Proverbs 3:5-7 "Trust in the lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in your own eyes: fear the Lord and depart from evil."

I came here not to see people arguing, I came here because I love God, and because God Loves everyone. I thought that God put me here to fellowship with other Christians, but I see all of this and I think that we've all missed the point.

The Question was Why do people pray to Mary? I don't think God wants us to argue but to love one another. People pray to Mary because they choose to. The Holy Bible is God's Word. Everything from the first word of Genesis to the very last punctuation mark of Revelations is his word.

I think someone said that we don't pray to Mary, we just ask her to pray to the Father. But I think that when Jesus tore the Veil from top to bottom, God said we don't have to go through anyone person to get your prayers to the Father, and that as long as we have Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we could have our prayers go straight to him, through the Holy Spirit.

We are all entitled to our own beliefs, that's why God gave us free will. To love him without being forced to. All he wants is a relationship with us, a close, loving friendship. He LOVES us and all he asks is that we Love him with all we are, and Love others as he loves them.

People are people too. We all have feelings and emotions, but I think sometimes we forget that God Almighty, behind all of his power,
is a person too. He has feelings and emotions too. He LOVES us SO much. Why can't we love each other like Jesus Loves us.

Jesus said, no greater love hath a man than he would give his life for his friend. Would all of you be willing to die for each other? I would. I don't know any of you, but God knows you, and that's enough for me.

Please stop arguing and remember GOD is GOD and there is none other, and remember that he has a Heart too, complete with feelings, Love and Compassion, just like us. Before you type another letter, I ask you in Jesus Christ's Holy Name, think deeply, and ask yourself, "What would Jesus do?" What would Jesus' response to the original poster be? Would he even consider praying to anyone but his Father? Would he argue his beliefs? Or would he be humble?

God has feelings too, and he doesn't want to be forgotten, so please remember God in everything you do. And ask yourself, "What would Jesus Christ do?"

God Bless you all, in Jesus Christ Holy Name, Amen.

The post button glitched out on me, but I have to assume that was God's handiwork. So that's why I accidentally made four of the same posts, I wasn't trying to spam, but I guess when God wants something done, he'll even glitch out a website. I guess God really wanted to make his point.

No. Jesus elevated her position. If you have a problem with that, take it up with Him.

John 2:4---""Woman, why do you involve me?" Jesus replied. "My hour has not yet come."

Luke 11:27-28--"As he said these things, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts at which you nursed!” But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”

It doesn't appear that He is elevating her.

Why limit the gifts God gives us?

Marian devotion makes sense ONLY in the light of sound Christology. I want it thoroughly understood that Mariology is a subject I would not touch except after about 6-10 sessions on Eastern Orthodox Christology, were I teaching catechumens.

But if anyone denies that the holy Theotokos Mary has anything to do in our lives, I know better, as all other Orthodox do.

Roger that!

Christ chose Her as His pure vessel through which to incarnate into His creation, and because of this, the Gospel message begins with the word: "REPENT!", for it is only in our repentance unto purity of heart that we can enter into and receive Christ...

Christ did not choose a dirty vessel then, nor does He now, but: "A heart that is broken and humbled God will not despise" [Ps 50/51]

Our fleshly bodies are themselves the Temple of the Holy Spirit within us... In an important sense, we are the ongoing incarnation of our Lord... And just as Mariam was pure for His entry into Creation, so also must we follow unto purity of heart that He incarnate in us as we enter His Holy Body, the Church...

"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." (Christ)
"Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!" (John the Baptist, Christ our Savior, and the Holy Apostle Peter)
'We hold the Mystery of the Faith in a pure conscience." (The Holy Apostle Paul)

Christ is risen!

He is Risen indeed!

So Jack, do you recognize my Avatar?

Did He obey Her request?

You might consider getting a better translated Bible...

KJV is fairly good...

His question was: "What (is that) to you and to Me? My time is not yet come."

And then He obeyed Her...

He also "obeyed" those who asked Him to heal them. That doesn't make them an authority over Jesus, and it certainly doesn't mean that those He healed are to be prayed to.

He healed because that was part of His gift and calling as the Messiah the anointed one who was sent not to condemn but offer salvation to the world.Scripture also said for children to obey their parents.Nowhere does scripture tell us to pray to Mary. She has no power to heal or forgive sins or intercede for us. That authority rests on Christ. We go through Him to get to the throne of of the Father. Mary is dead and dust. She wasn't resurrected, didn't ascend. She's in Sheol.Jesus however is alive.Just my take on things. Hope it isn't off topic.

Wow.. one has to walk very softly here. One would THINK you can just share...but.. you cant.

I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. So W2L what is written? Yes .. seems like almost each group has there own real word of GOD. For me.. Jesus said HE is the Way.. HE is the truth HE is the life. IF anyone comes to Him He will not cast out. John 3:16. Believe that you are saved. He said what about ASKING? Look it up..

See Yeshua/JESUS is real. Its not what I say here or anyone else...or in this WORLD! If we follow a man/woman we get only what they personally believe. Is that what you want? TO just blindly follow someone? Then ASK HIM! So many just SAY I love Jesus I believe in Jesus and are so blessed for they believe and never seen. Yet HE IS REAL! You ask HIM..talk to HIM..no... talk to HIM.. the key is you have to ask with your heart. Ask HIM to show YOU where its written Mary can do this or that or ANYONE for that matter. For if I says Mary can.. or cant.. it becomes MY truth.

What I personlly believe is what the WORD of GOD says. And I have seen experence so much from my Father in heaven..the Father of our lord Jesus Christ. And one main reason I believe this has happen is I make SURE that what ever happens..if I HEAR or SEE something.. IT BETTER BE WRITTEN..always show CHRIST as lord.. HE is always 1st.. it leads to Him..goes inline with the word of God. So ask Him.

See with God ..here on earth there are MANY tents but ONE camp. Understand? Like 12 tribs but ONE camp. JESUS is the head.. as we look out we see many tents. Each one of those tents says JESUS came in the flesh ..He is the only way to the Father. Some dont believe in GIFTS of the Holy Spirit others do.. but JESUS is the only way to the Father..

So ...as a child of GOD..inwhich GOD is your TRUE Father...YOU ALONE can go before Him and TALK ask.. He is FOR YOU WITH YOU.. never against you.. not judging not condemning.. so ask HIM about Mary and where its written. BELIEVE! You have to BELIEVE! DONT go by what anyone says.. not even me.. for JESUS the Christ IS REAL! I do not have to prove anything. ANYONE can freely talk and EXPECT Him to talk back? He said HIS sheep KNOW not wonder not guess but KNOW His voice. You will just know. And it will ALWAYS go in line with the word of GOD.. HE and the word are one

The argument is valid and i think the question needs asked. The problem we have is that in Catholicism, Mary is taking a place where God alone has already supplied our needs via the Holy Spirit, who is inside Gods children. Its like saying the Holy Spirits intercession for us in prayer is not good enough, so we need Mary to intercede as well. God never commanded this prayer and it contradicts the Word.
Right. Only God gets the glory and him only.
