  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes the SJW crowd is offended by whites, and Christians, not by the thugs who riot, and loot, not the ghetto fathers who leave their kids to live with their mama on food stamps in some Ghetto, last year a bunch of these SJW children was in fear of a Catholic priest at a College campus, because he "looked like a Klansman" with his robes. shows you these folks priorities.

I don't know about that, the groups of people interested in social justice go well beyond those hostile to Christianity. Most mainline churches in the US believe social justice is an important part of the Christian witness.

And Mainline Churches are dead, Social Gospel, pro-abortion, transgender Bishop, Gay Marriage, Open Communion churches, Who are losing members all the time since they decided to do away with their traditions, scripture, faith, etc. Since they 1960's/1970's. Probably in our lifetime of Children lifetime the last Episcopalian will be born, more Methodists are dying than being born, the ELCA had the biggest split in American history, The PCUSA resembles more the CPUSa. hardly could be called Christians, they care more about the Culture of the times, than Tradition, Faith or Scripture.

Conservative churches aren't growing either, for the most part.

Some of us seek out churches that are welcoming of ALL people.

My ELCA parish has several completely new members (like me), not just transfers from another Lutheran church. While its harder to inspire younger people to go to this type of church, I think that is mostly a cultural issue where we have trouble explaining to young people the importance of Christian faith as a lifelong process of formation. These same young folks who sleep in on Sundays aren't about to go to a more "Bible based" church, because honestly those churches have the same weaknesses or they are unreasonably demanding.

Wasn't he the victim? And just trying to use jokes to make himself feel better about what happened? That's what I read elsewhere.

Yeah, he was referring to two different things, he was referring to the time he was abused by a priest...
He said pedastery is okay, the media blew it up into "he says pedophilia is okay" (which was incorrect). When he corrected them, some said it wasn't a good enough explanation. He didn't just recount tales. He took a position on an issue.

I don't think it's that big of a deal, don't get me wrong. But it was his stance on consent that people got all riled up about, not him telling a story. Though him joking about the things that happened in his past didn't help, I'm sure.

I never really read anything Milo did, but I'm a big fan of Jimmy Carr and Anthony Jeselnik, so I doubt he would have shocked me.

On a 1998 broadcast of Politically Incorrect he opined that a sexual relation between a 14 year old boy and a 35 year old woman is perfectly fine.

Thanks. Not surprising either.

People are now going after Takei and Maher over their comments they made in the past. Wonder how many will be taken down by the end.

Better tell CPAC and Breitbart to stop falling for that leftist propaganda.

It was first put out by McMuffin and his Reagan Brigade or whatever they call themselves. Basically, a social-conservative group with funding from Democrats. I think that's what is called controlled opposition in most cases. Then the left went to town on it, as they were apparently waiting for Milo to get big enough before nuking him.

It's not really true that leftist organizations only think of white men as racist. The Southern Poverty Law Center monitors black nationalist groups as well.

But maybe the perception is that only white men can be racist. Maybe the perception is all that matters.

SPLC is so biased that the FBI dumped them as a resource in 2014.

To be fair, I really don't know much about him. I saw him once on Bill Maher and thought he was an insufferable little bleep.

I thought this Tweet from comedian Aparna Nancherla summed up my thoughts on him perfectly.

So we have Takei, Maher, Dunham, Polansky and Geraldo.
Will the Left who are decrying Milo as a perv be consistent and denounce the above names? And if not, why not?

Don't forget Lena Dunham, who reputedly made some very shocking statements about what she used to do to and with her younger sister.
