  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

I used to have the Israel flag hung up when I went through my Judaism phase. I still have it, along with 2 kippahs and a Jewish Publication Society Tanakh (English translation of the Hebrew Bible... meh, I'll stick with my KJV bible now).

I suppose I can still support Israel, but I'd rather not hang the flag up.

So you were experimenting with religion in the past? I actually recall you being of 'Other Religion' and you converted to Christianity after seeing that chip implant making the Mark of the Beast thing a reality.

What was being a Jew like?

Why don't Jeopardy! contestants ever listen to me when I scream the right answer through the TV to them?
Because I'm screaming my completely wrong suggestions louder.

"What is the capital of Ireland?"
"BRAVEHEART! IT'S BRAVEHEART I KNOW IT"

I knew I should've gotten that add-on that lets the people on TV hear you, instead of smell-o-vision!

I'll take internet subcultures for $400 please.

"This subculture is notorious for prancing around in animal costumes."

What is the... Furry... Fandom... I hate you.

Nah, before that. I was going to convert to Judaism (Orthodox) for many years. I was pretty serious and had a lot of motivation. Talked to some Rabbis about it many times, went to synagogue a few times, believed in the same things they did while not actually practicing the religion because I had yet to be converted or undergo an actual conversion process - was just stuck at the beginning.

I was never Jewish, and never got absorbed into the culture fully enough to form a full opinion. I still feel tied into it all in some ways, and I was able to learn a lot about the OT and such which helps form me as the Christian I am today.

As to what you said, that wasn't the reason I reverted back. When I first came back to Christ there was a 3 week period or so on here where I reverted back, but it was short lived as Christ very much had his grasp on my heart at that point - it was all just so new again to me and I wasn't firmly rooted yet.

I will say though I still avoid pork like the plague and other foods listed as unclean. I avoided pork as much as possible for many years so now it's just ingrained in me as a dislike for the most part (except maybe on pizza). I don't know my full opinion on unclean/clean foods and the meanings of such things, but I couldn't eat a ham sandwich if I tried (literally). I hate ham, bacon, etc. (this is just one aspect of things that still stuck with me)

I'm thankful to Christ for pulling me out.

I have 4 nukes and 7 thermonuclear devices. Not sure which are more powerful. Considering testing them out on Spain because they keep spying my home city.

You could give Gandhi a run for his money.

Seeing this North Korea debacle spiraling out of control, I'm just sitting here thinking, "So this is what the Cuban Missile crisis was like?"

Yup, back in the mid 2000's when Flash animation dominated internet humour instead of pictures with captions on them.

Angels sang out in a immaculate chorus
Down from the Heavens descended Chuck Norris
Who delivered a kick which could shatter bones
Into the crotch of Indian Jones
Who fell over on the ground writhing in pain
As Batman changed back into Bruce Wayne
But Chuck saw through his clever disguise
And crushed Batman's head in between his thighs
