  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

Depends, really. If you have a Boxee hard drive you take good care of or if you're on the go with plenty of battery life, I'd say downloads. If you don't want to put all your eggs in one basket or if you prefer more old fashioned ways of watching movies and TV, then I'd say DVD.

thx wayholka, kk i think ill stick with downloads,

I just happened to see an article about a minor health issue I was diagnosed with seven years ago but had occasional symptoms of for about three years before that. I thought it was totally harmless before but now I'm feeling a little scared.

How old were you guys when you got your first celphone? I think I was like 11 yrs old lol. I still remember the ones I had through out the yrs, got some pics from google and made a collage pic, any look familiar?View attachment 231308
I bought myself a prepaid phone around when I turned 18 in my last year of highschool. I wanted it for emergencies. I used to have nightmares that I was stuck at school with no ride home. So it was nice to have that for emergencies. I only really used it as a clock though.

It'll be okay, Knightess, I am sure. You were diagnosed seven years ago so you are being treated for it, now, right? :) Now you know I am not saying this to patronize or make fun of you in any way, but perhaps it is just your natural tendencies towards anxiety that are making you feel scared right now? You have revealed to us that these are the kinds of things you struggle with, so I just want to be sure you are taking this into consideration and that it is likely not so bad. I just don't wish for you to feel scared or anxious.

Finished the game and I'm freakin crying! Idk what to say about the ending...

So basically the scientists had to explore the client's (Johnny) memories, Johnny requested that he wanted to go to the moon, he was on his deathbed, and he looked really sad. The scientists journeyed into his memories, there they see that he fell in love with a girl with a mental developmental disorder that seemed to grow worst as the yrs went by, her name was River. He and her eventually got married but seemed to have a rough life. River kept making origami bunnies, and seemed to be hinting something to Johnny. The scientists had to explore different memories from adulthood to childhood, but there was a particular memory that they could not unlock. They tried to implant ideas in his memories to encourage him to be an austronaut. But it did not affect his memories and things were still as is.

They needed something to trigger his memory that was hidden so they can delve further to plant a memory where he becomes a austronaut. There was a time in his life that River seemed obsessed with a rabbit that got roadkilled. The scientist had a similar accident hitting a squirrel on their way to Johnny's estate. One of the scientist remembered and took a sample of roadkill to use as a trigger via olfactory sense since Johnny was basically nonresponsive at this point but still alive.

The trigger opened the locked memories, and in his childhood, he actually had a twin brother who accidentally died while their mother was backing up her car, the scientists found out that Johnny was prescribed meds to erase that memory when he was a kid. So one of the scientist (despite her partner disagreeing with her plan) went and changed Johnny's memory by removing his memories of River. And implanting memories where his brother never died. Also implanting memories of him going to NASA. And despite these artificial memories, Johnny's memory somehow incorporated River back into the scene, where she ends up meeting him in NASA and they both end up becoming austronauts. I seriously cried at the parts where memories of him and River were erased!

but i highly recommend it lol

Remember when the iPhone cam out in 2007.. was still in high school at the time.. remember a few students had one.. people were so amazed over it back then.. we went through very clunky and slow phones to something resembling more of a desktop computer.. can't believe those iPhones are now 11 years old.

That's still going? Sounds like the apocalypse has hit paradise on Earth.

yup! it's pretty cool though! nature doing it's thing, but so crazy that people buy properties there, i have so many questions...like how much lava is under...will there be like an upward eruption that would spew huge boulders, and looks like there are talks of them bombing certain areas so to guide the lava flow

You’d think people living on islands formed by volcanic eruptions would consider that there might be further eruptions in the future...
I hear you. A few months ago, there was a thread (on this site, I think) talking about things we'd never do. Living on a volcanic island is one of mine. Visit? Sure. Live there? No thanks.

Agreed. I'd love to visit, but not live haha. I was nervous enough living in Bend, Oregon for a time. I was only a few miles away from a volcano.
