I'm sorry if I offended anyone and sounded ignorant. I'm not very good with words. I agree with what you said, but the point that I was trying to make was that we shouldn't pray to God expecting Him to appear or speak to us. We have to have faith and confidence that when we pray, God will handle our problems, even if nothing happens immediately afterward.

Spoken as a true follower of the Lord Jesus. Fruits always show.

My friend snapping did it for me. It’s like God never wants to see me happy…
It might seem that way but that’s not true. Believe the word not your emotions. Your heart may need a lecture regarding what's true (Jer 31:3, Jn 10:10).

I've been lonely all my life...I'm just like if you can't find it in your heart to give me a friend to keep me company ...could you yourself at least talk to me.
We must draw near to him (Re 2:4). If he says that he will stick closer than a brother, than it’s true (Pr 18:24). We’ve got all kinds of tests to pass. Demonstrate that you’re still there even when he seemingly is not (Deut 31:8, Heb 11:6). He’ll be back.

I've asked for years to hear God speak to me or feel his presence...something! And I got nothing...Nothing. I asked , I tried..and still nothing.
All that God does is good. We aren’t better than him, nicer than him, etc. If that’s the way it’s going to be then say, “Yes, Lord. You want me miserable right now? Yes Lord.” We must get over being offending by what he’s allowed for us in this life. Phil 4:11 Besides, you’re not seeing what’s happening on the other side of the scales (2 Co 4:17). Angels are watching in the stands (Heb 12:1). They’ve never sinned--never not loved God; so, to them this is foreign. Praise him when you’re at your lowest low. They’ll watch in wonderment and it will infuriate Satan. We get a new earth. They get a new heaven (Re 21:1).

…[M]y only friend who I loved so much descended into madness, 3 years...gone just like that. ( Why let my friend descend into madness?
It’s a mad time (2 Ti 3:3 KJV, Ro 1:31 KJV).

Why couldn't he be blessed with a sound mind like a lot of people? Why? I tried to make friends with a girl at work and she hasn't texted back, so it’s like I can't have anything. Why does God just pick on some people?
Everyone has felt picked on at times (1 Co 10:13)—that doesn’t make you feel better—great he picks on others, too. He knows how to turn up the heat, no doubt; but, he will reward you for your stick-to-a-tivness.

Why is God so jealous he can't stand to see me genuinely happy. with or without him...
God’s jealously is a good thing. Coveting is wanting something that doesn’t belong to you. All men belong to God; so, his being jealous for mankind is right and appropriate. If he were not jealous for you, then that would mean that he doesn’t love you. Ex. 20:5

…I'm just like am I just here as Gods special punching bag? When he gets mad...its time to mess with me? I'm over it....
Where else are you going to go? Jn 6:68

… I never did anything to Him except try to be close and I won't try anymore...I'm not ...I'm done. I mean what's the point so I can reach out and God can be silent some more? I think I've learned my lesson.
You get your tears wiped away someday (Re 21:4). Who wipes his tears away? Is 53:3 He yearns (Jas 4:5) and his needs will go unmet because not all will go to heaven (Eze 33:11). If you really want to get him, then reject him like everyone else (Ex 23:2, Mt 7:13).

“He loves you but he will live without you.” ~ J. Vernon McGee

The LORD is righteous in all his ways,
And holy in all his works.
The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him,
To all that call upon him in truth.
He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him:
He also will hear their cry, and will save them.
The LORD preserveth all them that love him:
But all the wicked will he destroy.
My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD:
And let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever. Ps 145:17–21

I have been in deep despair. I have lost family members to death and others to circumstance to the point that I was literally alone. I ended up in a foreign country with absolutely no one. I was angry at God. He took my parents, my family...I was so very alone.

Jonah was angry with God. Naaman was angry with God. But God still performed miracles in their lives. I am not promising miracles. But I do know that God can restore and heal.
Because of your suffering, you are able to help others. Praise God.

