom.

"For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God" (Ephesians 5:5).

"For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows" (1 Timothy 6:10).

31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

We arent under the Law in the flesh, but we establish Gods Law beginning with the 10 commandments in Spirit and in Truth.
Sorry but God established the ten. He also fulfilled them through Christ. What we establish are the commands of Christ. To love God above all and to love others as we love our self.

3. DO NOT USE GOD'S NAME IN VAIN

4. REMEMBER THE SEVENTH DAY SABBATH TO KEEP IT HOLY

OLD TESTAMENT REFERENCE: "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day; wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it." (Exodus 20:8-11)

NEW TESTAMENT REFERENCES: "For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day." (Matthew 12:8; Luke 6:5) [So the Sabbath is the TRUE Lord's Day]

it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days. (Matthew 12:12)

But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day. (Matthew 24:20)

they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he (Jesus) entered into the synagogue, and taught. (Mark 1:21)

And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath. (Mark 2:27-28) [Notice: The Sabbath is NOT just for Jews, or Israelites, or Hebrews, or Semites (descendants of Shem), but FOR ALL MANKIND]

And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day (Luke 4:16)

(Jesus) taught them on the sabbath days. (Luke 4:31)

AFTER JESUS' DEATH, HIS DISCIPLES OBSERVED THE SABBATH:

And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid. And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment." (Luke 23:55-56) [ This occured after Jesus' death obviously, which is when the false teachers claim the law was done away. They say the law was "nailed to the cross", but His disciples obviously didn't believe that, as we see here, they "rested the Sabbath day according to the commandment"]

when they (the apostles) departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day." (Acts 13:14)

And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath." (Acts 13:42) [Notice: the Gentiles (non-jews) wanted to hear the word of God on the next Sabbath. Paul DID NOT tell them, "Come back tomorrow, the first day of the week, because that's the day us Christians keep." He had them return the following SABBATH]

And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. (Acts 13:44)

For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day. (Acts 15:21)

And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made. (Acts 16:13)

And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures. (Acts 17:2)

And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks. (Acts 18:4)

For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. (Hebrews 4:4) [See Ephesians 5:1 where it states that we are to be imitators of God.]

There remaineth therefore a SABBATH Rest [See margin: Greek word is "Sabbatismos" which means "Sabbath-keeping"] to the people of God." (Hebrews 4:9)

For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD." (Isaiah 66:22-23) [I realize this is an OT scripture, BUT as you can clearly see here, this is dealing with the NEW heavens and earth (after Christ's return) and it states that ALL shall keep the Sabbath then.

It seems quite preposterous, that God would give the seventh day Sabbath to mankind at creation (Genesis 2:1-3), re-introduce it to Israel BEFORE Sinai - after they lost sight of it in captivity (Exodus 16:4-23; 27-29), codify it at Sinai (Exodus 20:1-17) having all His people observe it, including Christ, then change it to Sunday, just to change it back to Friday sunset - Saturday sunset.

THE SABBATH HAS NEVER CHANGED AND IS STILL TO BE OBSERVED!

Where's the news?
Why even ask the question unless there is something going on here of note.
Cherry-picking this verse out of context gives the wrong impression.
What do we find when we look at the context?

Romans 3:27-31
Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith. 28 For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. 29 Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, 30 since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. 31 Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.
