Our weather is changing.

I need to make time today and tomorrow to clean a shelf that's been on the porch and bring my plants inside. We are about to have several days of near or below freezing weather.

And maybe take some pictures of my outdoor flowers. Probably about to lose them for the year, and they are beautiful.

One of these days I want to build plastic panels to cover the walls of the porch and see if I can't keep it warm enough out there for plants to survive overnight.

I've been having the Christmas Blend coffee from All-Merciful Saviour Monastery. Great stuff. Now I understand why Starbucks sued them! ^_^

IF it's "great stuff", then Starbucks would have NO case, whatsoever
Singed
A Peet's drinker (when I add the odd cup of coffee, to the daily strong tea regimen)

Yay, Peet's! I first tried it when I visited a friend in Folsom (the city, not the prison lol). And recently found it in Publix. I'd been drinking Seattle's Best since it was the best I could find. Peet's is pricey, but I usually drink 2 cups a week so it's worth a couple of extra dollars spread over months. :)

Just browsing threads I'm no longer participating in and struck by something.

How is it that the very same persons who voice such a vehement objection to the teaching of Tradition on some point or other - "because it's not in the Bible!" - can turn right around and take one phrase in the Bible and add their own interpretation (shared by no one?) and defend it as if it's a matter of life and death?

Is it just me, or does that imply a huge heaping dose of pride in one's own ability? Not that I want to blame them, but because I shudder and think I used to do the same.

I thank God for His mercy.

And I was reminded today that I stumbled upon ccel as a newly recommitted Christian with no real knowledge of anything. And I still remember my reaction to this day - a deep suspicion that whoever the folks were that wrote those things, some of it wasn't at all Biblical. How ironic! What an idiot I was, lol.

And again? I simply thank God for His mercy.
