As in the previous scripture good and evil were known before the creation. There are probably long tales that could go along with this that I do not know of.

I believe that the creation of this universe is in response to Lucifer's fall.

So, the devils and his angels are here on earth seeking whom they can trip up.

Many think Lucifer was here before the creation, and I say not so, because of Genesis 2 verse 1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. In reading over the true story behind the movie "The Exorcist" I find the Catholic priest stating this to the demonic forces...

Priests: In the name of the one God in three Persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I order you to depart and worship the Holiest Virgin. In the name of the Holiest Virgin and in the name of Jesus… I order you to leave! In the name of the one God in three Persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, I order you to worship the Holiest Virgin.

Notice that the priest brought Michael the Archangel into the situation. Michael's third are greater in power than Lucifers third.

Still have not answered the question. I did not expect an answer. To have an opinion about how this is done one must first have knowledge of it, and experience.

Did Gabriele Amorth really exorcise 160,000 demons?

But what of Mr Amorth’s ‘success’ all these long years in casting out demons? I am sure he would say to you that he has seen and heard many things in his work that convinces him he is a true exorcist. Satan can appear by deception to have been exorcised, because it is obvious from the bible that false apostles appear to exorcise. The Pharisees made reference to that when the charged Jesus of casting out demons by the power of Beelzebub. (Matthew 12:25-27a). Jesus will shockingly tell the false ones on His day that though they performed exorcisms, they never knew Jesus.

“Not every one who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. On that day many will say to Me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and cast out demons in Your name, and do many mighty works in Your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you evildoers.'” (Matthew 7:21-23, emphasis mine)

Christians can be oppressed. That is, satan has power that he has unleashed in the world around us, which finds its way into our flesh and solicits sin. But possessed? No.

I'm under the impression they howl in winds and cause bad things to happen elsewhere, if they can't latch onto already tortured souls then what about our precious Earth and her elements? What if they did make the Earth grumble and the skies cry?
And if Jesus can calm the winds and soothe the waters then all the better for us to grow in Him!

Correct, demons are wandering spirits. In fact that's what the Greek diamona literally meant. In the book of Job, God asks Satan what he was up to and he responds by saying he was "to and fro" (Job 1:7). Jesus taught the same in Luke 11:24. The various spiritual powers also have their abodes in the expanses of the air and in space Ephesians 6:12

It is my belief that demons are restricted from physical manifestations and are only allowed activity in the spiritual realm with regard to us at this time.

Why don't atheists ever complain of demons?:/ Are they immune?

They just dont recognise them. A lot of what they diagnose as mental illness is probably demons.

I heard a sermon online not long ago where the pastor said that demons cannot breed or die so there are as many now as there have ever been. As half the people who have ever lived are alive now there arent many to go around. Dont know how true that is though.

The bible does not say she was healed of mental illness, it says the spirit (demon) to come out.

I was prayed over in church one time and it was said-maybe it meant I was under oppression?
