Freeways can be murderous. Especially given how self-centered people are today.

I imagine the more populated the city, the more ruthless people can get too. I live in Chattanooga, TN. But when I drove down into downtown Atlanta one day., helping a friend, I became aware of this.

Being in the 4th largest city in Merica..... I learned to force my way over. The cruddier the car the quicker people are to get out of your way.

Wore a long maxi dress to school today.
I was so shocked how many compliments I got from... little boys from conservative families (mother's usually wear long dresses and sometimes cover their hair). Haha. Just goes to show our definition of beauty and what "looks nice" really is from what we see our mother's and family members wear.

I think long dresses are beautiful. Some shorter ones can be nice too. It really depends on the style. It seems that shorter (knee or above) dresses are more common than long ones though.
I think all my dresses are just past knee length just because that's generally what I find.
There was a beautiful dress I found once at Ross, and I should have bought it. It was an amazing color (I called it a mermaid dress because of the color - green/blue). I should have got it because that color looks really good on me. I cannot remember the cut or anything about the dress except the color.

Sad thing is, many of these animated sitcoms are becoming increasingly dependent on shock value instead of clever jokes. One episode of Family Guy had a scene where Peter has a knife and asks Lois how he should slit his wrists. Meg then gives him instructions on how to do it for either attention or for results. TheMysteriousMrEnter pointed out how it was an incredibly callous joke because teenagers make up a very significant portion of the audience and mental illness tends to be more prevalent amongst teens. Here in Canada the rating is 14+ and this show gave us instructions on how to commit suicide just for a cheap gag.

I once commented to a friend about how ridiculous and obscene the humor was almost half the time on that show, and he responded that that is exactly what Seth MacFarlene (McFarland, however it's spelled) intended, to shock and outrage people. And I am like, well, if so, congratulations, Seth, you are an incredibly immature human being and have achieved your purpose.

They get their stardom by being abrasive and obnoxious and because so many people in this world LOVE to find something to be upset about.... people listen..... instead of ignoring those that are simply trying to offend them...... then they get high ratings.... which only furthers their success.

Its why if someone says something they don't like and it "offends them" the best way to punish that person........ stop listening/viewing..... instead of constantly tuning in for the next "offensive" thing they say/do. Ratings = Money..... doesn't matter WHY someone is listening/viewing..... just that they are.

Honestly though, I could take or leave FG. Its not offensive, but it usually DOES drip with the makers own political garbage..... so it has made me laugh at times.... but I don't care for propaganda either whether I agree with it or not. IMO Entertainment shouldn't be politicized.

Well SP has made me laugh, the one respect I do have for the creators is they don't pull punches on anyone (at least not that I have seen) they lack the propaganda that a show like Family Guy does have. (This is from what I have seen, I don't follow either show religiously.... I see the episodes that are on when I just so happen to be channel surfing (doesnt happen often)

IF someone is an all-round mocker of all things/people/groups.... etc.... I respect that cause there is no "motive" in it other than to mock and insult everyone.

Kind of like a certain person in my family..... the guy is proud to be a....... well lets just say jerk..... but he is proud of being a jerk, he doesnt hide it. So you have to respect the honesty even if you disagree with it.
