It strikes me as mere conjecture. It is something we do not know one way or the other.

The ancient rabbis also said there was no sex before the fall; but for a very different reason: There was no time. Day 6 of creation had Adam being made early in the morning. By noon he was busy naming animals. Mid afternoon had him going to sleep and Eve was created. Later in the afternoon the snake came around and Eve ate the apple. Then Adam did as well. By sundown, they were kicked out of the garden.

I did agree with one point: that being ritually "impure" or unclean was NOT sinful.

I was taught that too as a kid in Church of the Nazarene sunday school. It was a doctrine of the late 19th to mid 20th century Wesleyan Holiness groups. Probably due to Victorian Era prudish attitudes.

But it is unscriptural because they are described in Genesis as "naked" and unashamed. The word for naked also means uncovered, undefended and unprotected. Being clothed in light does not fit that description.

Back in the late 1960s they talked about the "population explosion."
Rowan and Martin's Laugh In (kind of a precursor to SNL) had a comment made by (I think it was) Ruth Buzzy that there would not be much of a problem with the population bomb if it was not so much fun to light the fuse...
