There is only one way to Heaven, and that is through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It is His sacrifice, and not our good deeds, that allows us to enter Heaven, because no human could ever earn or deserve salvation on their own. Only Jesus is worthy, but He sacrificed Himself so we could also become worthy through faith in Him. No one will enter Heaven by doing good deeds. We are saved by grace through faith, and it is a free gift from God when we believe in Jesus, repent of our sins and become baptized in the Holy Spirit. We are then justified through Him. Cleansed by His Blood, and sanctified by His Word.

So how could anyone come to Heaven if they reject Him?

And yes, all Hindu gods are demonic, because they aren't gods, just man made idols or demons pretending to be those gods, deceiving those who commit idolatry with those idols. They aren't actual gods, and only the true God deserves to be worshipped and He gets all Glory, because He is the maker of Heaven and Earth.

welcome to the forums...from the standpoint of scripture (Bible) Hindus cannot get to heaven without belief in Jesus. This is because Heaven isn't about good works which the bible teaches no man can do enough good works to get to heaven but because our sin separates us from the living God.

Let me put it another way. Our God is a HOLY God and we are an unholy people. Because of this God cannot fellowship with man and man cannot fellowship with God without bridging the gap between the holy and the unholy. Jesus is that bridge. God wants fellowship not appeasement. See, the natural law of the world is that when we sin (go against God's will to Love) we earn death (separation from God) It's just how it is. Blood is required to cancel this debt but the blood has to be from someone who is without sin...aka Jesus the Messiah. Belief in Jesus is like accepting His blood sacrifice in exchange for our spiritual life.

As to the demonic thing, yes many people believe this and I am not sure if they are right or wrong because I have never tested the Hindu gods to see if they pass the test in scripture or not. I do know that demons are real, does that help?

I used to worship Hindu gods, and other pagan gods, got possessed. No speculation necessary. It's as real as the Bible says it is. Jesus cast them out of me, just as the Bible says He will. No need to speculate when we have the truth from the Word of God to tell us how this world really works.

Welcome to CF

Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man enters heaven except by Him.

Here are basics of Hinduism, so any "ignorant" Christians as has been suggested we are, may find the Scriptures for the others who are ignorant of Christian faith:

  • Truth is eternal.

Hindus pursue knowledge and understanding of the Truth: the very essence of the universe and the only Reality. According to the Vedas, Truth is One, but the wise express it in a variety of ways.

  • Brahman is Truth and Reality.

Hindus believe in Brahman as the one true God who is formless, limitless, all-inclusive, and eternal. Brahman is not an abstract concept; it is a real entity that encompasses everything (seen and unseen) in the universe.

  • The Vedas are the ultimate authority.

The Vedas are Hindu scriptures that contain revelations received by ancient saints and sages. Hindus believe that the Vedas are without beginning and without end; when everything else in the universe is destroyed (at the end of a cycle of time), the Vedas remain.

  • Everyone should strive to achieve dharma.

Understanding the concept of dharma helps you understand the Hindu faith. Unfortunately, no single English word adequately covers its meaning. Dharma can be described as right conduct, righteousness, moral law, and duty. Anyone who makes dharma central to one’s life strives to do the right thing, according to one’s duty and abilities, at all times.

  • Individual souls are immortal.

A Hindu believes that the individual soul (atman) is neither created nor destroyed; it has been, it is, and it will be. Actions of the soul while residing in a body require that it reap the consequences of those actions in the next life — the same soul in a different body.

The process of movement of the atman from one body to another is known as transmigration. The kind of body the soul inhabits next is determined by karma (actions accumulated in previous lives). Learn more about Hindu funeral customs.

  • The goal of the individual soul is moksha.

Moksha is liberation: the soul’s release from the cycle of death and rebirth. It occurs when the soul unites with Brahman by realizing its true nature. Several paths can lead to this realization and unity: the path of duty, the path of knowledge, and the path of devotion (unconditional surrender to God).

Welcome to Christian Forums. There are a great many forums here, in addition the the "Introduce Yourself" forum, and people here who will offer you advice. Test every thing by the scriptures and hold that which is good. (1 Thessalonians 5:21)

There is only one way to Heaven, and that is through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It is His sacrifice, and not our good deeds, that allows us to enter Heaven, because no human could ever earn or deserve salvation on their own.
Amen. Salvation is the gift of God, not a result of works, by grace we have been saved through faith. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man enters heaven except by Him.
Amen. We cannot enter the Kingdom of God without receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior. (John 3:5-16)

Hi Kirthika, Christians cannot obtain eternal life on the basis of our "good deeds", not even those "done in righteousness" (IOW, not even those deeds which we do according to the specific will of God), so why would Hindus be able to do what we cannot where salvation is concerned?

Here's a very small sample of what the Bible has to say about this:

John 3
16 God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever 'believes' in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

Romans 4
5 To the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness

Ephesians 2
8 By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
9 'not' as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Titus 3

5 He saved us, 'not' on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy.

The Bible tells us that we are saved by God's grace through faith, which means our 'part' amounts to having saving faith/trusting/believing in Jesus, and in the righteous works He did for us (on our behalf) while He lived among us (but even our ability to do just that much is a "gift" from God, so we receive no credit from God, even for believing).
second doubt is in many websites i have read where they say hindu gods are demonic, this makes me laugh ,like a lot..,what is your opinion on that?
One of the central truths of the Bible (perhaps the central truth of the OT) is this:

Deuteronomy 6 (Mark 12:29)
4 “Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one!"

