  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

there is a general sense of confessing all sin and a specific one where God shows you specific things to deal with. Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors

David asked for forgiveness for secret sins, or sins he was not aware of.

What if a person gets angry when driving, curses, and gets into an accident? Would they go to hell?

Whether salvation can be lost or not shouldn't affect our walk with God.

I think you missed my point. If I've been rejected by God, there is no more walk. If He hates me, what reason is there to keep struggling?

And scripture says Judas was a devil and also that devils don't cast out devils, so how do we know that Judas actually cast out any demons himself?
At the beginning of Jesus ministry when he called unto him HIS twelve ( Judas included Matthews 10) Judas was given power to cast out devils. He also was in the book of life with the righteous, and he was a sheep sent to the lost sheep. In John 6 where Jesus said one of you is a devil, the next verse says this he spoke of Judas who SHOULD ( future tense) betray him. We read that near the end of jesus ministry, not at the beginning. Judas had walked with jesus for a long time before that. Also we read that "then Satan entered into him" at a certain point in time. To betray means to once have the trust of and go against that trust. Judas was a familiar friend of Jesus in whom he once trusted.Jesus doesn't trust devils.

And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day

Sure, that's his will, or what he'd prefer, but ultimately up to us, as individuals if we allow it. God doesn't want top lose anyone, or to send anyone to Hell, but it'll happen just the same.

I just don't see how you could see that scripture any differently than that?

Why did God allow the devil possess him if it would cause his perdition?

God knows the heart. and he will immediately convict you and sometimes we sin and it is sends before we are back in fellowship, other times we harden our hearts and it takes days or weeks or longer and some may not come back

but consider this. jesus said if you deny me before men I will deny you.

So what if a man was with his other brothers and sisters in Christ and tied to a stake in the arena in Rome and about to be burned and all he had to do was deny Jesus and he would be let go. So he denies Jesus with a curse and immediately they spear him through and he died immediately. In heaven what will happen? will jesus deny Him? as he said, for that one sin. Yes according to jJesus. Even if he lived 30 years and did not deny him before men.

does that make sense?

I know it a hard thing but. we are to walk circumspectly not as fools and know that the devil is like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. We must guard our hear and pass the time of ur sojourn here in fear, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. The love of God will give us strength and power and God will comfort us and teach us and give us all things that pertain to life and godliness

also God will, with every temptation leave a way to escape. But we must take it.

God cares for your soul
why do you think he hates you?

How can you say all those things about how easy it is to go to hell and ask "why do you think God hates you?" How could He NOT hate me? I came to Christ long ago. Doubted around eleventh grade I think and went through a phase of not considering myself Christian. I constantly have blasphemous and soul-selling thoughts. How could God not hate me, if better saints than me are condemned for one sin?

Why did the devil want Jesus to die on the cross?
this may give a clue

they did not understand perhaps.

1 Corinthians 2:8
Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not havecrucified the Lord of glory."

Maybe the devil really thinks he can defeat Jesus. He tried to tempt him also and failed

its not by your works that save you. It is by faith in Christ. Keep believing the gospel 1 Cor 15;1-4

whenever you fall confess and come to God in faith. He promises to give you love and strength and comfort. Abide with him always.

Look unto Jesus at all times the author and finisher of our faith

Continue in His word, walk n the Spirit and let God's grace work in you and teach you to deny ungodliness and worldly lust

Every man has a choice. God sets before them life and death they must chose

God doesn't force any

The Truth About Judas - Betrayer of Christ by David Wilkerson June 15, 1992

Jesus said to the arresting mob, "Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me" (Matthew 26:55). In other words: "I am well known to you - My face is familiar. Why this sudden attack as though I were a complete stranger to you?"

Clearly Judas' kiss was not needed to identify Christ - because Christ's enemies knew Him well already! His face was emblazoned on their consciences. And the aura of His mighty presence was itself enough to identify Him.

....? What about your own posts? Forsake Him and He will forsake you forever? Abide not and be cast into the fire? Stop believing and sent to hell?

What is the reason?

Will God let the fallen angels and Satan repent? | carm

But the problem is that the demonic forces will never want to repent of their sin. In their rebellion, they became evil. Evil is the opposite of God's holiness. It is the desire to do that which is against God, to inflict pain and suffering, and to have extreme malice towards anyone. Out of such a fallen state, no good can come. Therefore, it is not possible for the demonic realm to repent because they will never want to.
