Proverbs 7:
The Apple of Our Eye.
God tells us here that it is a WISE thing to keep His commandments as the "apple" of one's eye. The "apple" of one's eye is something that is "treasured" and "cherished".
"My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye. Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart." ~Proverbs 7:1-3
Reminds me of God describing David as the "apple" of His eye, and other verses where God says that David was a man after "His own heart":
"Keep me as the apple of the eye," ~Psalm 17:8
"But now your kingdom shall not endure. The LORD has sought out for Himself a man after His own heart, and the LORD has appointed him as ruler over His people, because you have not kept what the LORD commanded you." ~1 Samuel 13:14
"I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfill all my will." ~Acts 13:22

Amen. God is GOOD. He warns us about those snares that are literally out to get us, so to speak. He grants us discernment to be aware of it so that we can recognize those snares and avoid them.

Proverbs 7:
I am meditating on what exactly this means....i'm terrible at memorizing Bible verses or even the sequence of the Bible chapters...i'm asking God to help me do literally what it says here, for HIM. His Word is like spiritual "manna" for us, isn't it?
