One thing I learned a long time ago was always get to know the janitor's name, and greet them, whenever I meet them. If we made it this long we might as well stay a while longer, LORD willing.

I joined about a week ago. It is a wonderful welcoming place and I appreciate it. I am still learning the ropes and all that. My favorite Scripture is the 1st Corinthians 13 chapter. It is the chapter about love. Not just romantic love, but all kinds of love. Agape or brotherly (sisterly) love. My favorite Psalm is # 139. The book I find hardest to read in the Bible is Job. Next to that is Lamentations. I love Revelation the best, I think. I don't understand all of it, but what I do understand gives me hope for our future.

I joined just this morning and headed straight to the Golden Eagle chit-chat thread. Then I was directed here. So basically I'm going to paste what I wrote in the Introduction thread:

I was a member of a Christian forum many years ago, now defunct, and I've really missed it. Finally decided to try to find another. It seems I have! I hope I find a home here as I did there.

I've been retired nine years, am active in my church, I volunteer at a local literacy council (office work, not tutoring), and I'm my condo association's secretary/treasurer. That's about it. I wouldn't want to be busier than that; I'm supposed to be retired!

I'm glad to be here!
