Why is it a sin to be in an interracial relationship?

A few preachers I’ve heard have said it is, and it’s pretty frowned upon where I’m from, I don’t see anything wrong with it myself so I was wondering if it was or not.

No, you've been listening to the wrong preachers. It's not a sin, it might not be a good idea but then again it might be a bad idea to be in a relationship with someone of the same race, it depends on the person.

That might be true, as a mean average, but I doubt you'll find one race inherently smarter then another one.

From my understanding, there is nothing labeling interracial relationships as sinful in the Bible. I have heard this myself, many times in fact, but usually from the older generation. In understanding their mindset, it was not the socially accepted for the races to be mixed in relationships, but that does not make it the Gospel.

The only way an interracial relationship would be sinful, or any relationship for that matter, would be if there was premarital relations involved, same-sex marriages, or adultery. The Bible clearly labels all of these as sin. There's no getting around that.

Labeling a relationship as wrong, or sinful, quite simply because two different races are involved is, more than likely, from a prejudice standpoint. Prejudices runs rapid in some churches, sometimes to extreme degrees. I have heard talk about some churches that seem to allegedly provide Biblical proof that all Caucasians (or white people) are truly saved. There's not to support this. Nothing.

Talk such interracial relationships being a sinful act towards God is just another teaching that will push unbelievers from hearing reaching for the truth.

Interesting tangent - even among any one race, there is one group subset that has a ten to twenty higher IQ tested than the rest of the race. (the ones without toxins / systemic or brain/ have the higher IQ across the board, on average)

You might have some issues with the families. Met a guy in San Francisco who married a French girl, the sweetest girl you ever met in your life. His family disowned him. He claimed no regrets, she really was a great girl.

Untrue. The anti-Miscegenation position was and remains biblically based. You may not like or agree with the biblical interpretations that were so commonly used but there are people who don't like or agree with the biblical interpretations used against SSM.

By the way, there is an instance in the Old Testament where it was a sin:

“The people of Israel, including the priests and the Levites, have not kept themselves separate from the neighboring peoples with their detestable practices, like those of the Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Jebusites, Ammonites, Moabites, Egyptians and Amorites. They have taken some of their daughters as wives for themselves and their sons, and have mingled the holy race with the peoples around them. Aside from the family because I don't think his family is a problem. But as a Christian, I would like to know.