God makes this same truth clear in other places in the Bible as well, for instance:

Isaiah 43
10 “You are My witnesses,” declares the LORD,
“And My servant whom I have chosen,
So that you may know and believe Me
And understand that I am He.
Before Me there was no God formed,
And there will be none after Me.
11 I, even I, am the LORD,
And there is no Savior besides Me."

Isaiah 45
5 “I am the LORD, and there is no other;
Besides Me there is no God."

So if the Hindu "gods" are more than merely made up, IOW, if they are angelic beings "claiming" to be gods, then yes, they are demons (because there is but one God, and the holy angels would never claim to be Him).

Yours and His,
David
p.s. - speaking of Jesus Christ, the Apostle Peter said:

Acts 4

12 There is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.

Nobody enters Heaven based on good deeds. If they enter Heaven, they do so based on faith in Jesus Christ.

John 3:16: For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

John 14:6: Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

If they are not totally imaginary, then they are demons.

1 Corinthians 10:20: No, I imply that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and not to God. I do not want you to be participants with demons.

As a side issue, this is not really the right place for these questions. "Introduce Yourself" is just for saying "hello." Also, it is open to non-Christians.

Better places to ask your questions would be Christian Advice or For New Christians.

I would suggest that you go to the Source. Ask the Creator of the Bible to show you that He is real, IF he is real. Ask Him to help you understand how other gods are demons IF they are demons. If you mean this prayer sincerely, it will be answered. You might get light right away, and/or over time, but your eyes will always be opened to the extent that you are hungry for real truth, and ask for it.

This issue is widely and hotly debated among Christians. I believe in God's justice but I believe even more strongly in God's compassion and forgiveness. I have met a Hindu man whose connection with God was so obvious that it was radiant. I simply cannot imagine a God who would reject such a person.

According to the words of Jesus, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."John 14:6
Also according to the book of Isaiah 64:6 All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.

You know I just can't stand those who are full of boasting. I run, run, run from them. If one could get to heaven by their good deeds, then the kingdom of heaven will be crowded with multitudes of self righteous boasters. Then I will have to flee from heaven too! Instead you have souls in heaven all bowed down and humble before the Lord who would say "Lord, we are only here because of your great love and sacrifice for us. We are unworthy sinners but you saved us and purchased us with your perfect and pure blood. You made us worthy Lord.
If hindu gods are not demonic then why is kali known as the goddess of death and destruction with her tongue sticking out? Why does she hold a severed head in her hand? Why is she wearing a chain full of skulls on her neck?

You know there were several books of the Bible that was not included in the Bible. This was deliberately done so that people will not come to the knowledge of the full truth. But now just as the Bible says, in the last days knowledge will increase and all the hidden things are brought to light. Here are some passages from the Apocalypse of Peter (not included in the Bible) mentioning the happenings of hell. Please note the verses in bold letters.
20. And over against that place I saw another, squalid, and it was the place of punishment; and those who were punished there and the punishing angels had their raiment dark like the air of the place.

21. And there were certain there hanging by the tongue: and these were the blasphemers of the way of righteousness; and under them lay fire, burning and punishing them. 22. And there was a great lake, full of flaming mire, in which were certain men that pervert righteousness, and tormenting angels afflicted them.

23. And there were also others, women, hanged by their hair over that mire that bubbled up: and these were they who adorned themselves for adultery; and the men who mingled with them in the defilement of adultery, were hanging by the feet and their heads in that mire. And I said: I did not believe that I should come into this place.

24. And I saw the murderers and those who conspired with them, cast into a certain strait place, full of evil snakes, and smitten by those beasts, and thus turning to and fro in that punishment; and worms, as it were clouds of darkness, afflicted them. And the souls of the murdered stood and looked upon the punishment of those murderers and said: O God, thy judgment is just.

25. And near that place I saw another strait place into which the gore and the filth of those who were being punished ran down and became there as it were a lake: and there sat women having the gore up to their necks, and over against them sat many children who were born to them out of due time, crying; and there came forth from them sparks of fire and smote the women in the eyes: and these were the accursed who conceived and caused abortion.

26. And other men and women were burning up to the middle and were cast into a dark place and were beaten by evil spirits, and their inwards were eaten by restless worms: and these were they who persecuted the righteous and delivered them up.

27. And near those there were again women and men gnawing their own lips, and being punished and receiving a red-hot iron in their eyes: and these were they who blasphemed and slandered the way of righteousness.

28. And over against these again other men and women gnawing their tongues and having flaming fire in their mouths: and these were the false witnesses.

29. And in a certain other place there were pebbles sharper than swords or any spit, red-hot, and women and men in tattered and filthy raiment rolled about on them in punishment: and these were the rich who trusted in their riches and had no pity for orphans and widows, and despised the commandment of God.

30. And in another great lake, full of pitch and blood and mire bubbling up, there stood men and women up to their knees: and these were the usurers and those who take interest on interest.

31. And other men and women were being hurled down from a great cliff and reached the bottom, and again were driven by those who were set over them to climb up upon the cliff, and thence were hurled down again, and had no rest from this punishment: and these were they who defiled their bodies acting as women; and the women who were with them were those who lay with one another as a man with a woman.

32. And alongside of that cliff there was a place full of much fire, and there stood men who with their own hands had made for themselves carven images instead of God. And alongside of these were other men and women, having rods and striking each other and never ceasing from such punishment.

33. And others again near them, women and men, burning and turning themselves and roasting: and these were they that leaving the way of God
