Simple question: "What sends a person to hell...?"

I think these give the answer:

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23

These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.

Mat. 25:46

Sin leads to death and righteous will get the gift that is the eternal life.

(Hell is the second death, where body and soul can be destoyed: "...fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell". Matt. 10:28. Second death is mentioned in Rev. 20:12-15, the place for the first death also.)

God Bless!

simple answer - after leaving this body u don't have body any more. u will travel through your soul which is pure which can't lie as your body. it has to either go to hell or heaven. if your soul is strong enough to go to heaven, it will go to heaven, else it will go to hell according to justice given by God .

when you believe in Jesus, after your death jesus will take you to heaven, if you live according to his will. if your departed soul is strong enough to remember that jesus saved me, you will enter into his kingdom. but the way you live earthly life will decide your fate after your death. if you remember jesus daily while your r living, Jesus will also remember you after your death

sorry I said simple answer, but it was a bit complicated

Jesus said "I am the way the truth and the life. No one gets to the Father except by me."
Combine that with

"For the wages of sin is death"

"For by grace are you saved through faith"

"For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. For the world is condemned already"

We are sinners in need of a savior. Condemned already. It is only by faith in Jesus Christ that we can be saved. So, the answer is our own sin condemns us to hell and the rejection of Christ as our only savior puts the nail in the coffin so to speak

I don't think anyone would willfully choose to be tortured for eternity

No, of course not. But they do choose to refuse to accept God's gracious salvation and lordship. And the direct consequence of that is eternity without God. We are all free to make a choice about our relationship with God. We do not get to define the consequences of our choice. Whichever choice we make.

Unrepentant sin and that which GOD the heavenly father declares as worthy of that state.

In accordance with scriptures the act of blasphemy of the holy spirit we are told is an unpardonable sin so in effect that is the other for it is unrepentable act.

Praise be to GOD the heavenly father and his son lord JESUS CHRIST>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Has not God communicated how He saves clearly? Has He left us in the dark on the subject? Has not not been publicly crucified? Has Christ not said of Himself, "I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life?

Yes, No, Yes, Yes. But, what does your questions have to do with “you” understanding His ways, means and judgment for other people regarding the things that send “them” to hell? Ecclesiastes 12:14 For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil. You are turning the conversation away from “what sends a person to hell” to “how can a person avoid going to hell”. The latter was not the question.

Maybe "what" sends us to hell is not the issue; perhaps "who" sends us to hell is, and that would be God the Father Almighty.
Who is easy, I more want to concentrate on "what"...?

God Bless!

The sin of Adam. "Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men. . ." Romans 5:18)
Or, the Sin of the Devil and his demons... (could send us to hell)...

The sin of Adam is not the same as the sin of the Devil and is, I think, fixable and forgivable and was fixed by Christ...

Pride, selfishness, egotism, thinking you are like or can even be greater than God himself...

Those are the sins of the Devil (Satan) and his followers...

God Bless!

Why is pride so bad...?

Shouldn't we have a little pride...? You mean we can't even have just a little...?

It's a very slippery slope... It shows a lack of faith and trust and shows "unbelief" in God as God...

And (this part) is what makes it so bad..., It replaces faith and trust in God as God, with a faith and trust in ones own self, and "their own" ability(s) in and of them own selves, as God...

It is very bad, because then you become your own God IN THE PLACE OF, God, as God, who is (actually) God... And it elevates YOU, and YOUR OWN ability(s) as greater than God and God's (abilities) (in and through you)...

Be on guard against it continually if you have to... It's worse than you may think...

Could send you to hell too...

God Bless!

Ever heard the new song "ask me how I know" by Garth Brooks, excellent song and message, anyhow, this is a "ask me how I know" moment...

Their transgression of God's perfect and holy standard and there refusal to repent and trust in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins; God justly and righteously sends them to Hell.

Is repentance just a admission of guilt, or is it an admission of guilt followed up by a change afterward...

If it is the latter, we cannot successfully repent (if the latter) of "all" sin(s), can we...?

Repentance, Repenting, and being "repentant"...?

God Bless!
