Cool idea, but how did it workout for the countries that declared way on Ethnic/religious groups? Well, other than Turkey, they seemed to come out on top.
Different countries with different cultures and constitutions use different methods to deal with this sort of stuff. And have different levels of success. ;)

Back in 2001 I used to joke that if the internet had been around during the battle of Britain we would have had brits and germans arguing with each other in forums

German: We pounded London again today. You guys are so weak!
Brit: Ha, how many of your wrecked planes are we melting down to make bombs to send your way?

And in a real way, here we are.

The worldwide division these days is shocking. This is not a good thing. Sometimes different cultures need some distance between them. We are experiencing the effects worldwide of the poison called multiculturalism.

Oh, I know, the people that keep calling for wars against minority groups in America are mostly full of hot air.
Yep. In my case it is similar to me saying I would like to see the federal income tax completely abolished and institute a flat sales tax. It would be awesome, but it will never happen. For starters, a few million accountants, tax attorneys, IRS employees, etc. would want to challenge it.

But a guy can dream.

Our founding fathers had some interesting things to say about islam. None of them good.

Yep Jefferson even had a Quran.

Our Founding Fathers also had a lot to say about African Slavery, most of it good.

"I believe we should declare war on Islam" - and you label yourself "Christian" - that at first made me laugh, then it made me very scared, because there are lots of people like you in the US.

Perhaps you could clarify precisely what this "war on Islam" might look like, I live near the one of the largest Mosques in Europe, they get large congregations and have a capacity of 10,000, that would be a great place to start this war - what would you recommend?

I think maybe as a Christian you might also consider reading some of the teachings of that bloke called Jesus, remember him? Love your neighbour, peace to all men, you know the stuff? I don't think Jesus would support an openly racist individual like you appear to be, what do you think?

Careful. Throwing out accusations of "racist" or "bigot" is more liable to get you in trouble than, ya know, actual racism or bigotry.

I tried to volunteer after 9/11 but was too old.

In other posts you mentioned you had a security clearance in the Army and mentioned that you are currently 64. You could have joined the Army National Guard as prior service at age 47-48.

I actually welcome accusations - if they apply. And if they don't, the attacker won't know what hit them.

Her parents lived in Arkansas, she married Bill Clinton while he was teaching law in Arkansas, then they lived there while he was in office there.

Sky, I notice that you ask to be corrected.

You are changing subject. This has nothing to do with Clintons. Using this technique is called a "Red Herring" fallacy. Hope this helps.

The ones that were true. Sorry, could have made that more clear.
Naw. I thought you were just being dismissive of the Snopes article and was having fun with it. :)

I've not been here that long so people don't really have a good feeling where I'm coming from, nor I for them. When it comes to politics, I'm strictly in these discussions for fun. My irreverence for this is pretty much off the charts.

I remember in the 90's thinking the world was upside down. It was downright rock solid sane compared to today. It's impossible to take it seriously until it's pointing a gun at your head.

The point is that all my posts come from that mindset - added to the fact that I simply do not get angry in these threads. I may get incredulous, but I never feel frustrated, angry, hurt, etc. It's simply not possible. For starters, the only person that can hurt me is my wife, because she is the only one that has that kind of power and authority over my life. And I grant it voluntarily because she has never abused it. And the government is the only one that can anger me because, well, they have the power to point a gun in my face and force me to do or not do a thing. But even then, I put it in perspective, relative to the teaching of Christ.

So I'm here for fun and the ability to educate and be educated.

To be clear, I didn't say anything about you specifically. Though, if you're interested to hear my thoughts on folks who would defend James Fields as a hapless soul who panicked after his car was attacked, well... Hit me up in a few weeks after one of my warnings expires and I have some wiggle room.

But the general trend to which I was referring has been around a while.

I was never in the armed forces. I did work, a few years ago, as a civilian employee.

I signed up for the air force back in 1973. While taking the tests to see if I qualified (and before I was fully committed) I had to take a hearing test. I had to push down this big button (like at a crosswalk) every time I heard a tone. Well, this went on for a long time and I finally just stopped pressing the button.

Which gave me the chance to contemplate what would happen if I was in boot camp and was asked to do something and didn't have the choice to say no.

I didn't sign up because there was no doubt in my mind that I'd either go AWOL or be killed/imprisoned. So I stayed out.

No, that makes him a troll. He's trolling people that like to use ad-hominem attacks.

We agree on this, that Trump is a troll. He loves making tweets that keep the racist KKK and Neo Nazi components of his base very happy, usually by trolling and attacking non-white groups. Such as NFL players taking a knee or Puerto Ricans immediately after horrific natural disaster, or stating that some Nazis and KKK members are "very fine people".

Some might consider this sort of divisive rhetoric acceptable. I do not.

Naw. I was saying that I sometimes think moderators (on a lot of sites)...

Oops. It just struck me that this may violate site rules. I need to check to see if our site allows discussion of moderation.

Let me just say that there are a lot of words thrown about as accusations with no understanding of what a word actually means, that it can be fun to educate people on their meaning.
