No. Could you please stop avoiding mine? Why? Are my questions difficult for you?
I understand that particular doctrine. But that is what begs the question.
Why weren't everybody predestined before the creation of the world? Why create souls who would not be so blessed?
You told me you keep the commandments, Hammster. That is all I wanted to know.
I don't think you are as much of a Calvinist as you let on.
Why would I not want to obey His commandments? Why do you think being an obedient child is in opposition to Reformed Theology?
How do those verses support your saying you have always been a sheep?John 10. Plus all of the references to sheep where they are all His.
It's easy, really, if you look past your presuppositions. Who is allowed into the sheep pen? Sheep. Who does the Shepherd call? Sheep. Who does He go after? Sheep. How do those verses support your saying you have always been a sheep?
Those verses are talking about those who sneek into the sheep pen (churches) by some other means than through Christ and are infiltrators of the church trying to get to the sheep.
Christ is the only true way into the sheep pen. Thats what those verses are saying
This verse does not say that Jesus calls His sheep to the sheep pen. It's easy, really, if you look past your presuppositions. Who is allowed into the sheep pen? Sheep. Who does the Shepherd call? Sheep. Who does He go after? Sheep.
“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved and will come in and go out and find pasture.”This verse does not say that Jesus calls His sheep to the sheep pen.
This verse says that the SHEEP (already saved) know His voice.
So I'm not sure how you think that verse is about calling anything because it is about those who are already sheep.
I'm still waiting for you to answer my questions. It's a good thing you want to keep His commandments. It is by keeping His commandments that you enter life. Is this a Reformed belief? It's what Jesus taught us.
No because the verses specifically say that those who do not come through the gate but by another means. Read the verses again. It's easy, really, if you look past your presuppositions. Who is allowed into the sheep pen? Sheep. Who does the Shepherd call? Sheep. Who does He go after? Sheep.
I know. Who gets in?No because the verses specifically say that those who do not come through the gate but by another means. Read the verses again.
So there is another way in not through Christ.
I'm still waiting for you to answer my questions.
I'm still waiting for you to answer my questions.Hammster, two things we know about His sheep - they know His voice and they follow Him. Do you agree?
Do you believe you knew His voice and followed Him while in your depraved state, as a child of wrath, obeying your sinful nature, and without Christ? Paul says you had no hope. Did you practice righteousness and love your brother?
Ephesians 2
11 Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands—
12 that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
1 John 3:10
In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.
How were you a sheep when you were without God, being uncircumcised, an alien, a stranger, and having no hope?
John tells you who you were when you did not practice righteousness and did not love your brother, that is, a child of the devil. The doctrine of total depravity totally separates you from being a sheep.
I'm still waiting for you to answer my questions.Does a child of wrath get in?
I'm still waiting.Do you even know what answers for which you are waiting?