Sometimes we're not supposed to handle things by ourselves, we need others. Other Christians, people who have their own problems that they feel they can't overcome on their own.

But it's not just between you and God, sometimes God wants to put people in front of us, and answer our prayers through them.
Good point. God may wish to use another person to answer your prayer (e.g. intercessory prayers, helps, etc.). Rom. 12:6–8; 1 Cor. 12:4–30

God loves you period! It may not feel like it... But He does not change. Our reward is in Heaven. His grace is now. It is sufficient to get you through until, He takes us Home. Millions of people have hard difficult and depressing lives. But this life is temporary and but a vapor. Stop focusing on yourself, and focus on the Lord Jesus. We are told to keep our eye on the prize, you get it when the race is over. Being happy, joyful and content are choices. If your focus is on the things beyond this life, on our blessed hope. That's where there is fullness of joy. You certainly won't find it cursing the Lord.
I wish you peace, and to know you are loved beyond measure.

Nothing. I asked , I tried..and still nothing.

I try to do the right thing, with my aunt at her church...but I just got treated badly for it... Even when we moved out of the hotels my mom got in a freaking car accident...

And my only friend who I loved so much descended into madness, 3 years...gone just like that. ( Why let my friend descend into madness? What's the point? And I hear about my other f4lends and how well they're doing ..one is going to make 1000 a week.. And she's younger than me... ..

And I'm just like am I just here as Gods special punching bag? When he gets mad...its time to mess with me?

I'm over it....

I don't think I can love a god like this.
I'm so close to telling God go f**** yourself.,.

Bc I never did anything to Him except try to be close and I won't try anymore...I'm not ...I'm done.

I mean what's the point so I can reach out and God can be silent some more? I think I've learned my lesson.
Try on the attitude of Job...do you know his story well?...
Job 2:9-10:
His wife said to him, “Are you still maintaining your integrity? Curse God and die!”
He replied, “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?”

In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.

We are given hardship and if we persevere we grow in faith and hope..hope, not for this world, but for the hereafter. Do not give up trying to make friends and loving others...try doing it with the attitude that you deserve nothing in return. Sincere love of a neighbor shines through though eventually. Not all friendships are easy nor are they always spiritually edifying...depends on whether or not you should be able to meet a Christian friend...which would be edifying. I fear your faith is still weak and your emotional state a bit weak as well, should you make a friend who is worldly they may lead you down the wrong path completely...mostly thinking this b/c you are so eager for companionship. There is probably deeper spiritual companionship derived from working with God's Word.
Consider this passage as well...
Romans 5:1-5:
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Dear one,
May I tell you that I love the scriptures you have given. I would, however, love for you to know that someone suffering from depression has a hard time being told the story of Job. Depression is often referred to as anger turned inward. So, a person that is depressed does not feel able to parallel with Job. He was such a great man and depression makes you feel worthless. Job's own friends beat him up when he was down.

"I fear your faith is weak" is condemning. If you would, please understand, a person suffering depression is already condemning themselves far beyond imagination.

Romans 5:1-5 is an excellent passage for encouragement and exhortation. In the depths of despair, that is what someone truly needs. Anytime, that is what someone truly needs.

1Thessalonions 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

I feel I'm a bit of an authority on major depressive illness...I live with it and have for years. I used all these Scriptures. One must look to Job and David. And no, depression is not always hate turned inward. I am not condemning; I was sincerely trying to help. If one is a Christian and one turns to God (completely) then one will and must look for applicable Scriptures for the real cure...God's medicine is His word.

You are correct in saying one would do well to look to HIS word for applicable scriptures. I agreed with you in my post on applicable scripture that you posted.

Perhaps we can talk in PM about major depressive illness. I've posted already that I suffer with it as well. I have lost 3 people in my family to suicide. I know a bit about it also.
Blessings.

Stop focusing on yourself, and focus on the Lord Jesus.
Good point. It not all about us. It’s about him. He’s calling out a people for his namesake.

Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them.

Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation [Exod. 15:12–13].

“Israel was a redeemed people. The redemption of the people had to come first. That is the important thing today. God is not asking you to do one thing for Him until you have been redeemed and have accepted His salvation accomplished by Jesus Christ upon the cross. He is not asking you for anything. He is not demanding that the world do anything. God is not saying, “If you will prove yourself, come up to a higher standard, wash your face, rake your yard, and put up a good front, I am willing to be your good neighbor.” God does not want anything from the world. He is saying to a lost world, “What will you do with My Son who died for you?” Listen once again to verse 13: “Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.” It sounds as if they are already in the Promised Land. As far as God is concerned, they are in the land because He is going to take them there.” McGee, J. V. (1997). Thru the Bible commentary (electronic ed., Vol. 1, pp. 249–250). Nashville: Thomas Nelson.

We are told to keep our eye on the prize, you get it when the race is over.
We’re in a marathon (Phil 3:14).

Being happy, joyful and content are choices.
The children of Israel had to celebrate Tabernacles (Sukkot)—be happy! They may have said, “But I don’t feel like being happy.”

Be happy--there’s something we can thank him for.

Feast of Tabernacles

“13 Celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days after you have gathered the produce of your threshing floor and your winepress. 14 Be joyful at your Feast—you, your sons and daughters, your menservants and maidservants, and the Levites, the aliens, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns. 15 For seven days celebrate the Feast to the LORD your God at the place the LORD will choose. For the LORD your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete.

16 Three times a year all your men must appear before the LORD your God at the place he will choose: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks and the Feast of Tabernacles. No man should appear before the LORD empty-handed: 17 Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the LORD your God has blessed you.” The Holy Bible: New International Version. (1984). (Dt 16:13–17). Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan.

You certainly won't find it cursing the Lord.
That’s right. Never in scripture is anyone rewarded by dissing God. Respond rightly. He’s good in all he does (Ps. 145:7).

Sometimes all we need or feel that we need is a friend, Jesus is that friend.

If you're a Christian and the devil is fighting you and pounding on you, we have an arsenal of weapons to face him.

Bind and rebuke the devil in Jesus name. Just speaking the name Jesus makes all demons, demonic spirits, and the devil tremble.

You can also just sing, praising God makes him work more in your life. If you can't find the strength to sing, you can always just listen to Christian music. It works just as well. I have only Christian songs on my phone and on CDs and it totals up to five hundred fifty and six songs.* I added more from my computer library.* I forgot I took some doubles off. I still think it's quite a bit.

If you have a radio you can turn it to a Christian radio station.

My local ones are American Family Radio, AFR, which for me is 91.7, and The Bridge, which for me is 88.7.

There's all kinds of ways that we can keep the devil away from us.

We just have to trust God, and remember, obedience to God comes first, then Faith and Belief come naturally.

Hello Far Side Of The Moon,

I pray that you will not give up on God, for he will never give up on you. We humans tend to feel hurt because rather than trusting God, we trust people. I do understand the desire to have a friend, but you know what? The greatest friend you can have is Our Lord and Saviour Jesus. Trust in him, lay your thoughts and feelings at the cross and let him heal your hurt.

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord . “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.
Jeremiah 29:11‭-‬13 NLT
Jeremiah 29:11-13; For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

You had better seriously reconsider. You die in rebellion and you're headed to a place of desolation such a you cannot even comprehend. You do not want to die in your sins. You do, and there will be no one to save you then.

God Almighty cannot fail anyone. If there is any failure, its on your part.

The greatest gift God has given to you and everyone else is His life. Now, you give Him yours.

1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Mat 14:30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
Mat 14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
I just read this. I cannot believe how anyone can be so unkind, mean spirited, and judgmental towards someone who is hurting. Reading these words, I'm reminded yet again how too often, Christians shoot their own wounded.
