I skimmed the article and found no flaws in its reasoning. It is, however, just a case of semantics. Most Americans would be unable or unwilling to differentiate socialism from democratic socialism (which is why I put "socialism" in scare quotes). And when some American liberals, including Bernie Sanders, are talking about implementing "socialist" measures they arguably mean the true and tried democratic socialist structures from the Scandinavian or Northern European model.

Heaven? Unlikely. It's an imperfect system with its own sets of challenges. But it does work quite well.

I am not familiar with the composition of the Swedish and Norwegian governments. But prior to the current (as of June 2015) conservative-liberal administration, my country's Minister for Equality was Manu Sareen, who was born in India. There are, however, a few members of parliament of non-European decent. The conservative politician Naser Khader springs to mind.

If "the Cherokee" says, as you have, that she used what she thought - because she was told - that she had such heritage to get money or advantage, the that Cherokee is a liar.

There is a distinction, of course, between actual, provable citizenship of the Cherokee Nation, and purported heritage. But the interesting thing is not why Warren’s clung to her family lore for so long, it’s why so many white people in America claim Cherokee heritage to begin with.

Warren isn't even listed as a Native American in the Senate. She has also rebuffed requests to meet with Cherokee women and has never taken the time to join a tribe or help out the Cherokee community.

Nobody is disputing that she said she was Cherokee in a school directory and she is not (despite what she had been told growing up) BUT your claim in that "meme" is that she "made hundreds of thousands of dollars doing so" - that is a lie an alternative fact with no basis in reality.

Already established - she was hired and touted by the University as a minority member of Staff. Her salary was in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, she LIED MISLEAD, FABRICATED THE HERITAGE THAT GAVE HER AN EDGE TO GET THE POSITION.

That is not even disputed by her. It's not any clearer than that. I can explain it for the reader, comprehension is the sole responsibility of the reader.

If we look specifically at sex offences, which the Fox News segment highlighted, there were 18,100 sex offenses reported to the police in 2015, down 11 percent from 2014, according to the Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention.

The number of rapes reported decreased 12 percent between 2014 and 2015, to 5,920, the agency reported. The council noted that in Sweden, when a single case is reported, every incident associated with the case is also reported as an offense during the same year.

The amount of reported rape offenses has gone up in the last 10 years (2006-15), which the agency said can be partially attributed to new legislation in 2005 that augmented the types of acts that can be classified as rape.

"The effect of the statutory change appeared in the statistics such that the number of reported offences in respect of sexual coercion and exploitation declined in the years immediately following the statutory change while the number of reported rapes increased," according to the agency. In 2013, a rape offense was broadened "to include cases where the victim reacts passively."

A 2016 Swedish Crime Survey (which reflects crimes in 2015) found that 13.3 percent of about 11,900 survey respondents were exposed to one or more offenses (categories: assault, threats, sexual offences, robbery, fraud or harassment.)

The 13.3 percent in 2015 is an increase from 11.3 percent in 2014, but about the same level as in 2005, the survey said. The report does not make any reference to or distinction on crimes committed by immigrants.

Those pesky facts, getting in the way of some good ol' Sweden bashing.

Where I'm from, school shootings and accidental toddler death by gun isn't normal. I guess all countries have their little quirks. Luckily for me, and the Swedes, those kinds af attacks are due to internal disputes among criminals, and normal innocent people are very unlikely to feel any consequences. But hey, let's compare toddler deaths to hand grenade victims, shall we? You'll dig up how many that has died in hand grenade attacks, and I'll see if I can count the number of American toddlers who has died from acute lead poisoning.
