Then you'll have to explain the warning Jesus gives to believers in Revelation who continue in their sins.
In Revelation, Jesus gives warning to the churches concerning the things they are doing correctly and the things they need to repent of. This does not necessarily mean all in those churches are believers and obviously if those who are sinning repent then they still have hope for forgiveness and eternal life.

He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. 1 John 5:12-13
And once one sins do they still have the Son of Light in them? No, they don't. Please don't confuse God's mercy and forgiveness with our sin as never being lost once we sin after being saved. And because we are still dying we do not he have eternal life. Only when we eat from the Tree of Life will we have it. And that will not happen until we enter into the City of God according to Revelation.

That's not what John 3:16 says:
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
It sounds like eternal life comes from belief in Jesus rather than eating from the Tree of Life. Jesus said that HE is the way, the truth, and THE LIFE.

Yes. One who is born again and made a new creation in Christ cannot and does not go back to being spiritually unborn or to the old creation. A saved person who sins sometimes is a different story than someone who practices on-going sin (which would indicate that such a person is not saved).
If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us. 1 John 1:8-10

A person is still "dying" even after they ask Christ to forgive them of their sins, even if they don't commit another sin in their entire life. To say otherwise is to say that once we're saved, our biological clock comes to a stop until we commit a sin. Then we ask to be forgiven, and then it stops again.
Sorry, but our body continues to die whether we sin or not.

Huh? When did I say we stop dying physically when we abstain from sin? I simply said that we don't have eternal life until we enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Meaning that salvation can be lost if those members of the church remain in sin.

I believe you still go to heaven. I wish God would end the world as it is because the world is becoming uninhabitable imo.

what a strange wish, the world is still largely habitable.

"Good" people, believers DO end their own lives at times. BUT it isn't because God failed. There are a myriad of reasons why a believer could complete such an act, maybe something as "simple" as the person God sent to help them refused to go... or the negative thinking the person had was never countered but minimized... ultimately they gave up on this life.

Paul had such thoughts, but God brought him through it. My ideas would also follow this line that "wow, why continue to battle this horrible life I have when I can go home to God and live in peace?" And indeed, sometimes life is very, very difficult for long periods of times (I am in my 30th year of disabling pain and injury). BUT HE GIVETH MORE GRACE.

Paul stated it would be easier to go home to Christ, but that he stayed because it benefitted those still living. And indeed his life did--and still does! We don't know just what is around the corner for us, and it could be that God has great things in store. The devil doesn't know what God has for us, he just attacks and attacks trying to keep us from HIS will.

Realize the battle is not yours...this depression...but of the devil (I don't know anyone who purposely sits down in their life and says they're going to become depressed and hate their life!) GOD will fight this fight for those who are depressed... lean on Him, in His care, under His wing, rest upon His bosom... be still and KNOW that HE IS GOD and loves you and will bring you through.
I too live in a lot of daily physical pain and many times I have wondered why God has me here. I believe it was Paul who "despaired of life" and I can see why.

Will you still go to hell if you're saved and commit suicide?

i can tell you two things

suicide is not recommended at least because there is no guarantee that the soul of the suicide won't suffer at the very moment of suicide as well as posthumously - or can you guarantee such a thing?!, because personally i can't

one thing is very certain, the souls of those who drive people to commit suicide will suffer more than the victims of their iniquity

Blessings

I asked earlier why the OP asked this but he has not responded yet. I hope it is not something you are considering. I can assure that as you work through things in life with Jesus he can heal any mental health issues including depression that could lead to thoughts like this. I have been there before following bullying by my boss at work. As it turned out I also found out I have a food intolerance which also affects my mind and makes me paranoid, depressed, irritable and generally just feel down. Adding the bullying pushed me from struggling to cope with what I now know are the symptoms of my food intolerance to full on depression.

My doctor gave me anti-depressants for it but they contained something I was intolerant to so made me even worse. The combination of stress from the bullying and food intolerance and the mind altering tablets led me to the point of not caring if I lived any more. Since then, with Gods help, I am now mentally healthy and happy with life. The point being that there can be many reasons for feeling like that which Jesus can heal. In the end it was all down to God with me and I eventually gave up with doctors for that as their tablets they put me on made me worse. For others it is the tablets correcting an illness that works, so you should not give up on them easily.

Everyone needs to find the right cure for them, but with Jesus. Having been in that place I would say that anyone who commits suicide is not in a healthy place and is suffering from mental illness and/or demonic influence. We have authority over demons so as long as we remove their means of entry they have to obey us when we tell them to leave (for me this was confessing every one of my sins, my parents sins, etc and asking God to remove any what is currently called soul ties that I could think of that may have been negative including every girlfriend I slept with before being saved, friendships with the wrong people that I held onto, etc).

Add to that, that when I was a kid I had a particularly bad childhood and was at the point of suicide many times. There was always something that stopped me going ahead with it and looking back I know it was God. Many times I had a knife to my wrist or walked or cycled in front of cars and was stopped from dying. There were times I walked out in front of cars doing about 40mph a few feet in front of them and they would miss me. There is no way they could avoid me so I have come to the conclusion that there is no explanation other than God saved my life. I expect you are thinking I am exaggerating but I am not, I really should not be alive. But as I said, I am happy now.

This is a tough question to answer. As someone who has struggled with suicidal thoughts in the past, it's one that I've pondered myself.

I don't know the "right" answer and none of us will until we get to meet Jesus ourselves and ask him. But in response I'll give you the verses in my signature:

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39

I sincerely hope that you are not considering suicide as an option, my friend. I hope that all is well and I'll be praying.

I read too many news stories and have lived through many things and that's exactly how I feel - of course I'm older and didn't feel that way years back. You can't change your true feelings. God said He wants "truth in our innermost being" and that's what I live by. There's a verse about "groaning inwardly for that time" - that would be the best description. "Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies." Romans 8:23

Really? Then what is the point of a Savior? Of course God cares and He wants us to be honest and confess.
According to 1 John 1:8-10 to say we have no sin means we are deceiving ourselves, the truth is not in us, and it is calling Jesus a liar and His word is not in us.

Yes. Suicide is " murder of thyself" and you cannot ask for forgiveness because, well, you're dead, and so that is a previous sin that goes unanswered, no one can ask forgiveness for you, so God will judge you for it, take it as a rejection of his gifts by acting selfish and taking it upon yourself to end it, Your life is not your own but God's, it is not yours to end.
You cannot ask for forgiveness, you said, does the scripture not say that all our sin has been atoned for by Jesus on the cross. Isa 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. That does not mean a license to sin, but does give us peace of mind that though we may transgress we do not loose our place in the body of Christ. 1John2:1-2 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
