None of which were scientists, were they?
Some of them may have had scientific training once upon a time, but no. Executives of pharmeceutical companies are not scientists. They are doing a different kind of job altogether. We don't know about the scientists who were working for the company, whether any of them suspected that the drug might be dangerous and were overruled by the executives.

Still no definition of "planet," I see, av.
I don't think I should have to.

I didn't define it in the first place, and I didn't [have to] rig a vote to change it.

The Bible refers to them as ...

Jude 13a Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars,

A classification that probably includes comets, asteroids, and who knows what else.

That's good enough for me.

So what's all this about then, av? Did you have to cover up a pre-2006 solar system tattoo?

I think the OP is pretty self-explanatory, don't you?

That's why educatees like to question it.

Too simple for you?

You are the one who insists that it´s a planet and keeps making a big fuzz about it. So, yes, you have to.
I think you guys insisted it was a planet too at one time, so I wouldn't talk.

And there are scientists that still do.

The question shouldn't be: "Why do I think Pluto is our ninth planet?"

The question should be: "Why don't I accept Pluto's demotion to dwarf planet?"

Reminds me of what a co-worker of mine said, who is a college chemistry teacher. "I spent the first 20 years flunking students for not knowing, what we now know is wrong." He was exaggerating a bit, but he was sincere in his sentiment.

Yes, he is the type of scientist I admire. He is open to discuss any issues without being condescending and most importantly is willing to actually say "I don't know". Now that is the mark of a wise man!

The question should be: "Why don't I accept Pluto's demotion to dwarf planet?"
Answer: Because you're scared of the pain a cover-up of your solar system tattoo?

Suggestion, rather than cover up Pluto, just give it a *, with an explanation tattooed below, saying something like, 'I consider Pluto to still be a planet, in spite of what them ebil science types say.
